Ron Dante is totally selling this song and singlehandedly keeping the Turtles going. Ron's humility is making this work. God bless Mark. He's hanging in there.
Back in early 90's when I lived in L.A., he was one of the coaches in Del Rey Little League, very nice guy. His hair was darker then, so was mine. One of the Turtle albums was hanging up in a restaurant in town.
saw flo & eddie waaaay back in 1973 at cincinnati gardens.....they were the opening act for alice cooper billion dollar babies concert......loved the turtles
Thank you for posting. Ron Dante’s ongoing musical talents and abilities-consistent through 6 decades!-are legend. But seeing Mark Volman is all the feels…His attitude with his disease has been incredible, and it’s great to see him onstage.❤👏👍🙏
There I was working with an engineering crew on the DEW Line when the Turtles came to Anchorage back in 67 or 68. They of course were just getting started as a group back then. WOW, how the world has moved at warp speed since then.....🤩
@@philippekarczewski6407 But he never offered to die on a cross to save the world from their sins. Only Jesus Christ did that for the sins of all the world.
Saw them Along with Grass Roots, Byrds, Herman’s Hermits & Mark Lindsey 60’s SuperFest Mid 1980’s Cleveland Nautica Stage Still have the album & booklette that was sold after this Fantastic outdoor concert. CB
my favorite turtles song if theyre not in the rock and roll hall of fame they should be a lot of hits in a short period of time and im 40 big fan of their music so is my buddy dimitrious
Nobody does man, including myself. Howard has been sick for years and mark is going through Dewey’s dementia. Ron Dante who sings sugar sugar filled the shows for Howard. No one will be as good as the original turtles hit hearing the music in a concert setting is great and and good way to try and keep the music alive
@@benedettogee Howard Kaylan has effectively back problems since a while. It must be hard for him to be unable to accompany his old friend& partner and, that is surely is, his last laps of the track for Mark. My dad has that disease and unfortunately, there is no way back, no remedy.
@benedettogee I supported the music plenty in my time. I was going to Flo & Eddie shows in the 70's. However, IMO, I have no obligation to continue to support what, in my view, is an inferior product
I saw them live about 10 years ago. They were still very good. Sorry to see what has happened to Mark. He was always the clown of the group, and Howard is not in good health. Time catches up with us all. but the Turtles in their time were fantastic and I'll concentrate on that and remember, and smile.@@w.llawrence86
Good music, bad video, bad sound. RU-vid should be ashamed of themselves and in court for copyright infringement. (and the "photographer") Is it worth losing your house or everything you own for a few minutes of video? Its called bootleg.
That’s Ron Dante, lead singer of the Archie’s sugar sugar. I wouldn’t call him a want to be. He’s had his own success in life. The lead singer of the turtles has been sick, mark volman has Dewey’s dementia. People paying money for these groups are supporting whoever is left. I’m 2023 we’re at tue bottom of the barrel for 60s music and doowop. Do you suggest everyone stop singing and kill 2 genres of rock n roll??
@@benedettogee Thanks. I had no idea. I hope he is doing ok. He gave my friend and I a ride when we were hitchhiking in Kings Canyon State Park back in 1971 or 72. Real nice guy, intelligent and funny as hell. He was with the Mothers then. Thanks again and Best Wishes to Howard!
