Austin reminds me of my late husband, of 41 years. We were 15 and 17 when we started seeing each other. He use to say he always spoiled me, so if anything every happened, no man could live up to the way he treated me. He done good, because no one on earth could replace him. Love the new sharing bits and pieces of your life, and keeping the rest between the 2 of you private.

I loved this one. I actually liked this vlog the best. I preferred less and you just chatting a little about what you did verses showing everything. You are young, live outside the lens before everything passes you by. Sharing life is great but you don’t owe the world every moment. This was more than a great balance. Don’t focus on the fact he said no, that was a split second decision when he was taken by surprise. Valentines Day was intense. The big issue was Austin wasn’t ready, he was also living in the real with Allie. Austin cared and had to tell someone he cared for no. Both of you went through a lot in that moment between Allie and Austin’s Valentine’s Day ask. It requires thinking and learning about each other. In a relationship it becomes more about each other and less yourselves. Not easy but beautiful.

I saw Austin’s Vlog first so I felt so horrible for him when I watched Allie’s Valentine Vlog. He literally had no time to process what was happening with all the special gifts he was seeing from Allie; and then to have his thunder stolen when she asked him before he asked her to be Valentines with the special note with boxes she wrote him. Everything in his head and heart in that awkward moment was about Allie discovering all of his week’s of special and thoughtful preparations for HIS Valentine. Not as friends anymore, but for real. Of course he would mark the “no” box in her note when all he had been thinking about was how much she would love all the thoughtful things he got for her that really showed how much he knew her. He was so giddy to see her response and that was the only thing he was thinking about when when he read Allie’s note. We all have things we’d go back and do differently after we had a chance to process things through. I am reminded of a prank Noah did to Austin on Noah’s channel. Noah led Austin to believe that Allie was going to ask him out because Austin was taking too long to ask Allie on a date. In that video you see Austin’s real heart which is old fashion-guys ask girls out and not the other way around. It’s Austin’s old fashion heart I see on that bench telling Allie “It’s not the right time”. Because he knew that later that day “the guy was going to ask the girl”. I feel so horrible for Austin because in that moment he didn’t have time to process what he should do. I’m grateful it all worked out and that these Valentines had an incredible day.

Yes Austin show his love through romance, and sweet gestures, but a romantic guy who doesn't love God is not worth it. Romance shouldn't be a deal breaker, the way he loves God and through that loves you should be what matters.

What a fun vlog. Thank you for sharing with us a little more of the story about the Valentines asking. Even though there was a little bit of drama with being rejected, it really did turn out well!!
