The fact that she took 2 hours just to blow dry her hair says a lot about the care she takes when dealing with people’s hair. I need a stylist like her! Love the end result her hair is soooooo full and amazing !
@@checkmattee222 I have to stick to my once a week wash day. I think my hair would be so unforgiving. I can sometimes push it out to 10 days. During the week I do not have to add more product to my hair.
You wouldn't believe how long it has been since I last washed my hair due to a combination of depression and homelessness but people never stop complimenting it. I just need to brush it out a few times a week, do a search and destroy trim (might take an entire day) every month or two and keep it in two braids or a bun in between. No products besides coconut oil, no tools, no gadgets. imgur.com/OYF0t77
I’m white, have hair at my chest, it’s straight-ish, but I love watching these types of videos!!!! Black women have the most beautiful freaking hair omg 😭🥰😍
I'm Mexican, my hair used to come to my knees so I learned alot on how to care for my hair type. But watching her tend and cater to black hair is so amazing! The textures and variety of styles that can be done is Truly Beautiful to me💜. That's why I've been watching her for about 2 yrs now😁 And I totally agree with you they do have some of the most GORGEOUS hair I've Ever seen!
Yeah, thanks for ur honesty..most times we blacks have really long hair but you can't tell because of it's curling texture..a curling hair can look below shoulder length but when u stretch it it's like boom waist length😄
This has to be the most beautiful hair I've ever seen, nothing compares to it. Also it's soo well taken care of, not dry or frizzy at all even when it was not straightened yet. This young lady really as the hair things all figured out.
My hair Is just like the girl in the video it takes so long to brush and wash I was at the Solon it almost takes the whole day to straighten my hair at the salon but it's worth it and it's alot of money too since I got alot of hair but yeah have a good day 😘😘😊😁
Girllll it can be a headache. My hair is about the same length as hers or maybe a half inch shorter. Same texture too. I wear it in its natural state, but trust me when I tell you, it's a handful to maintain. It's beautiful mind you, but plenty work. Many times my hubby and kids had to talk me out of cutting it. I'm still considering cutting it. At least to half the length. She washes her hair once a month, I understand why. I wash mine once a week, and let me tell you THAT is a task!! I hardly wear my hair out because it can tangle easy. I normally put it in a high or low bun, or ponytail. Having long curly hair is pretty, but ohhh the work it takes to maintain it. I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. Love the look, but hate the work. 😁😁
@@TheHardestPill They're saying she probably wears it curly regularly, but straightened her hair on this single occasion to "play around with different styles".
Respect! I cannot fathom the hard work you put into this young lady’s hair! God bless you! Hopefully you get a massage after working so hard...that’s a beating on your body! But the result was spectacular!
@@everyroseenterprises2226 She's just playing. Only way your scalp is the same colour as your skin is if you were bald headed at one point and tanned your scalp. But our scalp is always the palest part of our body.
No kidding! I have a white friend with long tight curly hair (3C!). A friend of the family is a hair stylist that had learned how to use product & iron to straighten curly hair. My friend had straight hair for the first time ever. She was walking around swinging that hair from side to side & caressing it all day long. Couldn't keep her hands off of it. She said it was like having a new toy. LOL!
Mine is FINALLY armpit length in the longest areas, but it needs a good trim...BSL is my ultimate goal. I've been re-growing for 3 yrs now. I used to get tired of growing it out at the 2yr mark and chop it all off again, but this time I'm committed!
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I am having the hardest time in nursing school. I just failed a test and I feel so stupid. I want to quit everyday. I feel like I was supposed to come back to this video. I’ve have seen it already but I clicked on it and the first thing it said was “remember why you started”. I felt that! I needed to read those words. Also, her hair is beautiful.
