I'm a 6m pregnant pharmacist and realised that as an imigrant I'm in a very similar situation. The only difference is that my husband incomes are very high and I have comfort to stay with the baby as long as needed. Maybe a bit longer than maternity leave. However, I have to quit my job to do that. Do you think it'a a good idea? Taking some break and locuming ocassionally (probably weekends)?
Hi Jeanne! Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!🥳 . It depends on whether you want to keep your job or not. If you really dont care for the job so much then thats definitely an option. Stay a bit longer with the baby. But i’ll have to say that once you’ve gotten comfortable staying at home with the baby, it’ll be a bit difficult to return to work unless you really need the money. Then your professional license may be at risk. I also personally think its great for the baby to go out and interact with other people as it can improve their development and you also get a break from being “mum” all the time. Think about what will work best for you. All the best!
