I have never had any money for the last straw and I had to go back to the knowledge manual "to study and show yourself approval." I was working on Three jobs, I didn't know it would be a good two years before I knew anything about the life outside of All work, and No sleep or play! I was just saving up two dollars bill's and I got so many I bought a Big photo album and I just put the money in like pictures and the funds ran out of spaces for the book. I was thinking about the 5$ a week allowance for my dollar a day I thought I would get the 2$bill 1or two per week to get the rest of my lunch time, and the funds ❤️ paid for the last Year payments for the rent. I had 3 babies and a not reg working husband 😅❤ thank you Jesus Christ

Sad story but great story as it relates to the importance of the $2 bill. In making this film, I met so many people who came upon a $2 bill of their own in a memorable way, and cherished it the way you did. It has that effect, and I hope that point got communicated in my movie. Thanks for sharing.

The last red seal (U.S. Note) currency consisted of Series 1966 Five Dollar and One Hundred Dollar notes. Since that time all have been (green seal) Federal Reserve Notes, which had been introduced with Series 1914.

@@-oiiio-3993 Sacagawea 'golden' dollar has been since 2000. Lots of production for with (some of them for) general circulation stated of the presidents series started in 2007. Though the golden dollars are dated as early as 2000.

@@takecare5077 Quite correct. An oversight / error on my part. Sacajawea Dollars were introduced in 2000 with a Cheerios Promotion and distribution through Post Offices, in 2007 the Sac became 'Native American Dollars' with an annual change of reverse.

Those aren't easy to find! When businesses take paw-stamped bills to the bank, they end up in line for destruction. They rarely give them back to customers. Of course, with your own stamp pad and Clemson paw stamp, you can make your own.

It's a $2 bill channel, but I have branched into other currencies on occasion. I will consider doing something about the $1 soon.

They were actually among the last of 'U.S. Notes' as United States Notes, which were direct descendants of the original Series 1862 'Legal Tender Notes', were last issued in 1966 with 'red seal' Series 1963A $2, Series 1966 $5 and $100. All U.S. currency since has been in the form of Federal Reserve Notes, first issued as Series 1914.

That's awesome. Star notes have a little more value, and if you have a string of them with consecutive serial numbers, that may be very attractive to some collectors. You may be able to flip that stack of sequential star notes for twice as much on eBay. I definitely would try to profit from that before spending too many.

No, it's a space museum somewhere in Chicago. I forget the exact name and location, but it was shot there because of its close proximity to where Mr. Jurek lives. I think you can see the name of the place when he first walks in. I'd have to look it up otherwise.

No idea. They should be out there by now. It may take some time for them to start getting circulated. They go to the banks first, then they have to get into consumer's hands. Could be a little while before they get around much.

Casey was supposed to be in the film. He agreed to an interview, but the timing never worked for us to get together on the 2 occasions I was in New York shooting. Hopefully he's seen the film.

@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary i see $2 bills about 2-3 times a month in circulation here, not super often but as the documentary explained, not many people spend $2 bills they usually just hold on to them for either sentimental value or because they're seen as rare/discontinued to most people

Right, but Hornady gives them out with instructions to spend them. I guess people still decide to keep a few for themselves!

Uh, yeah, just count it! This happens far more often than it should for a regular piece of currency.

Is it packed because it's giving those coins, or packed because people need to get their laundry done? Regardless of which cash register slot a vendor uses, just giving them out as change is important. And people who are aware of the $2 should just start using them more.

@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary It's just a good laundromat near many low-income type neighborhoods. Does the dollar coin thing help? I think so. It's also right next to two casinos, a starbucks, and a popular west-mex fast food restaurant.