Keep pushing forward. Just remember it isn't necessary to ace all your courses. A c is fine as long as you pass all your courses. You are not "stupid" or you would never have passed the stiff competition to get into nursing school. Nursing is a language that most people don't know and that is why it is so hard. Doing nursing math is not like anything you could prepare for in high school. On top of all your nursing theory, & support science courses, such as Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Nutrition, etc you also have your clinical rotations and lab as well. So if you have to drop a course then pick it up over the summer session or a different semester. Please make sure to avail yourself of any tutoring as well. There are online resources as well. I don't know if you have to do a paper each semester but get help with that as well if you have to. Also, care plans can be daunting but don't let them frighten you. Just remember what a care plan is. It is how a problem or diagnosis will be addressed for a patient. RU-vid is an excellent resource. It can help immensely with everything you have to do in your clinical and your labs. Care plans are on RU-vid. Nursing math is on RU-vid. The nice thing about RU-vid is that you can replay the video over and over until you get it. Also, go on nursing forums such as nurse.com for help as well. Most importantly remember that every single nurse went through the exact same thing you are going through. And we all felt "stupid" at some point. I believe that you will not only graduate but pass the nursing boards as well. Trust me when I say that one day you will be the one wearing scrubs and giving the next nursing student the same advice. Congrats on making it into nursing school & the best of luck to you!!!!! 👏👌😁😂👍👍👍😊✔✔✔😅
Stay focused. Learn what your errors were so you won’t repeat them again. You will likely see the ones you’ve missed on your final. You can do this. You’ve got this.
I know it’s so easy to feel that way and think you are stupid, but please don’t. I took an exam twice to become certified and i cried like crazy the second time. I’m so mortified to take it again just to feel that pain, especially after studying. Sometimes it’s not meant to be. Pick up right where you left off and you will make it.
You’re not stupid, don’t think that way. Just try to push through and give it your all. I don’t want you to quit even though nursing school is difficult, keep pushing and keep moving forward!!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Also, I’m glad that her message in the video reminded you of where you’re going in life, don’t forget that. Good luck to you on your journey, I’m sure you’ll be fine and graduate.❤️
Michele Joyner you can apply as much heat as you want to hair but it’s how the person maintains and cares for their hair it will continue to be healthy no matter what. Same goes for bleach someone can bleach their hair and it can remain in a healthy state as long as the person knows how to maintain and keep it looking healthy . It’s all about caring for your hair in the right ways and you can do ANYTHING you want to it .
@@JESUSISLORDforevermore888 they're just signalling that they're taking up space for a lil while on a black woman's channel as someone of another race (intentionally or not), nothing big about it. i'm doing the same as an asian teenager. i think it's nice to show some presence so this space feels increasingly more diverse.
“I had to use my pop lock and drop it knees” 😩🤣 that had me cracking up!! Omg her hair is beautiful 😍😍 I would love if my hair was long and full like that. Couldn’t tell me nothing 💅🏽💅🏽 Something about watching these kinds are videos are so relaxing and soothing. Great work hun, as usual 🖤🖤🖤
Shiii, where I live they would tell me, " No...No mami! Lol Then at other places be ready to CHOP my hair to the shrinkage length.....Then I'll have to leave in handcuffs!
Yea. They get impatient. Happened to me before. I always know whether it’s gonna be a bad visit by how the stylist handles my hair while detangling it. If they’re too rough with my ends, we’re arguing while I’m in the chair.
I cannot fathom how much effort it takes to keep up with natural hair that's this long and is so incredibly healthy. What a commitment. Her hair is so stunning!!!
As a man, I’m over here “growing” my hair out and had the audacity to complain about 6” growth in 5 months and how high maintenance it is... 🤣🤦🏽♂️ Such an impressive channel and relaxing to my ocd. I’ve also learned quite a bit. She truly cares about her clients’ hair/scalp etc. a Master stylist.
