Plz don’t let Quasimoto slip thru your fingers , Madlib is a fn genius musician , Fun Fact: At times Madlib doesn’t like his voice, like he got bored of hearing himself so he came up with the alter ego Quas, Its like getting writers block but with your voice. MFDOOM and Madlib are the illest dou
@@nicotinecruz he also produced One Beer off of MM.. FOOD and ABSOLUTELY off of Born Like This, not to mention that DOOM was also on Quasimoto’s album The Further Adventures of Lord Quas on the track Closer. They also have a ton of outtakes and unreleased material but that’s all really.
@@nicotinecruz yeah and that’s sad cause a Madvillainy 2 was scheduled to come out but, probably due to Egon and people over at Stones Throw, it never happened. The closest we ever got to it was a remix album of Madvillainy, with the rhymes from the OG being put over different Madlib beats.
Off the unseen bad character, microphone mathematics, basic instinct and return of the loop digger are probably my favorite tracks whole album is a trip fromt to back though one of those projects that you end up playing all the somgs and interludes
Quas is madlibs voice sped up. He records on the beat slower and speeds the beat back up to regular tempo. The voice speeds up too, giving it that chipmunk effect. You can also do this reverse by recording on the beat at a faster tempo and slowing it down to regular, giving you that asap rocky low voice. It’s a different sound than formatting or pitch shifting.
"sounds like an mf doom beat" its Madlib who produced most of dooms stuff. A Madlib who also goes by quasimoto for his solo stuff. You could have done one google searh to figure that out.
DOOM produced most of his own beats, madlib had a few tracks here and there, as well as Madvillainy, but metal fingers was a prolific producer in his own right. Highly recommend the special herbs series.
