He had a pretty big size advantage of it, even with being blinded. Maybe with enough adrenaline he killed it with his bare hands and escaped the island. I'm just saying it would be a cool twist if he's actually still alive.
In a comic con I went to last year, Wayne Knight was there. I asked him if Nedry’s death in the book was planned to be in the film. Knight said that Steven Spielberg did love the idea, but thought it was too graphic for the rest of film’s tone. The final shot was great, but damn imagine a live action version of Nedry’s death.
They could have technically obscured the whole “tearing out innards” business just like they do the final version but using a bigger dinosaur could have still meant the tone of the scene being way less humorous and Wayne Knight is a comedy actor so we got the dwarf spitter.
Why would you want to see that? In the novel, Nedry's stomach was ripped open. He was found later by Muldoon and compys were ripping his face off. Ewwww...
It would have made it an 18 certificate for sure. I think a horror version of Jurassic Park would have really worked. I read the novel just before I saw the film in 93. As a 13 year old, Nedry's death always stayed with me - word for word.
Yeah Dennis nedry was being eaten by a poison spitter in the Jurassic park the game it’s only on Xbox 360 and pc computer it’s a good game I have it on Xbox 360 and beat it
Pretty cool detail for his body but I still think Nedry's death in the novel is more disturbing than his entrie skeleton in the cancelled Fourth movie.
One scene from the book that is more horryfing is when the compys (little bastards) escape the island and enter a nursery for babies, with the nurse discovering them with the babies in the middle of the night. I shuddered reading that
@@thatnorwegianguy1986 That's one scene I'm glad they NEVER put into the movies. Horrifying and sets the scene for the mood of the book but would have been terribly out of place for the mood of the movie.
@@kennethcole1886 there was a Jurassic park game released in 2011 that tell about events during and after the first movie. Like it starts out literally just a few hours after nedry died and they find his remains. Watch a non commentary play through of it it’s actually pretty good and have great suspense and jump scares
I've seen that concept art before. Its honeslty on par with his death in the novel. Also i didnt noticed at first but you can see bloody fingerprints on the steering wheel.
@@darthbigred22 your forgetting about the raptor that came along fought off the dilophosaurs long enough to eat his spleen while he was still alive and then ran off leaving the dilophosaurs to finish him off
Have you seen that video where they took an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer was supposed to pick Newman up from the zoo and they edited in the scene from Jurassic Park? I loved it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UjQkOBlikR4.html
I mean, it’s been a while since I’ve watched the original movie, but I vaguely recall that the can could only maintain the embryos for a very limited amount of time. As in “hours”, which is why it was important for Nedry to get off the island asap so that the embryos could be moved. So any plot involving that can at this point would be ridiculous as the embryos are long since spoiled/dead.
@@MadMax-yq9ixConsider the size of the container (small) and when it was made (the 1990s) and logically there’s just no way it’d last very long at all.
@@coreyg3658 If DNA was all Ingen’s rival Biosyn needed they would’ve just done their own digs for amber. They wanted viable embryos for a reason. Even then foreign bacteria would make its way into the can pretty fast as it rusted. There’s nothing worthwhile that could be salvaged from it after so many decades.
I mean, in the books Nedry's body gets scavenged by compys after spitter kills him. Now that ingens list confirmed that compys were living in nublar, I assume thats what wouldve happened to his body.
@@Casual_guy1234 In the World continuity the island doesn’t get bombed so the parts of his body that the Dilo didn’t consume likely rotted away while the rest was eaten by scavengers.
In cannon the Ingen clean-up team recovered Nedry's body in 94. So unless the new JP movie takes place then I doubt we'll see his remains. But I'm confident it will show up in JP Survival.
I once read an interview with Wayne Knight, suggesting he could be in a future Jurassic film, saying "It was small dinosaur and a big meal." He was suggesting that his character would wear an eye patch and have one arm, maybe with a hook, like Felix Leiter in the James Bond novels.
I suspect that the original Jurassic Park 2 would've focused on Biosyn coming into Nublar to extract the can and then they would build their own dinosaurs in California. InGen could've gone under, then.