Having hair this length is no joke because you can’t just go anywhere to get it done. I haven’t been to a salon for full services since 2011 and have seen my hair go from shoulder length to classic length in 5 years because I take care of it. I tried going to a “natural hair stylist” once to be pampered and ended up walking out. Sis was raking through towel dried hair with a wide tooth comb telling me my hair was damaged. I went home, lathered on deep conditioner and gently detangle the knots she created and then booked a trim with a friend that does hair. He said there was nothing wrong with my hair (which I knew) and warned me about that salon having less skilled stylists because they are used to dealing with weaves and relaxers and not how to treat real, natural hair. Lesson learned. I do my hair myself and while it’s time consuming, it’s better off in the long run. Plus, I got the nerve to be tender headed.
I feel you, where I'm from there aren't many hairstylists that do curly hair, the closest one is like a 3 hour drive from my home and I can't do that, I don't trust others with my hair. My friend that also has curly hair went to the salon I was talking about, but she asked for a normal cut and they almost chopped it all off, ended up with a mushroom cut, it looks great on her (she's beautiful), but that was not what she asked for. I ended up doing my own hair in my house
Amen! I went to get my hair done and the woman asked if I was “tender head”, and whenever a stylist ask you just that 1 question should tell you that they don’t know what they are doing. She was ruff with my hair and combed it aggressively and didn’t moisturize it beforehand after she washed it. She allowed my hair to dry and began combing it and pulled hair OUT. I went off and had someone with “more experience” to do it and she still didn’t treat it properly. She didn’t use the comb and press method and tried to tell me that I have different hair textures which is why she couldn’t do a “proper job”, these were black women with weaves and braids, and that’s when I instantly knew that not every stylist knows how to do natural hair.
My hair is not that curly I think is a type 3a and a hairdresser I went last year told me to go to a African hairdresser as they now how to treat my hair better, I am latín so I don’t think they know how to treat it either, maybe it’s because I live in Australia and they don’t have idea
@@corinnedominique7824 I don't know if you are old enough to remember Star Search and when she performed on there. At the end of her performance she smiled and took a bow. I can remember that like it was yesterday and when that young lady pulled down the mask and smile I thought "Aaliyah"!
Healthy hair is so lovely, even more so when it is the hands of someone who loves hair and knows what they are doing! Blessings and continued success xxx
This be the type of girl to wear her hair in a bun 365. days except for Sunday meanwhile I be shaking my ear length hair in the wind like a pantene commercial🤦🏿♀️
I see a lot of beautiful black women in the comments saying that they wish their hair was this long but Your hair is your hair and it's beautiful! Don't be discouraged ❤️
lol im weak. I think ppl with short hair likes long hair and some ppl with long hair likes short hair like me. my hair is waist length but that was in july 2017 😆 cut that shit off and donated it my hair will forever now be 1/2inches long. I been tired of washdays and twisting my hair every week ughh edit: btw i have 4c hair 😋
If my hairstylist dont have this kind of DEDICATION, EDUCATION, DETERMINATION, TIME, COMMITMENT, PATIENCE,LOVE, ND CARE then ion 🙅 want it 🤦🤣 Thanks yall for the likes.. Didnt kno so many women care for their hair 😄🤦😁👍💕
Amen! And I love how she did not comb her hair needlessly. Some stylist do that and it is very irritating. I just wanna scream "that is not doll hair!", lol! She did an amazing job. Very professional!
Thank you for sharing this especially: Those of us black girls with longer hair are usually met with a bad attitude from lazy stylists who don't want to take the time. As you noticed her scalp is very fair because sun rarely gets in therefore it's important to be gentle (you were) with the finger comb out. & lastly, I'm glad your client agreed to show her gorgeous face. It's nice to see a pretty girl without the immortal zombie beat RU-vid is famous for.
Chell Yeah Please don’t, just trim the ends and start wearing French braids/twists. Trust me if you cut it all off would you really be happy? If so go for it, if not leave your hair alone gorgeous ❤️
Whew her hair was beautiful after just being blow dried lol I would’ve left my hair like that. That’s goals enough for me. Just clip my ends and go on my merry way.
