The Twin Towers of Raila, the Meadows of Shangarh & a Secret Waterfall | Sainj Valley

Keeping Deohari as our base, we head across the valley and up the opposite mountain to the village of Raila and the Twin Towers of Dhaliara Kothi. These magnificent structures tower over the landscape and really make you think about what life was like hundreds of years ago.
Driving further into valley, we move towards the most iconic place in all of Sainj - the rolling meadows of Shangarh and the grand Shangchul Mahadev Temple. We end our trip at a secret waterfall - a favourite spot of the locals.
Not many home-stays are functioning at the moment, but we found a really warm and extremely friendly family to stay with. You can check out their website - deoharivalleyhomestay.com

just remember a photo or a video can never come close to actual personal experience of being there.. i experienced the same when I visited ReckongPeo, Kinnaur and when I returned home with photos and videos, they didn't seem to give the same vibe that I experienced over there

People who migrated from villages of Uttarakhand and permanently settled outside is one of the major reason Garhwalis and kumaonis are forgetting their roots , culture , history. No offense but you are one of them. I am sure you don't have idea about culture and diversity prevalent in Uttarakhand. Forget about diversity, you won't have any idea of geography , terrain of the state. I was born and brought up in Delhi. I didn't have much idea of such things either, but now I know much more about such things than average native of Uttarakhand.

you people are reaching everywhere man!!!.one thing i must say , i am into trekking for over a decade and i'm associated with some trekking communities in Europe...and everyone is liking your(& India in motion) artwork (i can't find anything better to address your videos). Mostly the Soul trails trip. They often criticize us because indians are mad about bike and car trips to the mountains and that's it..
