I believe some women can be stoic, but it is a select few.

For a woman to control her emotions as stoicism requires would mean to almost ignore her biological programming. A few can do it.....not many. Same with stressful situations. It comes down to hormones. Theirs are incredibly different than men.

Yes I believe so and yes I'm a woman. Your mum sounds like an amazing lady. I was a single mum of two children and that was hard enough. I take my hat off to her. My mum was also an amazing lady with high moral standards.

Wow that is so good to hear that you are feeling better daily. Anger can be tricky as it can convince us that we are justified. It’s such a strong emotion. It can be good to listen to it and yourself to find the source. I have found that lack of control makes most of us angry. In the past I’d get so angry because I was a people pleaser, I didn’t realize that this was making me angry. As I gave up my control over doing what I wanted in exchange to please people.

Man here, yes i believe women can be stoic. I have watched my mother have a difficult life since i was a child and not once has she complained, turned away to easy escapism and distractions, she has always taken things as they come to her and doesn’t dwell on anything, nothing interrupts her mission every day and that to me is proof enough.

I'm male no woman can't be stoic the hold a different roll in life it doesn't mean because they pheasicly weak even if their not it's not in their nature from my understanding only

Since the Buddhist way that I follow is similar to stoicism then yes, as a woman, I can follow stoicism. There's plenty of patriarchy to fight in both systems yet the Dharma/true teachings are genderless.

I have been listening to you when I'm feeling unhappy, I've have been through a lot in my 39 years on this earth, but when I listen to your videos it helps bring me to the realization that I can't change things that are not in my control. I can move on and move forward and get on with other more important things in my life.

I'm a guy and women can be stoic but in my experience it looks different. Just less in the space between feelings somehow. Almost as if there is something about feelings can be processed faster by them.
