I’m a secondary school teacher. I had a deep connection with a male student who was in care from when he was 11. We were best friends. I cared deeply about him and wanted the very best for him. Today we are still best friends. I’ve witnessed him grow into a wise, kind, smart man who is now close to 30. If you connect with someone of any age it’s a beautiful thing. Nothing perverted about that. Love has no boundaries!
not true.. I had a female teacher from elementary school that I am STILL very close to.. I went to a very prestigious elementary school in San Francisco Pacific heights.. out of 48 girls in my grade I was the ONLY African American.. and outside of myself.. One Latino.. 4 Asians and 1 middle eastern girl.. and needless to say because of their economic stats they were WHITE by extension.. my teacher a biracial woman while I was 10-13 was in her early 20s saw i needed a "friend" who looked like me and filled those shoes.. she has taken me to school.. helped with boy problems when my mom didn't know 😂.. and later on we found out we had been diagnosed with the same illness.. I haven't seen her BUT we definitely stay connected via Facebook and as a 30year old woman now myself I can DEFINITELY call her a friend..

I always see Michael’s mentality as the mentality of everybody as they get older. Especially those that didn’t have a relatively pleasant childhood. But even people who did will always long for that freedom and joy that you experienced as a child. Everybody always wants to go back and forgo responsibility in lieu of just having fun and not worrying about the rest of the world. Not only that, but to have more time with those people who you love who made your childhood so special. I can understand his mindset, especially in the entertainment world where everybody wants something from you and a lot of people just want to be around them specifically because they’re famous. Not realizing, that the entertainer part of them is essentially a role they play in order to make the money they do. In reality, they are no different than any of us, and just want to live a wonderful life. Which, when you have that kind of stardom… It’s very hard to do. You get very limited in outside activities, because everything you do becomes a circus. So you have to understand that he just wanted to live the childhood he never had a chance to do and be around people who wanted to do the same with him, who didn’t see him for the entertainer he was… But for the little kid that was trapped inside of him that never got a chance to come out.
and everybody does have childlike nature and they do go back to just have fun and forget about responsibilities, but all of the sudden people magically forget they do this when Michael Jackson is being discussed average people go on vacations to escape responsibilities, they even go on water slides or zip-lining average people drink alcohol as a socially acceptable way of loosening up and dance and have fun average people sing karaoke to have fun average people got dogs or have their own kids as a socially acceptable way to be able to play tag or other children games lots of adults play video games, RPGs, D&D games, read comics, attend comic con, watch cartoons etc.

being beaten by his father with a belt for every mistake, seeing his less experienced brother being beaten because his father said he wasn't as good as Michael and so he also felt the weight of responsibility, being thrown against the wall and hearing his mother cry telling his father to stop, already having some sort of career at a very young age and seeing or hearing things that a child shouldn't see or hear. And then becoming an adult and remembering the fear, feeling nauseous or faint when you see your father, bursting into tears talking about what he did. Don't compare it to other childhoods, there are worse for sure. But does it seem like a fantastic childhood to you?