Let's be real He ate that Dilop and moved to New York, changed his name to Newman to avoid all that depth John wouldn't help him with Also in fear Dogson would hunt him down with hitmen for not delivering the embryos
I know in my Robertverse, actors involved in various projects that I've watched or heard of fall under two categories: 1. They're the same character (with various explanations behind them). 2. They're related in some way (siblings, cousins, etc.). Those from Star Wars have a major exception.
@soundbreaker-sk8lh no, that's Michael Lerner. He actually passed last year. I see what you mean, though. This guy is Wayne Knight, aka Newman, from the show "Seinfeld"
Those Dilophosaurus must have a vendetta against whoever holds that can, they have killed Nedry, they almost killed the girl from the telltale game but got spooked by Troodons, and they failed to kill Dodgson in Camp Cretaceous but managed to finish him off in Dominion.
@@justinyu5892 The easy explanation is that's their hunting/nesting territory that they're defending and the can's presence is largely incidental to their attacks.
A reveal of the full size adult dilophosaurus and whatever happened to nedry would have been really good. It's really just a shame that so many good Easter eggs were left behind on Isla Nublar and simply ignored in the following three films.
Glad im not alone. I keep praying for a remake of the original that pulls no punches and is not a family friendly movie and i love the original movie like it was one of my kids.
I'd like to see the next movie in like an r-rated version. More graphic, blood and guts kinda thing. Maybe with flashbacks, like Nerdy's body found and stuff like that.
I was seriously hoping against hope right before "Dominion" came out that we'd get an opening sequence kind of similar in tone to the opener for "Fallen Kingdom," where the camera is moving forward through a jungle at night, we hear a car horn just going and going (like you hear in a car wreck), or maybe see headlights in the distance, and finally when the camera moves into a clearing we see Nedry's Jeep at the top of the waterfall, and text appears on the screen "120 miles west of Costa Rica" there's a slight delay and then more text, "June 13, 1993. 24 hours after disaster" (or something). We hear voices echoing in the jungle in the distance, flashlight beams suddenly appear, pointing in every direction; we cut to a close up of the muddied Jurassic Park logo on the side of the Jeep as a flashlight beam hits it, and someone's like "Over here!" and then a bunch of armed guys come into frame, maybe led by Dodgson. They find Nedry's body, and ultimately find the cryo-can. (You'd never guess that I've thought a LOT about this 😆). GIVE ME THAT GODDAMN SCENE. GIVE ME THAT GODDAMN MOVIE.
Great video of what happened after the events of the first Jurassic Park movie especially Nedry getting killed by the Dilophosaurus and it was terrifying and scary in my opinion. Great points you’ve made on the video and I do agree with your points on the video. Great work and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
Nedry could not see the Dilophosaurus coming, but he could hear its footsteps and feel its hot breath near him. He flailed his arms in a futile attempt to ward off the attack he knew was coming. Then he felt a new pain in his belly, causing him to reach down and discover he was holding his own intestines in his hands. After Nedry toppled over, the Dilophosaurus grabbed him by the head with its jaws and lifted him off the ground, breaking his neck.
I’ve always wondered how all of the workers from the original park discovered the news of what happened, and how they reacted to the tragedy and to suddenly not having jobs anymore. Obviously they had all signed NDAs of some kind and presumably got a handsome severance package, but still…what was that communication like? Imagine getting THAT email from the InGen H.R. department.
Another brilliant video Klayton and I completley agree, this would be extremely cool to see and was a missed oppertunity. Speaking of which, Dominion misses alot of oppertunities that feel almost criminal to miss when making a Jurassic fianle. One of which (that could have been the best scene of the whole film) is the fact that Grant, Sattler and Malcom don't know that Dodgson was behind the whole scheme that caused the downfall of the park, and they never find out throughout the whole film. We could of had a scene of confession were Grady has a gun to Dodgson's head while Mazie is pondering around his office before finding and asking about the Barbosal can. Dodgson could have tried to instruct her to leave it alone knowing it's significance to the original trio before they all begin to question him on the can and then he would tell them that he sent Nedry to turn off the power and extract the embryos all those years ago. Then we could have Grant lash out at him or something for basically scarring his life. It feels like such wasted potential and would definetley have cemented Dodgson as the villan we all wanted and deserved for the finale. But thats just my thoughts. Let me know what you think Klayton, should this scene have been in Dominion?
