Just wondering, during the pre-production of the film, did the production company have to ask for a "blessing " from the two real popes? 🤔🤔🤔

Nice acting by two accomplished Welsh actors, Pryce born in North and Hopkins in South Wales. In reality, the two pontiffs didn't get along as well as the film depicts. Screenwriters are notorious for using dramatic license to add warm fuzzies to history. A good film nonetheless.

He. Is. Amazing. Especially in this movie! I waited a long time to be emotionally ready for the Two Popes thinking it would be ‘heavy’ but it wasn’t. It was the complete opposite.

Once you realize a former Bond villain can transpose to the papacy delusions of grandeur exhibited by Elliot Carver will be forever ingrained in your conception of Pope Francis. One cannot watch without expecting Pope Francis in the movie (Johnathan Pryce ) to wave his hand and declare "behold"...........I give you a world in which man is no longer cruel.

The way I see it, there isn’t an actor Jonathan pryce on one hand and on the other hand Pope Francis. Simply same dude working both roles and is in on a much bigger scheme
