I think it's comparable with 122TM, decent tank that is comfy to use (has reliable armor, ok mobility, good gun depression, great accuracy) but with the cost of DPM (122TM trades alpha for even worse DPM). It's not exactly a mega carry tank but it's good for people who want reliable machine that deals consistent damage and print money.
For me the type 63 is an heavy that wanted to be medium and the 122tm a medium that wanted to be an heavy : Basicaly it has low alpha dmg but compensated by a high rate of fire the hull is total garbage . The 122tm has a better hull , better alpha but less depression , more reload time , less accuracy (depending of if you use the t63 mecanique or not) and is a medium but is frontal armor can bounce shell . If you want my personal opinion the 122tm will still perform better than the type 63 but the type 63 would be more enjoyable than the 122tm
@@deezwho8990 A number of people might not exactly "like" it, but for general public the stats speaks for itself. It's the second most profitable medium tank below Progetto (and it's clone), and it's the second most "OP" premium medium tank by it's winrate (based on Tank WR vs Player WR). It has certain level of armor and speed which enables players of any skill level to survive for long, and low DPM has never been a hurdle for profit making. Good ammo selection and accuracy is the one which makes a good moneymaker premium, and low DPM has been the tradition for 'easy' moneymaker since the age of Lowe. You don't need to win a lot of games to qualify as a 'comfy' premium tank, you need an easy tank that deals consistent damage.
The 122TM is my overall favorite premium medium tank for reasons already stated. It's reliable and consistent. It's currently one of my highest WR tanks at Tier 8 at 62% despite it not being a good "carry" tank. It's just really comfy.
Why play a tank that is so niche? I got it in the boxes sold it bought the Leopard 1.. sold the Maus for a 103b. Why mess with trying to make difficult mediocre tanks work? Get S. Conquer, 277 don't mess with ugh
I love Edvin & Zwhatsh calling out "Aim Mechanic" & "Siege Mechanic" like Japanese Anime characters calling out their special attack techniques when fighting! ROFL! You guys are truly Awesome & Epic!
Drinking game: Take a shot every time one of em says "aim mechanic". I'm gonna go barf now...or enter a coma...IDK. On a serious note, I feel 360 alpha would do this tank wonders.
8:05 Exactly! It doesn't matter how many perfectly balanced (as all things should be) tanks they release, as long as they refuse to nerf all these OP premiums, things like this Type 63 will only ever be mediocre at best.
WG dont nerf tier 8 premiums because players of these tanks cry when the tank is nerfed. Look the superpershing was the best tier 8 and when wg nerfed the superpershing the community made a whole drama because they had spent real money on the tank. And wg learned to never nerf a tank again because the community would get mad. But the nerf is necesary today. Look at the BZ 176 is better than some tier 9. is like and old type 4 going at 50kmh. lol, but wg knows that if nerf the BZ a lot of people will cry, and thats why they dont do it.
@@JiriooAs an owner of all premium tanks I support required emergency nerfs with the caveat that if they obviously overnerf it they revisit it and buff it later. I would love niche relative parity.
The problem with the Super Pershing nerf is that it WASN'T the best tier 8 premium, and they removed the ONE THING that made it different - the spaced armor. They also made its gun a lot less accurate and made the giant weak spot easier to pen. It was an overboard nerf that never should have happened - like the KV1S and Hellcat nerfs. The Lowe and IS6 were far harder to kill than the Super P was back then. And the Type 59.@@Jirioo
I feel like this tank would feel better if they had just given it 360, or even 390, alpha. The American T32 has the same 320 alpha but it just feels better to use because of its higher DPM. The two has similar armor profiles as well, which is a paper hull and a strong turret; it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that this tank is essentially a Japanese T32, but weaker. It's not like the T32's gun is particularly horrible as well, so I don't think the AIM MECHANIC really makes up for the poor DPM even though it does seem to make the gun extremely accurate.
Tanks gg has this great "Compare by Stat" mechanic. Can look at all 100 tier VIII heavy tanks in the game. Caernarvon sits in the first place, with a whopping 2,580 BASE DPM in the worst DPM spot is the Lowe, with a 1,600 BASE DPM Type 63, sits in 70th place by DPM, with ... 1,794 BASE DPM There is literally *69* (nice) better tanks, by DPM, than the Type 63 (The Emil I has better DPM lol)
I think i will get it, i liked these tanks because they are not unfair and still performs great, what all premium tanks should be, RIGHT SKODA T56, BZ 176 COF COF COF
I would say the T832 is arguably better than the Type 63, mostly due to the fact that the 832 has a consistently accurate gun, despite its low DPM, in contrast to the Type 63 which has to sacrifice even more of its already poor DPM in order to be very accurate.
@@___von___7377 the T-832 is propably better because of armor more than consistent accuracy. The type has better mobility whitch makes up for the armor. But well see how this performs soon
My experience so far ... either my team dies in 2 minutes (average wot experience), we win in 2 minutes (reverse) or the stalemate kicks in (rare) where this thing shines being able to use terrain to hit positions where it would be harder to do so.
Looking at the armor profile of this. HE guns will pen the hull on the side and rear easy peasy. And if it sidescrapes the BZ will overmatch just about anything, and so will a KV-2 with AP.
The Type 63 I feel should have had at least 360 alpha, BARE MINIMUM. It would've likely felt better with 390. The 320 alpha is a fucking relic from an era of World of Tanks that has long since become a fossil in a museum.