In the ARG material for Fallen Kingdom it is revealed that Nedry’s body was indeed found by clean up crew in 1994, with additional reference to Jurassic Park:The Game events. Doubt we will see his remains in the movies or a show, but in JP Survival… who knows?
@@warsthemarvel8608 2011 game is already mostly non-canon. Events of the game happened, but they turned out differently. Though I believe Nedry’s remains were still found
What’s strange is that the canister that Nedry had was found, but wasn’t anywhere near his vehicle when the animated series showed Dodgson discovering it.
The vehicle along with Nedry's body were most likely cleared out before the construction of Jurassic World. But it is strange how Dodgson literally stumbled upon it. The can was buried under mud 25 years before it was discovered. And yet, when Dodgson found it, it was just covered by a thin layer of dirt in the middle of a dirt road.
Showing LOVE for my absolute FAVORITE channel period thank you for another great video once again my friend. Can't wait to see what's to cone for this new installment in the Jurassic franchise. Thank you Klayton and have a blessed day everyone
Unfortunately Jurassic Park was ruined by Jurassic world and all previous movies afterwards. The whole concept of the cloned kid the dinosaurs getting loose was absolutely stupid! And quite frankly after his bad as the Jurassic World movies have been they need to take this franchise and let it become extinct just like the dinosaurs did.
The thing is in the Netflix series "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous", Dodgson manages to find the Barbasol can. But he doesn't find Nedra's corpse. But anyway, this is to explain why Dodgson had the can in "Jurassic World: Dominion". So the events of the Telltale game are not canon since the can ends up lost forever. If a film or whatever in the future does end up being made in which it shows someone discovering Nedry's corpse, they can't show the character(s) discovering the Barbasol can.
Yo Klay, great video as always. Ik you were just as upset as we were when we didn't get to see any new JP Survival gameplay at the summer game fest 😂😂😂
The poor little Dilophosaurus ate most of that fat man then had the mother of all tummy aches. While looking for a bottle of Alka-Seltzer tablets, the ailing animal muttered to itself: "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" then starred in a new Alka-Selzer commercial!

The book was more gruesome. Thank you. As a fan of the original thank you!!!!! You rock for this video. Lots of work. Lots of thought. You did humanity a service
That would be cool to discover Nedry’s jeep and corpse only to be chased back into the park. I can then imagine after a long and tiresome escape she then tripped over Muldoon’s SPAS-12 and the game suddenly changed from being hunted to become the hunter.
We do see the can in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 5. Lewis Dodgeson stumbles across it when they're tracking Blue. Its not near the hill, but it's there. He says "Could've used this 25 years ago". Then,a Dilophosaurus comes OUT OF NOWHERE and jumps them. They survive.
Of course, the dilo could fit in the jeep because it was just a cute little babies in the movie. Remember Spielberg himself also said, in behind the scenes, they were just Babies. Also (long read) Spielberg: I want a frilled Dino that spits venom. Actual archeologists: No, that is impossible 201.3 million years in the past Angel: God, there is something wrong with this baby two-legged lizard it is spitting stomach acid. God: I know, so cool, right? I tried venom. But yeah.... Half the angels supervised the babies kept getting blinded. Angel: What kind of cruel creator would do that........ God: What? Just look at how cute the spitty lizards are. "Holds baby dilophasauras in hands. Angel: *mumbles* Next project you do, I want no part in and will hate it and corrupt it. God: OH, by the way, my next 200 million year project will be called the Era of Homos. Angel: 👿
The Cryo can was taken by Nima in the game, right after jurassic Park movie like you said, so it couldn't be found near Nedry's jeep. It was lost at some point in the game (depending on the option you choose). Was later found in the jungle near the Center by Dogson on Camp Cretaceous, and can be seen in Dominion.
