First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in April 1977, this gripping futuristic whodunit is set five years into the future. The narrative unfolds around police officers DI Simmonds (Douglas Blackwell) and Sgt Colt (Peter Wickham) as they investigate the body of Mrs. Francis found in her husband's stolen Rolls-Royce. The case takes a perplexing turn when it’s revealed that the location where the car was stolen doesn't yet exist. With the body disappearing and clues no longer making sense, the mystery deepens. The radio play features characters like Paul Holden/Doctor (Gavin Campbell), Alan (Alaric Cotter), and Helen (Christine Absalom), and was produced by Margaret Etall.
