Another reason why its kinda a strategy game is the fact that every time you switch characters you have to change you playstyle up accordingly. Like with genos your more spammy and ranged, and with garou your up close throwing hands.

TSB is NOT a strategy game, it falls into one genre and one genre only which is "fighting". Dont get playstyle and strategy mixed up, people have different playstyles and characters have different playstyles sure. But a "strategy" is less versatile than simply "playstyle" playstyle is different for everyone excluding the set "best combos" everyone is using. Wherease strategy is a form of set path/way into success that people came up with when brainstorming for various ways to beat the goal with little to no mistake when done properly. So i understand why TDS people are mad, since in no world TSB is considered a strategy game. Cuz if it is then other fighting games like tekken n Super smash bros would also be considered a strategy game. So yeah thats roblox's vault for somehow assuming that tsb is a startegy game

Look, I love TSB as much as the next guy but it fundamentally isn't a strategy game so I have no clue why it's in the strategy category. What it is however, is a fighting game. A completely different genre. Just because it has strategy dosen't make it a completely strategy oriented game, it's a fighting game at heart. It's like putting Guts and Blackpowder, a PVE zombie game into the fighting game category- Oh wait they did that too. I'm gonna be honest, the argument you presented for TSB being a strategy game would therefore make all other fighting games strategy games as you need to think to properly get the mechanics for games down. The ability to properly get mechanics down for a game is required for the fighting genre cause you realistically cant just run in mindlessly. Just my thoughts though
