The real deciding factor of this matchup seems to be the reason that’s fueling each of them going into the fight. Whoever has the stronger motivation driving them will overcome whatever they need to. They both have shown their will is undeniable and they can bring any form of deity to its knees. Kratos having a current one dimensional gap in power could easily be overcame if he was running on something powerful enough to motivate him. The conclusion you came to seems plausible but good luck keeping kratos out of hell

I'd like to point out that GOW4 has confirmed that the entire GOWverse actually resides solely on Earth and that all feats are limited to only their Mythologies which indicates that Yggdrasil is only infinite in reference to it's own mytgology as it doesn't span across the whole planet into different mythologies, which isn't the best look for GoW. The size of the planet of GoW isn't unknown in size or infinite because it's literally stated to be Earth, the actual Mount Olympus of GoW lore is a real location in Greece. Santa Monica Studios said they followed the British observation of Mythology for their games. British observed mythology follows the idea that all Mythology coexisted on Earth and existed in different parts of the World. Greece = Greek mythology Scandinavia = Norse mythology which is why it's way bigger in size Egypt = Egyptian Mythology which is why Egyptian Mythology is mainly a desert land. Greek mythology fits the In real life description of Greece Same with norse mythology Same with egyptian mythology Same with Celtic mythology where mimir comes from. Universe in reference to GoW and Mythology is a known hyperbole commonly used to describe their own Mythology. Same way Dimension has a broad meaning, Universe had a broad meaning except not really because it literally just means Mythology. Cory said the galaxies represented different Mythologys, which would imply that yet again, the GOWverse doesn't exist on different universes but rather inside 1 universe. Heavy evidence supports it all exists on Earth, but then they come out and say that it's "like" keywords "like" the galaxies represent different mythologys. Cory also said that "in his mind" it's like having the Hubble Telescope. I say what I say because it has the most amount of completely outstanding evidence to say it takes place all on Earth. Universe is another word for Mythology even by the definition of the word. For them to create entire universes contradicts the proof I will provide that proves GoW only resides on Earth. If you agree that universes in Mythology is just another word for different MYthologys, then that's fine and in agreement of the universe (mythology) being separated by water. Cory uses words like: "like, in my mind, I think, to my knowledge" a lot, which are not concrete statements. Galaxies are clearly aren't universes. You referring to small infinites is literally you proving my point. I understand what you meant but let me explain. You mentioed that there can be an infinite amount of numbers in 1 but it's still smaller than 2. My point is that these spaces of infinity are only infinite in reference to their own Mythology, which is why it doesn't span across other Mythologys. If an infinite space is still smaller than the world and is only limited to its own mythology, then that implies there can be an infinite space of something that can still be smaller. I do believe that there are different DIMENSIONS that reside in different planes which is the whole point of dimensions, like the underworld in greek mythology. I don't think the underworld resides on Earth neither do I think any of the primordial's dimensions exist on Earth. I know they have their own separate realities but none of those realities are bigger than Greek Mythology which is the side of Greece. Same with the 9 realms of Norse Mythology, all of those different realms cannot be bigger in side than Scandinavia. This is the evidence that supports and contradicts the devs statement on the side of GoW The wiki of GoW along with cory's stated this: (This is in reference to GOW4 proving it takes place in scandinavia norway also providing the greek mythology exists in the same place) Wiki of GoW "Predating the vikings, most of the game takes place in ancient scandinavia in the realm of Midgard, which is inhabited by humans and other creatures. It is the same realm in which the Greek world existed." Not how it says the same realm referring to the dimensional plane proving they both exist on the same land. (Earth being mentioned as the location of GoW) Wiki of Gow "However, while homer and his contemporaries believed the sky formed a solid, vaulted dome ("firmament") over the disc-shaped Earth, God of War clearly holds the heavens\universe outside of the Earth to be normal." This is the same piece of firmament Atlas was stated to holdabove Earth. It proves that while different dimensions exist outside of Earth (Again mentions Greece which is the country on Earth, again proving the game takes place in the same place) Wiki of GoW + Cory "After thee games of hunting down the gods of Greece, Kratos was due for change of scenery. After the events of GoW3, creative director of the franchise, Cory Barlog, confirmed that kratos had moved to midgard." (Proof of Kratos sailing to reach Scandinavia) Wiki of GoW "Kratos traveled by boat until the flood started to disperse, (refereing to the flood caused by death of Poseidon) deciding after weeks of sailing to settle down in Midgard. This is where he meets his now deceased wife Faye and fosters a son named Atreus. The game provides many references to other cultures and mythologies, making it seem like the flood physically connected them even further." The weeks of sailing accurately proves the actual size of Earth. Sailing by any boat made in those times would take weeks. Cory Barlog or at least one of the devs also stated that quote "kratos traveled up North until he reached land" Traveling North would seem impossible seeing as how North of Greece is land with only small passages throug but then you REMEMBER that Posiden caused the entirety of Greece and its surroundings areas to flood which is WHY it states "Kratos traveled by boat until the flood dispersed" implying the flood covered the oceans The thing with Kratos is, GOW 1-2-3, betrayal, ascension, chains of olympus were all created by a different director, all of them have different thought proccess when it comes to future plot, which ended up contradicting one another, like with something being "Infinite", when in reality it is only "infinite" to one's realm, it is not true infinity as I already explained in the comment at the top. Cory (game director for GOW 2) had in mind that for GOW 3 they would have Kratos defeat Zeus and all the other Greek Gods at the start of GOW 3, then all the Gods from other pantheons (Japanese, Egyptian, Scandinavian etc) would come in to take over, then have them die to Kratos in a massive fight, that alone would EASILY place Kratos above any version of Kratos by a long shot. And due to all those different directors, there's an unlimited amount of Lore contradictions with no further explanations, one Developer on Twitter (X) is contradicting another developer on X, it's a clown fiesta. Kratos is hard and almost impossible to scale unless you cherry-pick statements and feats, but to each otheir own. And the thing with Kratos and his magic, which is 90% of his arsenal, he can't use it unless he's in his realm, had Kratos and Doom fought on a neutral ground, Kratos wouldn't even be able to use most of his arsenal, as the magic is tightly connected to it's originating realm, as is stated by Kratos in GOW 4 ragnarok and Freya said that the magic is bound to it's land, so the magic went with it. And if it were Kratos from GOW4> whom were to fight, as it was already established, he holds back by a LOT, he Thor literally killed him and stopped his heart, only for the later to rejuvenate him with his electricity. Doom slayer doesn't hold back, he's always at his strongest, if he goes for the kill, which he will. Kratos is a dead man, unless you wanna give him ALL his magic (which should not work) and make him fight at 110% (which he won't and is out-of-character), then sure, Kratos probably could pull out a win due to all those hax he's got. Doom slayer's feats and portrayal is much more concrete, it's a cherry pick battle for Kratos, though. People choose what to believe and what not to, although both of these could be true, depending on what game you would be concentrating, as one contradicts another.
