Hey Justin, how long do you think before you have finished all the tattoos ? You're pretty far along already. I guess that will be a bit like retirement, ha ha. No more pain. The envelope thing is a really good idea. I have done it before for other things. One of the best things I find to do is once you get to a certain amount is to seal the envelope. I know that sounds silly but it works for me.
I got along time to go before I’m all finished up 😅 and That’s actually a great idea aswell!! Sealing it just adds to you being less likely to touch it 👌🏼👌🏼
Man! J! 23,000 💵💵💵 That's a lot of money ! All your tatts haves The Best quality than I ever seen! I has spended around $500 dollars and I almost finish my both sleeves. The difference of prices Is too much, considering than in my country I'll have work 6 months to get the 23K Nop! Definetely I never could get a tattoo. But your tattoos are awesome Man! And The realistic style than your tattoo artist does Is unbelievable. Keep doing It. 😎
@@AstroHexOG Yep you're right I'm learning english Sometimes I have mistakes But I Don't care, if I Don't practice probably never get better. Thanks for your critic. I'll take like constructive. Even while I'm writing to you my cellphone change the words, 'cause I write in spanish, all day, everyday. I'll try to have a better english. Thanks 😎👍
Man I wish I still lived with my parents. 30% of my monthly income goes into housing. There's no shame to admit we need help from our parents sometimes. It's what family is for. In my culture, it's perfectly normal to live with your parents until you get married. I respect the honesty.
My family helps out but at 26 years old man if you ain’t moving out then you should be saving for a house. Maybe I’m just being a hater but that’s my opinion.
I’m the same! I also don’t drink, don’t buy designer brands, and I don’t splash on expensive dinners. My money goes towards the necessities, and good tattoos 🙌🏻☺️
26 and still living at home is the norm now with cost of living...as for the saving, the envelope method is pretty cool...I usually keep a certain amount in savings for legit emergencies and anything over that I’ll put it into tattoos
If anyone's planning on saying anything about him living at home he's Italian and being Italian myself I know that in our culture you stay at home until you get married it's kind of almost looked down upon if you move out before then
My parents would have kicked my white girl ass for staying under their roof, eating their food, using their utilities, and buying tattoos. I don't drink, do drugs, buy designer clothes either but I couldn't afford my tattoos until I could actually afford my tattoos. Meaning... My savings after I paid my own bills. I got a later start but I'm cool with that.
@@kimski1875 dont think our parents just give us money, clothes and all that they feed us yes but everything else is on me and my siblings we choose to work and help out with the bills because we are grown enough to do so
@@knine1341 All I'm saying is it wouldn't have flown with my parents. At all. Not would have I CHOSEN to do that. I made my own way first then started on my tattoos. Different generation different priorities. I chose self sufficient before self indulgent.
Justin, way to hustle man. I really like this video. I don’t see it as flexing at all. I totally get where you’re coming from. I expect my artist to be the best of the best. I pay out the ass for my tattoo artist for the quality that I expect and demand. I’m stoked you have a tattoo session coming up. I’m in the process of finishing my sleeve and I’m lookin forward to my next appt. keep up the videos man!
I respect your honesty, I've watched your vids here and there and I think it's really helpful, and the stories behind your tats are interesting. I don't suscribe to a whole lot of people but you earned it, good luck on your journey.
No shame in living with your parents! I’m 22 and this is my first year out of college. I save about 1k a month and use the extra money I save to work on my half sleeves. Getting a black and grey on my left and color on the right. Great video!
Bro that intro was amazing. It can go for anything in life really. I'm trying to save up $350 in dollars and come to Mexico to do a sleeve with that money.
Takes a special youtuber for me to sub to so many youtubers cap which I come to find on reviews and such. I say that because I've been getting tattoos bits and pieces ALWAYS big but since my mom passed I'm working on a sleeve in dedication to her. Had an artist I paid upfront (a mistake I learned now) 2yrs later bits and pieces later his shop closed can't get ahold of him to get my work finished or some of my money back. So now got a new artist to start over or finish my arm. Just finished a huge piece this past Saturday going back Friday having some more done. Somehow you popped up on my TL I watched a few vids and watching this video I respect your humility. A lot of youtubers glamorize/flex their youtube bucks. I respect your humility a lot and thanks for the tattoo education cause now I know more of how to take care of my tattoos. After this sleeve gonna do a half sleeve on the other arm and touch up my old ones hell I deserve it...I work hard enough for it. Not flexing either I'm a nurse/travel nurse and my patients love a tatted nurse😁
I love ❤ how genuine you are Justin. ✨ Your humbleness is truly touching. Thank you for being so mindful and such great energy too. 🙏 Best to you - Eli
Money in envelopes work. Doesnt matter if it a tenner or a hundred. It soon adds up and in the end you get an amazing piece of art on your body for life! Justin you work hard and should be proud of what you have achieved! Cant wait to see thigh tatt!!!!
