In this video we talk about the indominus rex, the t-rex rexy and the velociraptor blue in Jurassic world, and what the t-rex roar actually sounded like. The restricted section in jurassic world, and what was in there in 2015, indominus rex, the black indominus rex, and how the white indominus rex was a sad story. Including, scenes on the velociraptors, TREX (rexy) indoraptor, and scenes from Jurassic World, & Dominion. I enjoy making videos about dinosaurs such as this one!
Dinosaurs! this is not the indoraptor, but it is the t-rex tyrannosaurus in jurassic world, but it could be the indominius rex, but not the giganotosaurus, not thegamingbeaver, but shadows, jurassic world dominion ending, but giganotosaurus vs therizinosuaurs, real dinosaurs, not TGB or jurassic world dominion, but spinosaurus, not netflix Jurassic world, the giganotosaurus
DONT FORGET TO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON! COMMENT INDOMINUS REX for a SHOUTOUT!

Honestly the accurate call is actually MORE terrifying. You wouldn't hear it coming you would feel it coming not through it's foot steps but it's call getting more intense and powerful. You wouldn't even understand what it was until it was too late.

To me, the accurate vocalization evokes the "powering up" sound of Godzilla's atomic breath winding up, particularly the low, rumbling, vibrating hums in succession...which is absolutely terrifying to me, because that sound is something I mentally associate with something meant to register as dangerous.

A theory I like within the lore of the franchise is that because the trex was believed to have poor eyesight based on movement. That it's roar was necessary to invoke fear and make their prey flee. That's when the trex would strike because it sees movement.

Yeah dinosaurs never really roar, from what I re searched only mammals are able to make loud noises but not reptiles, they can only make sounds like the crocodile I believe.

What you're missing is these loud booms and strange sounds that seem to shake you through your core. Imagine hearing these booming sounds reverberating through your chest as you see this stealth T-Rex running towards you in almost silence due to its padded feet. It has vision better on par of better than an eagles, is very agile for its size and is larger and more heavily built than what Jurassic Park showed.

Despite this not being the actual roar of the T-Rex, the roar we hear in the 1993 movie and onwards is just absolutely incredible and extremely chilling! I agree that if they would've used the actual roar, it just wouldn't have been the same. Shadows, thank you so much for covering this! Keep up the great work! You're the best! Edit: Can you please do a video about what happened to the remains of the six Apatosaurus's that were killed by the Indominus Rex in the 2015 movie?

Hey Delaina! Thinking about it more, the real sound is quite chilling, but wouldn't have that same "HEART STOPPING" bellow like it does in the movie. But that's just my thoughts :)

I have been lucky enough to hear whale song underwater multiple times. In one instance, our group was geographically close enough to feel the sound vibrating in our bones and lungs (your lungs are giant air pockets underwater). The physical sensation of it--how your brain interprets it--was novel. I would say that the closest thing I have felt to it is during take-off and landing on a trans-pacific flight. Knowing the sound was coming from a humpback whale, the experience was awesome and surreal and beautiful. But if something like this came from a massive predator like a t-rex, this would be a chilling, terrifying and paralyzing experience.

I think the iconic roar and growl in JP or JW saga is make it the legend itself. I think in real life their more to growling or little hissing,they use growling sound like to defense the territory area or their offspring. And maybe they have some unique sound for communication to each other.

I think the actual sound would’ve been louder than what YT videos can depict. Much like when you can hear/feel a plane that flies well above you. When sitting on my couch I can feel my inner ears rumbling, long before I even hear the audible sound of the distant engine of a plane flying above the house. I think the rex would’ve come with its own bass that would’ve caused inner ear discomfort if too close, and when audibly vocalizing maybe it would’ve sounded like a massive crocodile.

something about the t-rex roar in the movies (especially in JP 1) shows a lot of the creature's emotion.....something so primal and lashed out, it shows dominance giving Rexy her own personality that made her a prime icon of the Jurassic Park series

I genuinely feel like that would work as a rex noise for jurassic park if it was more horror induced. Imagine if grant was walking around lost in the jungle on his own and then he just hears that in the distance. slowly getting closer until he was face to face with it.

