absolutely phenomenal preservation of that game, unfortunately did not happen for Dimensions or Skylanders.

its on steam the winter sale they had was selling all three games in a bundle for 18$ ( which i got ) and it gives you access to everything each game is sold at the price of a normal game 60$ i think im not sure but whenever a steam sale goes on for the game it always has a extremely good deal / bundle offer so yea be on the look out for that if youre interested ( ive seen the same sale go on prior to the winter sale so itll probably comeback at a lower price the next sale they do )@@TaeKwonWhoa

yeah, I would have to agree. It's still good to point out, since if they didn't renew the trademark, then we shouldn't get our hopes up for anything in the near future...

​@@theSkylandeer Not necessarily. they would be able to get it back. it would just take longer and therefore cost more money. + it would be giving up an asset that would give the company more value in case they were to get bought up by another company. I personally don't think renewing or not renewing it has much to say on, if we get another game / remaster or not. Most companies just let their patents run renewals forever, even in cases where a franchise has internally or publicly been discontinued.

thanks for all the info, honestly since they only renewed a single patent it's not looking so good for now, and I brought it up because it definitely disproves the leak (as the giants and spyros adventure trademarks were not renewed)

@@theSkylandeer I just realised that there's probably a good chance that they're renewing it because other companies are using the chips you mentioned the patent covers. Just a shot in the dark here, but I could totally imagine a world were nintendo found it to be cheaper to pay Activision than to make their own chips for their Amiibo figures. Just a thought, though I do think it's the tech more than the games they're protecting. I think I've accidentally used patent and trademark interchangeably in my comments. Basics are: Patents are for products. Trademarks are for names, logos and branding. And copyright is for ownership and rights to publish/sell.

I don't think it's impossible that they let us use real figures, but I'd say theres an 80% chance that we have to buy each character digitally to play them

@@theSkylandeer I guess, but the reason why people didn’t like the figures, outside of clutter, was the cost. If they try to bring back Toys To Life like the way it was, they’d slammed by consumers. Just look at Starlink: No one played it, even after they dropped the figures.

very good point. I feel like if there was a remaster of the first two it would just be the first two rosters. Alternatively they could add jumping to the game, but that would require redoing a lot of the levels
