In our world, there are just too many people too quick to judge, make assumptions, and promote negativity, especially when things dont go our way. If we truly want to unite and celebrate one another's culture, we have to have bigger hearts and more understanding. If we see that things could be done better or if we felt disrespected or mistreated, we should reach out and let the team know , and if the team is unresponsive or show no care, then take it to social media. Going directly to social media and blasting all the negavity will not promote unity or support. We know people gravite to drama n negativity and will dramatize the situation even more eventhough they dont have enough information. The Sabaideefest team did a pretty amazing thing bringing different communities together and giving opportunities for the old countries' artists a chance to come to America to showcase and expand their talent and fanbase. Remember, this is only the 2nd year and imperfections and pot holes are expected. This is a group of normal folks putting a huge event together, and its only their 2nd time, so they will need all of our support, feedback, and encouragement to continue to grow and perfect the event. Instead of focusing on a few disappointments and things that dont go our way, lets show love and appreciation for the many, many great things that the event brings so far . More love will bring more joy to all of us.

Overcharging for entry fee ticket isn’t normal to begin with to come into a fest nothing much in it to enjoy. Nice try. But again wrong answer. Just admit that this fest is garbage.
@minat.4401 I don't know them well but have met them last year and been following their work. Normal people as in people with regular jobs and lives. They are not millionaires, Hollywood experts or business gurus. If you believe you've done more than they have ,then please share what you've done for communities and society. I'm just a regular citizen trying to uplift everyone, every community and society. It's better to remind ourselves to be positive then tearing others down. This approach to life brings more joy and want others to experience it and be blessed as well.

I always do my best to support everyone, for this is what I would want people to do for me. I haven't seen them do anything majorly unethical or wrong. What have they done that is so awful ?
The hate here is unreal. I work in Field operations and logistics .. from an outside perspective SABAIDEEFEST exceeded beyond expectations for their 2nd festival. The negative feedback from this artist, influencers and comments here is disappointing. Obviously he knew what he signed up for but was still unhappy. The festival itself is ran by volunteers who devoted their blood, sweat and tears to make this event happen. People like this doesn’t comprehend the mission behind the event nor can grasp what has been achieved by the SABAIDEEFEST TEAM ..bringing forth UNITY among SE Asians.
If we truly care about unifying, uplifting and supporting one another, we must focus on the positive things and work on the areas that need improvements, by providing constructive feedback and genuine care.
@@nila9067 couldn’t agree with you more. Unfortunately one can only hope people will stop making assumptions. I don’t think most attendees or artists realize the event is run by volunteers. But not only that, most people don’t understand operational logistics and budgeting. I hope the SABAIFEST team continue what they are doing and improve throughout the years to come!

There’s more negatives than positive points on this so call festival then all the Asian minority festivals out there that’s are smaller but they don’t screw people over. Unless we have host and sponsor an event at this caliber, one will not know the actual details. Lots of money is needed to put up events, buy equipment, supplies, food , traveling and expenses for their artists, guests, volunteers, hotels, gas, vehicle rentals etc, etc. It will take 3-5 years to make some profit. To know for sure, I reccomend that we try to put up an event. What we assume, 99% of the time is inaccurate.
If that was really the case? All those artists from last year that was there for this year. They wouldn’t come back again? A lot of people cry about the prices but if they go see some black, white or Mexican artists? The prices is super high. They’ll still pay for it and not complain. This guy here was probably asking for a price that they probably couldn’t afford to give him? I’ve never seen or heard of him before? So he’s making posts, putting it on social media to sabotage something that he thought he deserved to be in?!!
Some people from last year indeee did not come back this and have spoken up against what they experienced like ayebaby for example. Just bc u haven’t heard of him doesn’t mean he’s not well known in a certain circle you’re stuck in ur own bubble. I don’t know ANY OF THESE LAO ARTISTS bc I’m Vietnamese but that doesn’t mean they don’t have influence or fame. The world does not revolve around you, stop gaslighting do something for the community instead of going on the internet dropping hate and assumptions

Like most of us, we are not born with silver spoons in our mouths and just because we don't have a budget doesn't mean we shouldn't make amazing things happen. In order to grow anything or any events and without a big budget, we have to be creative and ask for those with the same hearts that care about uplifting and building communities to help out through volunteering. Once the events are stronger and generatingmoney, folks can and will be compensated. We must start the spark before a full flame can be possible.

@minat.4401 people make a choice and if they want to participate, they should, the Sabaideefest team does not have the power to coerce anyone to help or attend the event. People are smart enough to make their own decisions.
The artists coming from the 3rd world country are just happy to be in America and getting to be on stage. Heard they are paid very little like $500-1000 for the event. Artists make money on cash tips. Now, the domestic artists perspective on experience would be different compared to the artists from SE Asia. It’s understandable domestic artists would expect some compensation but if it’s not a contract, then no pay. Generally, all artists should break even or make money other wise not worth it. Festival should be fun and a good experience for all. Budgets should be set for all expenses. All negative feedbacks should be taken seriously by the team in order to learn and make improvements. Every participant is a potential word of mouth to bring in more ppl for next year. Generosity and care for people over profits is key for first few years. Make it fun and ppl will return.
