The TRUTH Behind Amanda Staveley Leaving The Club ?
Newcastle United co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi are set to leave the club just three years after the Saudi Arabia-backed takeover.
The husband-and-wife pairing took a 10 per cent share in the club after helping to broker the £305m takeover in 2021, though this has since decreased to just six per cent after more investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Reuben family. The PIF currently owns 80 per cent of the club, with the Reuben family now owning 14 per cent.
Reports suggest that Staveley and Ghodoussi will sell their remaining stake to either the PIF or the Reubens, and the duo will leave the club, ceasing their day-to-day involvement.

Whilst i appreciate everyone will assume this is just clickbait. This has been a talking point for months. Paperwork was filed back in april for the removal of ROFR for staveley. She also lost in court with regards to having a petiton for bankruptcy against her removed. The court upheld the decision for her to pay Viktor Restis £3.4m otherwise she would be ordered to file for bankruptcy. This was secured by the solicitors Francis Wilks and Jones who represented Viktor Restis. Still awaiting the outcome on payment and am of the opinion that this played a part in her and the clubs decision.

That was a brilliant video and so on point. I can’t disagree with a single word of it. Loads of blinded Toon fans will resent a lot of what you said but they’re wrong and misinformed. Hearts rule heads but she had to go… Her business conduct would’ve been a big turn off for the PIF who would have viewed her as a risk. Yes she’s a great salesperson and undoubtedly had a positive impact of this clubs future. But she was a facilitator and will move on to her next project. I wish her all the best but I honestly think the club is better off without her…..

Don’t listen to these comments Karl, I love the editing and background music. Subtitles also beneficial for hearing impaired individuals but maybe not so good for epileptic people. Was worried about the Staveley situation when it was announced she had to go to court.. I wish her the best tho

I definitely think theres more to why shes stepping away rather than 'its a good time'. Its funny how other channels can speculate the above, but when its negetive speculation that its been unforeseen its being attacked. The way its been announced and the fact the club are making 'no comment' means theres more than meets the eye.

While I’m very saddened by the prospect of losing both Merdad and Amanda as the public face of my club I do realise that football at this level is no longer just a sport and a game and it is a business which is expected to be profitable for the shareholders as distasteful as that is to me. Conversely, I’ve never felt as connected to my club as I have done since the takeover and that connectedness has been hugely aided by the face of the couple. Living in Australia as I have done for the past 40 years I do still have a strong connection to my football club and the loss of people like Amanda and murder that emphasise that this is just a business. I hope the club con tinues its upward trajectory. I started actively supporting the club the season following the Fairs cup winso we’ve won nothing in that 50 odd years. I would like to think I’d see some sort of trophy, preferably the premiership rather than a cop before I kick the bucket. #HTL.

it was a messy period with her brokerd deals not always goign as planed. she had to sell stocks to pay off that settlement and its never easy to say goodbye on the board front.

Very interesting summary of what has been going on. I am sure Amanda and Mehrdad’s finances are a lot more complex than any of us realise. Would have been better without the click bait title (at this point you have no idea if she is bankrupt so that is pure speculation) and as for the aweful music that nearly made me switch off and miss an interesting video. You have to remember that Amanda/Mehrdad are not in the same financial situation as PIF or the Rubens. In order to spend capital on infrastructure they need cash injections. Any cash fed into the club (ie the selling of 1 share for millions, which has happened twice) needs to be matched by all owners or by a dilution of their share in the club by the relevant amount. I am guessing Amanda and Mehrdad don’t have the liquid assets to cover this.

But hey am sure they both will be buzzing that another 5ft 7 Goal keeper with a golden glove (Its the defence who got them that) has joined to get lobbed from 20yards out this season. The only real hope for NUFC on both sides is Paul Mitchell. Because if he does a proper root and branch NE football will all benefit.

Regardless of why she’s left the club, why speculate towards her private ongoings without absolute facts. Not clickbaiting mate. Literally spoke about this 3 months ago after seeing paperwork filed on companies house. Obviously got the same backlash for talking about it back then, but things have moved in line with the events I spoke about. Of course it could be something complicit with her health. This is just my opinion in conjunction with recent legal battles.

Told you so about her leaving Lee is what's been said and meant. Not the specific reasoning behind it, then mentioned about how I came to the conclusion 3 months ago and consistently spoke about how I don't know anything for certain and that all I've done is look at legal proceedings, filings of paperwork and timelines. Nothing else. Thanked her several times for the work she's done in being our saviour. 👍
