So basically when Jordan brand gave us the space jam back in 2016 they knew not to call it the black Concord cause everyone would not want it so they just let everyone call it by the name customers where familiar that’s pretty dope the actual name is black Concord but not everyone will call it that everyone is gonna stick with that space jam now cause that’s all they know.

excellent video... in numerous videos i watch about concords and spacejams with 45 they don't know the history about the shoe... one person even suggested that the bred 11's that come out next year will have 45 on them.. and i'm like why? MJ was in full 23 mode when those released the playoffs of 96'.

Mark Johnson That marketing threw me off, it was “Monstar Mash” (just looked on the Nike app). “Space Jam” with a 45, whatever it took to get the sale, but those that know the history know what they do have at hand once you take away that marketing.
I was feeling crazy nostalgic when I got the new concordes (95 concorde was the first things I ever bought with my first 2 paychecks at 16 years old) never been so excited about a shoe..the high cut..the box...then I dug up what was left of my OGs...man it killed it..side by side the new ones looked like cheap chinese fakes. The white leather on the 95 was thick as fuck you saw the little suede hairs on the edge of the cut, the patent was thicker also...full grain leather...i miss the old days of Nike. Even though my 95's sole delaminated and came off..you could still see what a superior shoe the originals were!

Just started getting into Jordans and found your videos! This by far was the most helpful with the history of the shoe! Im thinking of getting a pair pf J11 Concords but I got a little wider feet. I’m not a fan of the low cut patent leather versions of the 11, the high cut patent leather shoe is a much better shoe just all around. I also don’t like low top Jordan 11’s, to me they are the equivalent of a V6 Camaro or v6 challenger😂
I doubled up on these and my second pair from Champs just came yesterday. The shoe came with factory creasing on the patent leather and scuffs. The black part on the back where the 45 is looks jacked up and crooked. I'm gonna return them, because for the money I paid there shouldn't be flaws like that. They weren't worn, because it was factory laced still, quality control on these were bad.
Marcos Imperial I’ve ordered several pairs of these because QC has gone downhill for Nike, one pair has definite flaws on the patent leather and will be returned, I have another where the 45 just isn’t well put like the other pairs but may consider having the number swapped to 23 🤷♂️ these will probably become the wear pair. Have another two pairs which seem to look good overall to stock.
@@reup4023 I ended up selling them to my bro, because he wanted the shoes and they're sold out everywhere. He didn't care about the defects it had 🤷🏾♂️ If I didn't already have another pair, I probably would've kept them myself.
QC is bad because Nike understands that no one really wears their sneakers anymore, they are put in plastic containers like baseball cards. Pretty soon sneakers will be graded based on their flaws!
Very well explained, I've tried to give a lil history behind the jordan 11 concord on Facebook. It isn't as easy as people think it is. I loved everything thing about this drop, from the sneaker to the box and wrapping. I know alot of people were disappointed about the box that was the biggest disappointment them. I then educated some people about the box, and how it was the original box for the Concord. I'm sure, like you say there are some differences i just haven't seen the box since the late 90's.

Years ago I remember working for just for feet in Vegas I met the nike rep there for a shoe clinic and this Concord was introduced to the sales people as a prototype and we all went crazy for them! Then they went for $125 plus tx came out to $135 to $140.000 we didn't care we wanted but they had a release date and each store could only get so many pairs! Wasn't too lucky then but Now! I am ready to redo my entire shoe wardrobe.. the elevens were my favorite pairs all series then the 13's also the 7's and 6's wasn't too crazy for 1's but willing to try the 2's low 3's and the 4's look alike to me! Starting all the way back at 1 and go from there! Thank you my man for sharing with us how the number 45 when back to 23 appreciate it. Also I just subscribed to your channel.