I love little videos like this. “ what if this…”, “what happened with that….” Videos exploring the possibilities and theories, true or not, would be amazing!
Using the shaving cream can as a McGuffin would have been awesome. If I could do a JP flick, I would pull a Halloween and do an alternate timeline parallel to the main one. The plot could be some BioSyn guys come to the island a few hours after the first film to get the can. We could even see a few of the unseen elements from the first film like the Mosasaur exhibit and even some dinosaurs we saw in Lost World. Also, I would like to include elements where some people are killed by veggie eaters, not just meat eaters.
This is very interesting I know it would have been cool to have seen Nedry's skeleton found and having that lizard crawl out of his skull gruesome to say the least.
Yeah they really should do a scene where they show his skeleton and you see the Jeep I don't know why they never did that even like a deleted scene and I'm shocked in every Jurassic Park movie they have not had anybody found that canister
This is a great topic to talk about because we don’t see these characters aftermath it would have been so good to see denis neadry and Robert maludown gnarly aftermath.
The was a whole section of the 2011 game that was scrapped because it would have raised the rating (most likely focusing on a victim of the Troodon who doesn’t end up appearing in the finished product). The concept art of Nedry leans into this, and given what we do get especially with the possible deaths it’s the darker edge fans have been wanting.
I think if Owen, Claire, Gray or Zack found the barbasol can, it would've been a nothing burger. It's been 25 years, the embryos would've been destroyed. Like, why even question? Also, didn't Lowery have one on his desk?
they had the perfect opportunity to show us that in camp cretaceous given dodgson actually finds the barbasol can completely at random, but there's absolutely no mention of dennis or his jeep on screen.
Klayton - I love everything you make! Thanks for all you do. To answer your question: I think it would be very interesting to see JP7 tie up some of these loose ends. I’m also very excited for how Jurassic Park Survival will portray Nedry’s circumstance. If it is supposed to give us a “fully realized” Isla Nublar, then surely the player could stumble across his jeep. Maybe we’d get a dilo interaction at that point, too? Given Survival’s current Pegi 16 rating, do you think we’d see a torn up Nedry like some of the concept art?
While seeing the ruins of the old visitor center in JW was a nice touch, they squandered an opportunity to have Zack and Gray end up on an old abandoned service road, follow it for a bit, then stumble across Nedry's Jeep. Upon going up to it, they see signs of a struggle inside, like dried blood on the windshield and torn seats. They open the door, and in a jumpscare similar to JP3, Nedry's skeleton falls limply onto them and they freak out. They later tell Claire and Owen about it, adding to their moment in the truck when they try to hold hands.
Yeah i noticed a few loose strings too. I had always wondered about Nedry's body. And how they found the canister, especially when you see it on Dobson's desk in the Jurassic World Dominion film.
I'd love to hear more about Stephen Spielberg's alternate sequel idea, like if he wrote it as a book or something. Also, since I'm a fan of horror, it would be so fun to have an r-rated Jurassic Park. Maybe a spin-off or side story where the dinosaurs are able to go fully savage on the humans.
THIS WOULDN'T HAVE WORKED. When Dennis first received the cryo-can, he's told the refrigerant would last 72 hours. After that, it would presumably run out, and the embryos inside would die as they thawed out.
😔😇 🦕 🙏🤞🦖 I hope and pray having my fingers crossed that this game will have a good story and that they don't woke it up I mean it takes place in the 1990s for Christ sakes... That we get to see Muldoon and Nedrys mauled or half eaten bodys that this game will be successful to get a sequel but we'll all see when the stimulus is finally released this year or the next... Maybe we might get to see raptor vs dilophosaurus brawl in this game anything is possible we'll just have to be patient and wait... Yet again another great video klayton keep up the hard work great editing skills. 😎👍
As for Ellie, they kill Muldoon as shes leaving the bunker. Basically she would have heard it and ran. That fits with her saying run at Grant and her traumatised state at him mentioning Raptors in JP 3.
His body (or what was left of it) was found in the book. After the storm they were still trying to get control over island. They just the body there because Compys were eating it.
