You sound like the typical Tupac groupie. Tupac's all eyes on me so 10 million copies because of his popularity, controversy, etc. it's so funny that a lot of you squares who never were in the streets get mad at somebody like Mob James who tells the truth that Tupac was not a gangster. But a lot of you younger generation people think just because you have money and could talk loudly that makes you one. I'll tell you what, Tupac met his end trying to go against real gangsters.

About Ice Cube... To say that "No Vaseline" was harder than "Hit Em Up" because 2Pac needed _help,_ is just obviously false. The Outlawz were unknown. Why would Pac need help from "unknown" rappers? You don't think it made more sense that 2Pac was helping the Outlawz, not the other way around? Damn, I got a lot of respect for Cube, but that was a weak ass jab. Second of all, Ice Cube says three things that are completely wrong: 1) He says NWA never made a record after that so he should be credited for killing NWA. But NWA broke up because Dre was having beef with Eazy. It has absolutely nothing to do with "No Vaseline". 2) He says he battled 4 dudes by himself. Ok, here's the problem though: a) Yella is a DJ, so he can't battle anyone. So that makes 3, not 4. b) Dre and Eazy are not on Ice Cube's rhyme level anyway. Dre wasn't on Cube's level and not only was Eazy not on Cube's level, but Eazy had his rhymes written by Cube himself. So in reality, there was actually only *ONE* person in NWA that could see Cube on the mic which was MC Ren. That's it. Whereas 2Pac dissed Biggie, Puffy, Lil Kim, Lil Cease, Junior MAFIA, Mobb Deep and Chino XL. Bruh... there's no comparison. 3. Cube also even mentioned dissing their manager, Jerry Heller. But again, Jerry Heller is not even a rapper. He can't respond to you diss record anyway. So how you gonna feel like you're getting credit for that? C'mon Cube. Stop hating on Pac. It just makes you look bad.
@linusfingesi2222
@linusfingesi2222 Месяц назад
Although to be fair to Cube, Dre, Ren and Eazy did go at him on Ni@@az4life....so he could say they could have responded if they wanted, just that (as you said) Dre and Eazy had already begun to have their issues (with Suge getting in Dre's ear) No Vaseline just brought things to a head. But as far as Diss songs go, No Vaseline is not even close to Hit Em Up! The raw emotions on that song alone pushes that track way above others....I think only Canabus's "2nd KO" and "Mama said Kmock you Out" has that raw emotions (special mention could be Euphoria and Benie Segal's reply to Jada and the Locs diss track to 50 as well)

Cube is tripping. Hit Em Up is better than No Vaseline, IN SPITE the fact that the Outlawz diluted it. Had Tupac done it as a solo song, it would have been even better. But even as it is, it's still better than No Valesline. Tupac didn't need the Outlawz for nothing, so quit trippin'.

Tupac did 2 verses plus freestyling the outro. The Outlawz were on the song because Hit Em Up was a reaction to The Get Money Remix feat. Junior Maffia. For anyone not knowing this, listen first to the Get Money Remix and then to Hit Em Up which was a direct response. Suge even said Faith leaked the instrumental and concept version to Biggie when she was with Tupac. That's why she got dissed too.
@mont-doggBeats
@mont-doggBeats Месяц назад
The original hit em up was done in 95 and the rumor was Faith heard it at some point when she was around pac in the studio and told biggie they were doing a song over the “dont look any further “ sample and biggie and jr mafia did the get money remix over the same sample as a way of being petty/funny prior to hit em up the final version dropping. But Reggie would know if that’s true or not but that’s how us fans heard it

I think Hit ‘Em Up and No Vaseline are both classic songs. For anyone to say that Tupac needed help on Hit ‘Em Up is silly. I think Pac put the Outlawz on the track for two reasons: 1. He was emphasizing the fact that Jr. Mafia wasn’t on his level, therefore he let his little homies deal with them. If I’m not mistaken he even says that before they start spitting. 2. He always gave the Outlawz opportunities to shine, to help further their rap careers. What better way to do that than to put them on a diss track that you believe will be a hit.

They talked about Lil Kim, Lil Cease, Punk Diddy. & I remember seeing snoop getting hype on stage with Pac at House of blues. & then he got a song out dissing Biggie. Wasn't big like Pac but it's out there. & if snoop wanna get that deep 2 of the 4 folks they dissed on Dre Day are deceased. Eazy E & Tim Dogg. & Hit em up, Dre Day & No Vaseline will forever be classic hits that will be played for decades.
