Great footage. It’s a shame Canada has got rid of all its electrified railroads.

Glad I got the electrics. BC rail Part 4 premieres at the end of this week

Had these GM 6 locomotives been kept in service right now British Columbia Rail would have piggyback on Amtrak and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority ACS-64 orders to replace them if the electric supports were to stay to now. Other Option is piggyback on New Jersey Transit and Montreal EXO commuter rail ALP-45DP would have permitted a single engine to run Tumbler Ridge Vancouver

@@andrewsurgenor1294 ACS-64 & ALP-45DP are seen in the northeastern United States that's where most of the electrified overhead wire tracks are

Nice! Although captions would have been nice... I know they're running diesels on the Tumbler and the electrics are long gone - but is the catenary still up?

Fair call on captions, my newer uploads do have captions. I am unsure if the Overhead is still in place.

@@andrewsurgenor1294 Answering my own question: Catenary is gone. Support poles appear to still be up in Tacheeda.

@@andrewsurgenor1294 i was just up there with rock scaling crew last week. Id say 75% of poles are still up, no wires tho

Interesting, makes sense to take the wire down as they would either come down in bad weather or get stolen. Thanks for the update.

Can anyone tell me why exactly they decided to discontinue the use of electrics?