Considering how WG works so far. Introducing powerful/good premium version of the new tech tree then the inferior tech tree version. I wont be surprised if the tech tree version have 300 alpha, less armor and all u get is 3km/h more top speed
despite it being bad in comparison to other tanks, this feels like what the game needs, ngl i can feel that wg got a bit of ptsd after the release of bz-176, they're just trying to be careful, as if they added a 400 damage cannon with same dpm instead of 320, people would've gone apeballs over it.
its really good tank but for an average game that lasts 5-7mins u cant do anything til the enemy pushes bcs 1798 base dpm with 320 alpha is horrible with even gun cooldown to hit better basically anything with dpm destroys you easly and as u said they cant pen u on hullodwn and they wont even peek afterwards means you have to move but u cant do that with low dpm
I'm still the fan of Bisonte. I had some pretty noice rounds in it. More than this tank. I'd say the only upside of it is that it looks like it has a railgun. Then it doesn't have a railgun. 😢
Watching you guys play World of Tanks, is like watching myself play WOT... Lots of yelling, screaming, and WTF?!?! It's amazing how every heavy tank in the game seems indestructible, until I play it...
i will say they have balanced this tank decent.. you will do good to great in it.. but its hard to get fantastic dmg games.. really strong turret and gun. i think its a /approved
Definitely right on in the 'These are the types of tanks WoT needs but they keep releasing all the other ridiculous ones so what do these even matter for' commentary. Hard to argue with a Bourrasque swooping in and dropping 750 in your exhaust port and then being gone before you've even reloaded, or insert whatever your flavor of unbalanced silly tank poison is.
I think the Type-63 brings a new Sniper HT META. As the low DPM and alpha damage may not be suitable for close-range encounter or even in hull-down position, middle range sniping with such high accuracy is much more effective.
I like how the new tank looks like - it's not op and yet it offers some interesting mechanics. Wasn't this improved aiming mechanic something that community wanted for a long time? It rewards people who aim longer for weakspots and encourages newer players to learn them. This something that this game should always be about, about tactic and knowledge and not neverending gold spam and riddiculous RNG in game.
This honestly seems like a very fair and enjoyable tank to add to the game. It's fun but it doesn't feel broken. Will be good in the hands of good players
It would be amazing if it would do more damage when the crosshair is big, and later normal damage when smaller crosshair kicks in... I mean more damage when less accurate and less damage when more accurate.
The aim mechanic would probably be better suited on Destroyers. Mediums and Heavies do a lot of peek a boom so having to wait on it will either cost you some hit points, to varying degrees, or make it so by the time you get it to pop any penable spot is behind cover again. Destroyers do a lot of aiming beforehand so they're well suited for it. Except for the 183 and 4005. Neither of those tanks should have it. I've argued for years that they should damn well be strictly tier ten in match making and never below that. The gun is just too much.
They should add a siege mode sniper mode aim mechanic track mechanic improved configuration four-track double-barrel reverse improved autoreloader tank and make it shit
there should be a new tech tree line about the "aim mechanic" as said in the newest holiday ops video about the new tanks but i think it is probably on be ob tier VIII+ and maybe on tech tree line it is only gonna be on tier X...
can you guys do a video on the t-44-100? i have no clue what makes it different from the tech tree t44 apart from the armor screens on the sides... why would I pay $40 for it lol
i already love this tanks, it have my perfect tank's style, but this DPM man, i mean 8.44 sec reload for a 320 alpha is incredibly low, i would put that to like a 7.60/ 7.80, or at least give him 360/ 400 alpha with 9 reload....
its probably the best tank they could have came up with cuz it needs slow games cuz of low dpm however it is fun to play aaand if players are gonna spam these kind of slow game tanks games will be slower
It seems WG finally make balanced tanks??? Sure DPM is bad but you hits/pen 99 perc of shots. After BZ-176 crap this one feels ok,question is it better/worts than Emil 1 or Emil 1958??
Well, its kinda hard to trade dpm for accuraccy when you dont have dpm, imo it should have bigger alpha, cuz if tier 10 is like scaled up version of that then its just a worst stb1 - longer reload, same ish alpha, armour on turret and worst mobility, it should have had bigger alpha so when you wait longer for a shot its accually worth it, and it would feel more rewarding, but back again to tier 8 premium, its alpha is the same as in cs-52 lis, but with significantly longer reload, and lis already has really accurate gun, soo althou i agree its good it is not op, it feels kinda week in comparison to other stuff
With aiming mechanic it has the accuracy of Grille and siege mechanic gave it a much better gundep, so it's a better tornvagn. I think it's more comparable with 122 TM instead.
So the only requirement for the aim mechanic to kick in is to wait for a bit after u reloaded? Even when moving at full speed the mechanic will still kick in? Thats doesnt make sense. Only reason this tanks isnt as OP is bec of the low alpha. Give it higher alpha and this thing will be too strong. Would have make more sense if they also tied it up with the siege mode system.
This tank is designed for very long engagements, where you have to waste 12-15 seconds or more waiting for someone to show the cupola. Fast games make this tank irrelevant. I would pick the Caernarvon or even the Renegade any day over this thing. The best comparison to this tank is the T-832. Same alpha, similar playstyle and decent gun handling. A shame there are too many broken premium tanks out there.
