Despite some turmoil behind the production of this episode [George Clayton Johnson's original script was rejected in favor of a rewritten version by Richard DeRoy; Johnson then insisted his name be removed from the credits, and was identified as only as "Johnson Smith"], Herrmann's score {his last for the series} is quite beautiful, especially the climax at 9:26, when Sam Forstmann's spirit tells him "it's time to go", yet Sam insists he's STAYING...

Herrmann wrote LITTLE GIRL LOST at least 1 season later, and the director was so impressed with the score he insisted that Herrmann’s screen credit be placed “up front”, meaning at their beginning of the show along with the writer and director!
