Jedi have a history of not being bound by the culture and prejudices of their own species, so that traditionally "evil" species such as Hutts and Trandosians could have moral Jedi members that rejected the brutally of their own species. But in this case Cerean society may have already had a lot in common with the Jedi attitudes of the late Republic era. And in Mundi's case they simply reinforced each other. The average Human, Wookie or Twlek has a different philosophy to the Jedi Order, so they still had some compassion and it could affect their Jedi upbringing. And species with traditionally completely different nature to the Jedi could substitute the Jedi teachings for their own (sometimes) twisted ethics. But with Cereans they just doubled down on their own detachment and hidebound nature as they were already like the Jedi Order, so they got a double shot of nurture and nature.
So Mundi wasn't the only asshole, the species as a whole can be massive jerks. I know there's the whole thing about being set in you're own ways and that's fine that's you're choice as an individual with free will, but when you force it on others like the older Cereans did to the younger ones then you've crossed a line.
You could say that for any form of dogma be it traditional or contemporary. Nobody wants an outsider forcing their beliefs on them, especially when that person thinks they are so pious/righteous/correct etc.

I believe that Mundi was just a sociopath even compared to his fellow member species, especially when his position in his homeworld was threaten he immediately behead the growing rebel movement in the younger generation, and he probably did it with a smug smile while using his Force Powers, really am thankful that the Galactic Marines gunned down this totally self-center cone head.
If the Cerean society had evolved and progressed, it could have really helped them - ignoring the imminent rise of the Empire. In a alternate timeline where Mundi got killed beforehand and Palpatine failed, the Cereans might have gone on to have some remarkable changes. [Say Mundi died instead of Qui-Gon back on Naboo.] Imagined if they adopted IVF technology? Considering industrial scale cloning existed, it could have a profound affect on them.
Fans of both Star Wars and anime harem genre upon hearing about the Cerean society allowed polygamy: I like this society. The same fans earlier when they heard about how much awful the Cerean society is a moment later: Let's destroy this society!

Been Googling, no answer; was it that Cerean males had a similar life expectancy to Humans and the females lived much longer? (in which case a Cerean female could be formidable if she trained her mental skills over her long lifespan) Or was it that Cerean females lived to about the same age as Humans, and the males had a shorter lifespan than the Human norm? In which case Mundi deserves some respect for being able to make Master and be on the Council while maybe being younger than Kenobi?
I at least don't remember any comparison between Cerean and Human lifespan made in-universe. But this is how their average lifespan is divided, according to the Ultimate Alien Anthology: Child: 1-10 years Young adult: 11-15 years Adult: 16-35 years Middle age: 36-53 years Old: 54-64 years Venerable: 65+ years Also, Cereans were a sexually dimorphic species, with male Cereans aging more rapidly than their female counterparts. And males were outnumbered by females due to a skewed birth rate ratio of 20 females to every 1 male. Mundi was never Grand Master, though. Yoda had been the only Grand Master for centuries until the Order's collapse. And he was born in 92 BBY in Legends, making him 73 when he was killed during Order 66. Although, his age in the current Canon is unknown.

I think that kissing Monday was a stuck up prick because not only of his cultural hangups, but also because of what the Jedi order instilled in him as a younglimg remember their taught your tablet from pretty much as an infant that you can’t go and have a wife can’t have kids. He can’t have any kind of emotional relationship because you’re not supposed to have emotions, you can’t kill emotions in and of the species even any kind of species because all emotional creatures you can control your emotions to a degree. I’ve learned to control mine to an extent, but we are still emotional creatures in that emotion comes out one way or another and if you bottle those emotions up for too long, it can be intense and it can’t get violent, so best look for a more balanced approach
Ki-Adi-Mundi… a name clearly inspired by the animal, the coatimundi (i.e., the coati). I wonder if someone was just lost for inspiration regarding new aliens or characters and saw a coati and got an idea. 😂 Even the pointed heads of the Cerean species are somewhat reminiscent of the pointed snouts of the coati. In a way, even the name of the race, Cerean, is vaguely similar to _Procyon_ (which is the raccoon genus, but still related to coatis in the Procyonidae). I know, it’s a stretch, but I’m just saying. 😆
Thought the extra bulge on the head was a second heart, not a brain. At least thats was legends always said. And I don't condone it, but if they wanted more men, either dont give birth to girls, or have the kaminoins look at the male DNA and tweak it so they give birth to males only for a couple generations. Or, and I dont take it lightly, copy the genetic code of all the males and like a 1/4 of the females, then wipe out the entire species. Give the DNA to kamino, and have they tweak the DNA so every other like 20 babys are female. At least for a few generations. Otherwise it would be the same problem, but different gender roles.