Much love and respect to you, my man you’re doing your own thing there’s nothing wrong with still living with your parents. They took care of you when you were a kid I salute you
Before you know it, you’ll have only 2 jobs. Main job - RU-vid, side job - helping your old man out with construction when he needs help. No matter how important anyone is, you should always be able to take care of your family. It’s wild to think that one day, people will be paying you to show them the tattoos they just payed for 😂
Although I'm not interested in tattoos, I think your envelope idea is a very good one for saving money. I find it also helps to buy secondhand clothing from thrift stores. Sometimes you can get great clothing for a very reasonable price.
I think it’s a great idea if you just want to save money for something else it makes you circles and it’s harder to spend a physical bill then pay on my credit and I totally agree for thrift shops and getting clothing you can get a lot of clothing for cheap and still good quality
Hey man i gotta give it to you.You are a great ass RU-vid.you will be big, perfect mindset even helped me with my saving journey.the wrapping every 1000 really helped with cash.Plus what i got sitting in the bank i swear saving is always the way💯great vid
I like how you touch on the topic of frugality. It's all about planning out your finances and working towards a specific goal. You wanna get good work done on you, and if it takes some time to save up, do it. Its worth it.
That is the best financial advice. I have a job with a steady paycheck. Also, I was promoted, and with the promotion it allows me to travel and get per diem. That is extra money besides my paycheck. I opened up an extra bank account that I actually name it "Tattoo Savings". So, everytime I travel and claim that per diem, that money goes straight to my tattoo savings. I'm 41 years old, and I just got my first tattoo on the right calf and shin without touching money from my paycheck. I'm saving for the next. Thanks for all the advices.
Oh my love , you have always been a hard worker . With dedication & being conscious what you spend on has allowed you to get everything you have dreamed of. Keep hustling and keep saving the sky is the limit & you to will keep succeeding . Full body suit here we come bitch!♥️
i definitely take advantage of geo-arbitrage, and got my tattoo in the philippines while i was visiting. i know the tattoo artist and had followed his work for a while so i knew what to expect. Very happy with my tat and only for a quarter of what i would have paid in the US.
I'm with you on saving up - I only pay cash for my tattoos. Set the goal and save by giving up things that are not important. Dropping $5 a day at Starbucks isn't necessary and if you are doing that 5 days a week you save $100 a month or $1200 for a year.
Don't feel bad about living with your parents. I'm thinking about moving back with my mom since she's in her late 70's, and I wouldn't mind saving up some money. Currently trying to find a part time job so I have a bit more "play" money. So, yeah, I'm almost 40 myself and thinking on helping my mom out by moving back and paying her to live with her. So, I feel you with living with family. They should always come first. I have heard of the envelope method, and it is ingenious!!!!!!! I'm going to have to do that at some point.
@@at1the1beginning yeah tattooing is the business in New York some tattoo artist charge 2K an hour, but you get amazing one of a king art work. Love machine tattoo shop
Fair play to you Justin. It's good that you are humble and live frugally. To be honest it's not anyone's business what an adult spends their money on, they can have an opinion on it sure, but it shouldn't really concern them. I'm looking forward to your next tattoo as always.
Respect the hustle man! We all make sacrifices for the things we deem important to us. I'm personally working 3 damn jobs right now to save up for some halfsleeves and shoulder ink as well as supporting my nerd ass hobby of MTG lol
Bro you got all those dope ass tattoos for a pretty good total price. I thought it would be a lot more. I’ve seen some artists start charging like 25k to 50k for just one piece
Cash money saving helps a lot, I withdraw every time I walk past an ATM. Any money in online savings account is easily transferred out. This way when your tattoo comes around you feel like you haven’t paid for it, as you don’t see a big chunk leave your bank at once
It's simple really: earning more (hourly rate or doing hours) and/or shifting your priorities. Some people spend their money on hobbies, cars or their house (I'm the latter). Not everyone likes/wants/needs the same things. I've found that as I'm growing older, I'm less drawn to the latest brand new stuff on the market (I never really was to begin with....). I'm not ashamed to admit that I save money by buying second hand for instance (clothes, cell phone....). Not least because the current economic situation kind of forces my hand aswell. So, like I said: priorities.
I’m a fresh 31 and still live at home with my Mom and not afraid to say it. I did move back home after I got out the military but since I got out I got a half sleeve on my arm. I have an appointment for my had sleeve on my leg and chest piece in February and March (respectively). I have a high interest savings account in a local bank that I put money in so I can also earn interest on it. Since I don’t bank regularly there it’s a lot harder for me to get the money out.