I think the JP roar is fine for the JP franchise. It's what we've grown up with, and it's hard to imagine how any other vocalization would've impacted us, because you can't really experience it all for the first time again. Also keep in mind that the Tyrannosaurus "rooaars!" quite a lot in Crichton's novel, and so the movie is presenting the book's description in that regard. There's also the animal's poor eyesight, which is why it roars loudly; trying to scare hiding prey to flee in a panick, so that they 'become visible'. Obviously nonsense in terms of accuracy, but it makes sense for the Rex to roar like that if there's a visual issue, and the creature is an inaccurate reconstruction, made in a lab by human scientists, to begin with. I disagree, however, that big animals are frightening when they roar loudly like a lion. You know, when I was a kid, I watched the 1933 King Kong on television, and when the Tyrannosaurus, better known as "The Meat-Eater", showed up, the sounds it made, to me, were terrifying. I think that movie gave the animal a really unique vocal sound that I always thought was kind of perfect. For those who don't know, just look it up on YT, but it's like a serpentine hissing sound that kind of 'snaps' in and out, rising up in pitch, then cutting off, mixed with a feline snarl or something. The Meat-Eater's vocalization also effectively communicates its frustration and anger as it's fighting Kong, as if it's expressing its emotions. As to the vocalization played in the video; I'm sceptical of that. Doesn't really sound like anything to me. When birds are vocal; they are vocal! They're clearly using sound to communicate. There's a purpose to it, and a meaningful intent, when listening to birds' vocalizations, that I don't really get from listening to the admittedly eerie sounds created for Tyrannosaurus. It might be an indication for what it could've sounded like, or it may be absolutely nothing like how the actual animal sounded. Reconstructing vocalizations based on fossils is an interesting scientific sidebranch, but is probably inaccurate at this point. Maybe somewhat like how artists used to shrinkwrap dinosaur skeletons; who's to say that vocal reconstructions are missing some key insights that would drastically alter the way in which said sounds are to be reconstructed (more accurately)? I'm open-minded, however, as to whether or not we could ever find out what extinct animals really sounded like. Remember, in older dinosaur books, they would always claim that there's no way for us to ever know what colors dinosaurs had, which is now outdated and at least partially refuted. So who knows: maybe in the future we will find a reliable way to accurately reconstruct vocalizations of extinct organisms.

i think people learn what sounds to fear by association. im sure if you played that sound for someone with no context whatsoever they would just be confused. however if you played that sound for someone who has been living among dinos for some odd years they would get a thousand yard stare and scramble for a place to hide. im sure the same applies to anything. if you played a recording of a lion to an alien whos never experienced anything like that. they might be puzzled or even laugh finding it silly. i watched a science video where they played a different interpretation of rex sounds but with the same idea. a low rumbling kinda noise. now, hearing that sound and putting the knowledge of whats making it together in my mind i felt emense fear but instead of that jumpscare shock fear like with the roar i felt a suspensful fear. that feeling that death is slowly incroaching upon your position. i think it had the same effect as deaths whistle from the puss n boots movie.

@Mokiefraggle
@Mokiefraggle 3 месяца назад
I feel like that's kind of like saying it's hard to believe mountain lions and cheetahs meow because they're "large" cats (but technically not "big cats"...they're lesser cats, same as your average housecat). Predators don't always have huge, territory-spanning vocalizations, and particularly given the T-Rex's nature as a therapod, it likely has vocal structures far closer to a bird's than to anything (mammalian, most likely) that has the kind of vocal folds to produce a true "roar" like we see in the film. If we look at dinosaurs' modern descendants, we see things like ostriches, cassowaries, and other large, flightless birds on one end, and then we have their cousins in crocodilians. Honestly, I'd expect a Rex to make noises closer to the thick, wet, gurgling sort of rumble a large saltwater crocodile or similar would make, but also possibly those low-frequency booms and rumbles made by large birds. The sort of thing that makes you feel it in your bones, more than hear it.

And then again, nobody REALLY knows how T-Rex would sound like. Scientists could only make a theory about it and try to make their own version based on their studies. But again, there is no 100% guarantee that their studies are actually 100% accurate. But in my opinion, I think personally that T-Rex would sound like a huge crocodile or alligator only a million, if not billion, times louder. Because, when I look at T-Rex I see a giant walking crocodile. But it doesn't mean that my opinion is 100% legit. It's just my theory.
