Went to a cudi show literally this week. Whole place was sold out (60k+) and aside from a few regional support acts Cudi was the only artist, doing a 2 hour set of both his new songs and greatest hits. There was 1 person throwing something on stage but out of good intentions, and once Cudi politely adressed it nothing else happened. His performance was great and the vibe was wholesome all the way through. He won't fall of anytime soon, not if it's up to his fans at least

I remember one night I was on a long road trip by myself in the middle of the night and 'Soundtrack 2 my Life' came on. At the time I was going through a lot and I really wasn't expressing it to my friends and family because I didn't want them to see me as weak or emotional. I just never knew how to go about those conversations. I just kept it all bottled up for so long. And as that song was playing and I was reflecting on my own struggles...the line "I've got some issues that nobody can see and all of these emotions come pouring out of me" played....I cracked and silently cried while coming to the realization that I'm only hurting myself by trying to keep it all to myself and at that moment I realized that I wasn't the only person that felt like this. I opened up more to the people that cared about me and life got better....and I never would have came to that realization if it wasn't for Kid Cudi. He has helped many people and I'm sure he will continue to do so in whatever he choses to do in life.

When I was in the military, I was in a dark place out on deployment; one of my friends had just passed and I was far away from home. I listened to Kid Cudi's tracks on repeat to help me get through that period and finally back home. People who've never been depressed and in a dark place in their lives could never understand what Kid Cudi knew and what his music meant for those that were. Being completely honest, Kid Cudi completely changed my perspective on Music and I genuinely respect the guy for being able to do that with his music. Before my friend made me listen to the first "Man on the Moon" album by Kid Cudi, I had no respect or interest in Hip Hop music, and after having listened to that album and exploring the genre a lot more, Hip Hop is now one of my favorite genres of music. However it went even further than that, Kid Cudi's music not only opened my perspective on music to Hip Hop, but it also taught me to just be more open minded about many different kind of music that I had previously avoided or ignored. Kid Cudi's music literally made me a more open minded person. I definitely respect Kid Cudi and his music, because without it, there's a whole lot of music that I would have never been open minded enough to enjoy if I wasn't introduced to him beforehand. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he has all of the success in the world that he so very much deserves.

Never was a fan of Cudi, and the early to mid 2010s where very rough for his career, but I can’t deny that the first two man on the moon albums are incredibly influential and he had an amazing comeback over the last few years. I think acting will be a great change for him if that’s what he decides to do. He’s a very likable personality and he definitely deserves respect in the hip hop community

As a fan of Cudi since I guess high school I can say I’m glad he’s starting to pursue other ventures. I don’t think he’s going out sad I actually believe he’s doing what other creatives do and just striving for more for himself. Mans has been acting for a few odd years now beyond entergalatic, and some A24 films he’s very passionate in his shit. I’m a Cudi stan. Kanye has become a caricature of himself; and I believe he truly despises people who remain authentic. Kanye always brags about change, and he's right; he has changed. Just not for the better. Kid Cudi, is an Artist who did make me genuinely feel better about life. His music was relatable at the perfect time. And it still is. He's also become quite the actor. And any career in writing makes sense for him. He's a man who's been through a lot, and has never let it truly beat him. He's been down, like many of us. And. Deep in it, like some of us. But he knows. He went to rehab. And is trying to focus on his mental well-being. I believe distancing from music, although sad, is probably beneficial.
