He used the vest since the shield until 2020 before turning heel which was 7 long years of the same gear. Think about it. His promos were like listening to an annoying music box. And he main evented many wrestlemanias in a row. How do you expect us to like him? But look at him now. He's the biggest heel in the company. His promos are like a boss talking to you and you need to show respect. He's the tribal chief we all wanted. Now get a life. That's the reason we hated his face character

The biggest problem people had with Roman Reigns before he returned in 2020 was that his character as a babyface was forced and had little to no development. It wasn't until he came back in 2019 that things slowly started to change. People simply couldn't get behind the character. Which is why his Head of the Table gimmick was such a breath of fresh air, not just for him, but the fans as well. All in all, yes, there was legitimate reasoning behind fans' hatred towards Roman Reigns.

I always liked Roman since I was little. I remember watching him debut and thinking he was so awesome so I wouldn't say I'm day 1 for him but I have liked him for a very long time
