I really liked The Truth; it's somewhere around my 5th book and I felt drawn into the story more than most of the others (though Going Postal is also up there for me).

Love this one - it's really in the golden age of Pratchett. Although weirdly it was my first (and only) false start at the Discworld, I tried it when I was about 10, and had to try again a few years later. (when I loved it). I love all the stuff about media bias. Lies and words. Why do we trust people? (A theme that goes into going postal etc too)

That's so interesting, that it was your false start first time round! I think my first false start was Colour of Magic, and my second false start was Thief of Time (which was randomly the only Pratchett book my family owned). A few years after that is when I finally picked up The Truth from the library. :)

Too many good bit to even list about this one.... But maybe the book that shows Terry life in the press before settling down into righting. Always good to read satire about something some one really has experienced.
