I'm so sorry to hear how you've been mistreated! Some people assume models have the perfect lives and that just being naturally beautiful is all it takes to be a model but there is SO much that goes into pleasing the person your modeling for. I hope you know that you are beautiful, priceless, and should never feel like just a canvas for someone to decorate ❤
This is dumb. Thats what a model is... a generic beautiful woman with the proportions that the company is looking for. A models job is to help showcase merchandise. Why would a model have any input on anything? Your job is literally to be a canvas lol.
the first point is SO TRUE. everyone else on set gets an opinion BESIDES YOU and you’re the only one in the pictures??!?😭😭 i literally would make friendly suggestions every now and then and they would be like “omg how cute! it talks!”
Im sorry you went through that. Much love to you. Models are humans too and they need to be treated as such. Plus the changing looks restriction is absolutely ridiculous to me i mean come on theyre humans and sometimes want to experiment. Its just stupid what they make models do. ❤
Definitely a tough industry but I think it also depends on your agent and what niche you are in. I am a commercial model and there are a lot less requirements on your body than fashion. I’ve booked print and tv commercials work with brands like Ritz Carlton, Walmart, Kohls and 90% of my clients have been amazing to work with. And even for the agents or clients who said mean things, I learned to have self confidence and just not work with that agent or brand again. But yes, castings stink 😩. Such a waste of drive time
My friend wants to be a model and really wanted to send her this video but she won’t care and will block me. It’s so disappointing how people don’t realize how harsh the modeling agency can be. I’m so sorry you had to go through this
i definitely think certain modeling agencies have a more toxic environment that’s more “traditional” whereas different brands nowadays have been more inclusive showing what their items look like on all body types. but i 100% agree and i apologize that you were mistreated
I'm so sorry you quit because of this. I mean it's the agency's policy and all but yeah they are really strict. Out of topic ish though, Where do you find a modelling agency? I've been thinking of joining one in the future so advice n tips would help!
I absolutely hate that until now some people are still being absolutely ridiculous about modeling I mean how the hell are they treating you like you're not a human I'm sorry but every single successful relationship is based on free communication between both people . AND a size 0 😭 honestly f them cs what the HELLLL IS THAT IM SORRYYY-
No literally I was on a zoom for 3 hours!!!! I did my walk showed them what I look like and they were like alright your in 4 minutes that’s it 😂 that’s why I quit with them 💀
I’ve learned there’s a difference between “You could be a model” and “You should model.” What I mean is that the first comment is a compliment, suggesting that you are, well, attractive. The second comment suggests that you should in fact be apart of the industry, which after this video, you should know isn’t a good thing.
Im just waiting for smn in the comments to say "1MIN OF SILENCE FOR PPL WHO THOUGHT IT WAS REAL"but since its ur opinion we can do nothing abt it love u❤ Edit:Yes i liked my own comment 🤭
I could never be a model cuz A. Not pretty enough 💀 B. My patience level goes 📉 very quickly C. I’m that girl who’s always trying out different hairstyles and makeup and stuff so um… yeah no 😭
The privilege is astounding. Try working as a nurse covered in blood or a firefighter or 3 retail jobs where you get yelled at and insulted all day just so your family can eat. But NUDE nail polish??? The horror!
I mean other people actually work eight hours a day still make less money than you and work under comparably worse conditions and just do their jobs and you complain about how you have to drive and do nothing for an hour in order to work for five minutes. I get that you try to show some downsides of modelling, but those aren't really considerable downsides in my opinion.
This type of content is so useless. How many times did you hear this before you did the exact thing? Models always hate modeling. Everyone hates their job unless they are doing really well at it.
Difference between men and women: When a woman doesn't feel well by 100% at her job, she quits. Men would keep their job, even when they get constantly mistreated and have the worst shifts as long the salary is good. I would be grateful if I only had to drive one hour to my workplace. I would be glad if I get paid for just posing infront of the camera and only have to shut up and style my hair how my boss wants it. Lots of men drive 2 hours to their work place, have a 9 hour long nightshift and drive back home for 2 more hours. More than 90% of men have a job where nobody cares about their opinion because they are just seen as workers, not as humans. Those men have to match with high standards too, not visual ones but performance standards.