Her hair is similar to my daughters and I get maaaad when she doesn’t care for it or wrap it up properly. Because who has to help her unravel and comb it? Me. She’s 30 yo btw 😂🙄😩
If only I lived in the US but I live in the Uk, I would’ve came to her salon because she is so talented. I hope one day to get my hair done at her salon. Love you so much 💕🥰
I can't stop watching her hair move--it's like strands of delicate, shining silk--so, so beautiful! I have always envied other womens' hair since mine is so baby fine and thin. Especially women of color, Asian women, Latina women--their hair is so thick and textured and gorgeous! But I also realize watching these videos how much effort and hard work goes into maintaining hair like that. It's a lot of work!! I have mad respect for the artistry of hairdressers and stylists and for those whose hair it is!💕
Your comment is so lovely. Yes it takes a lot of work, but it's worth it in the end because you're rewarded with great hair. It doesn't matter the hair type. If you put the effort and love into it, you will see the fruits of your labor.
Your uplifting words were sweet to read. Keep in mind, though, that your hair is like a plant.....it will respond to the positivity and care that you put into in. No matter the type of hair you have, Im sure it is lovely and beautifully unique to you! 💕
I always wished I had thin, straight hair or hair like this amazing girl in the video (I have thick, coarse, strangely curly hair...but it’s easy to straighten or wave up with an iron). Then I had my daughter who has pin straight, baby fine hair. I can’t do a dang thing with it!!! Doesn’t hold a curl or wave. Doesn’t stay in a ponytail. She uses a hair piece for cheer!! lol. Mad respect to y’all who have hair like that and to those with hair like this young lady in the video. I’ve stopped bitching because I have learned how much work everyone else has to put into their hair and I won’t ever complain again!
True story. My friend’s hair is natural and people always ask her if she is wearing a wig. Its rude tbh. Its like saying black girls can’t have natural hair that’s beautiful. 😒
@@maryoomaaziz3606 short hair is beautiful too. You said "natural hair thats beautiful" like short natural hair isn't beautiful, but it is just as good.
You showed so much love and care for her hair, it was just beautiful to watch. I really don't even understand why it's so soothing to watch your videos, but I think maybe it's the nurturing aspect of what you do that creates that calming feeling for so many of us viewers.
Antonia Tan. How you mixed with black but not black??? That’s like saying I’m a person but I’m not human....and you can be JUST black with hair this long🤦♀️
Ok, I literally said “that’s it?!” outloud when you showed the little bit of hair from the brush after the blow dry after 2 hours. You are magic, gurl!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@yeshuaischrist9951 Why do you gotta do that for lol? Not cause we're half white they're are a lot of black women who's hair is long doesn't matter if they're fully black or half have a blessed day! 🧡
Such gorgeous hair, and I'm jealous of that length! I'm not black, but I always go to black owned and operated salons to do my hair as I'm middle eastern/arab, and I have long, thick, super curly hair and the stylists are always the only ones who can do my hair right, and understand the texture. I just found this channel out of nowhere but I'm subscribing because these videos are so satisfying. It also takes around an hour and a half to two hours to blow dry my hair so I understand that feeling so well lol
I feel you on that! I’m white but I have coarse hair. I’m very lucky, my mom hustled side money as a teenager in Detroit by doing hair and it was almost exclusively textured hair. My momma was the one who cut and styled my hair my ENTIRE life. But I live in Texas now, far away from her and my hair just isn’t what it was when I had my momma close by to take care of it.
Same for my sister and I. We are not black but are Indian. And we have hair that reacts better to black haircare products and maintenance techniques. I couldn’t find anything from Indians since they only like straight hair, not curly like mine. Until one day I watched a haircare video by zendaya and realized we have a similar hair type. I’m so thankful for channels like these who have educated me on how to take care of my hair.