Nice. Nice. I love your honesty and openness in this vid man. You are a real one! I also like that you are in Ontario as well. And you're my age. 🤗 And a raptors fan! We should go ball sometime when I'm in the 6. Or go to a raptors game once things open back up, and are safe. I currently live under my parents as well. There is no shame in that whatsoever. People like to talk shit like we are just free riding, but we bring in our own money and pay for our own shit. And don't cause any trouble/problems, plus help out whenever/wherever we can. As far as I see it, there ain't nothing wrong with that. The more I see people chatting shit about it, the more I realize it is because their parents never wanted them around past 18 😆😆😆😂🤣🤣🤣😂, or in some cases 16--which is quite sad. But that's not everyone's parents! At least not mine, and I assume yours as well. They love us--and we love them, and they know we are trying and putting in solid work! And therefore have no issues with us being at home. Plain and simple. 😎
We are the same age bro and I was done with my body at the age of 22 now im 26 about to be 27 and im retouching all my tattos is alot of money but is always worth it to keep the ink fresh ... I'm lucky to say I'm young and have high quality tattos I was smart about my decisions and thas why I admire you all your tattos are amazing 👏 ...
Stay at home for as long as you can, don’t worry about age, just work hard and save.. when you finally decide to leave you will thankful as money won’t be an issue. Nice tattoos btw 👍
I do live on my own but man sometimes I wish I didn’t. But what I do is no matter the size of my check no matter what I need to buy I take 100 dollars out every single week and I condition myself to kind of forget about the money so I don’t spend it and then in six months I set a reminder about it. And that’s my tattoo money for the year.
Really?? I felt this was alittle choppy but glad to hear otherwise. And I spent all my Canadian on the last tattoo and this was just leftover from a trip
In my area you can donate plasma it’s about 300 bucks a month twice a week for about an hour did that for a few months just to get it the funds started and after had a little cash kinda became a game to make the next 100 and so on. If it’s something you truly want you’ll find away. Good video as always
Its weird how uncomfy people gets when you say “i live with my parents” but here in India its common. I live in a Joint family.. so we are 10 members . So ya nothing to laugh about. Its all about culture and so on. Love your tattoos and appreciate the tips thanks. I started saving up for tattoos and gave up my Fragrance hobby. I have more then enough perfumes now. Also i love video gaming so i do my best to save for both Video games and tattoos. Just a suggestion please DONT do face tattoo bro hehe!
Yeah you get charged a lot even though it is how it is I’m not afraid to say it I’ve been doing my best to save up as much as possible while I have this opportunity will still also being able to spend a little bit on things I like but anybody that wants to put me down because I do live with my parents f them. And don’t worry north face tattoos
@@justinkd as you said in video about the Czech Republic prices, we are country next to Czech and the prices are much different also, in some places you could buy 2 bedroom flat for the 23k, funny how across the world the world the money is so much different in how much it's worth
Hey, Love your content and your tattoos!!! Been binge watching your videos for the last few days!!! I'm getting my first tattoo in 2 weeks!!! I still live with my dad, so no shame, even though I'm responsible for groceries and little stuff he or I might need!!! One way I save for tattoos is I have a cigar box from my job(cashier in the gift shop at a casino), and any tips I might get I put into that box no matter of it's change or dollars and then whatever I have left from my last check when I get paid goes into that box. Luckily the tattoo I'm getting first isn't all that expensive but it did take saving!!!!
I use the envelope method. In August I Made an appointment for February next year and every month as soon as I get paid I immediatly put a couple hundred in an envelope 💪
I’m also 26 I’ve been very lucky to have an amazing father, him and my mom split up when I was young and he still helps us regardless. He paid our rent for a long time even though he had absolutely no obligation to. Fast forward, he bought a 3story apartment building and let me, my mother, and my girlfriend move in rent free, in return I do basic maintenance, landscaping, minor repairs, snow removal etc and of course I also pay for oil to heat the house, my car insurance, my mothers car insurance, food for the house, internet, etc
Until your mom decides to kick your ass out of her (the) house to grow up and live your own life lol. I'm not saying it's bad, but it can't be all fun and games all of the time.
thats what i mean people laugh for nothing im 27 and i live with mum and grandma in uk so its not bad thin to live with perents its better with them then seperate becasue when u on ur own its much expencive
Ppl are always surprised how much more money they’d have if they just reevaluate where there money is going. You can go clubbing and eat out after you get that awesome sleeve lol just gotta be patient and make a few sacrifices first
Do you prefer the more traditional kind of tattoo healing like ex; taking off wrap first day and letting it breathe/washing and applying lotion or saniderm
I live in Mexico city, and the minimum wage is 1 USD per hour, aprox. 8 bucks per day (hard to believe, I know) and a good tattoo studio will charge around 500 usd per session (or day)… so one would have to spend around the equivalent of 60 days of minimum wage to get a decent tattoo session in…. It doesn’t level up in Latin America countries 😞
Sounds good but I have a question: Wouldn't it be counterproductive to save the cash when inflation is constantly lowering its value? I personally would look into saving it in some way where it makes me interest but I'm not sure if that's realistic for this sum of money.
Hopefully my leg sleeves are done in 10 years by the time I'm 40. But you never know, Mabey it will happen sooner✌ nothing wrong with living with parents, times are tuff, do you.
