Sorry I disagree. The guy prefaces everything he says with a dire warning about climate change. Man, not climate, has done more to alter the course of modern ecosystems. Specifically, population growth has put tremendous pressure on wild animals. For him to harp on climate change and not population growth is a travesty

@@CBCycles - He's not shifting the blame, it's just one step removed: the human population boom and all that comes with it is expediting the climate change. This is common knowledge, and doesn't have to be specified every time you mention it.

Does he have any kids, or is he mentoring anyone? Perhaps one or more of them could take up the baton. I am sure that besides the people he works with directly, he has inspired many to study biology, ecology, and wildlife and botanical conservation, as well as ways to reform agricultural and animal husbandry practices.

@@e4t662 Walking with dinosaurs is the master of paleontological mistakes, and the mistake that i hate the most is depicting the Liopleurodon as a 25 meters titan, when in reality the Liopleurodon was much smaller and only 7,1 meters long, with 5,6 and 6,3 for the typical size Don't listen to Walking with dinosaurs, is a master of paleontological inaccuracies

Sir David Attenborough is always great as narrator of any documentary wether animal documentary or Dinosaur and prehistoric creature documentary like this one. It's about the great apex predator, one of the ultimate marine reptile during Jurassic ocean, Pliosaur 😊.

It's probably because buses come in all kinds of lengths. School buses, mini buses, those shorter town buses... whereas a double decker is more standard. You don't get mini double deckers for instance.

Phillip Jacobs conducted the initial find of the snout and then donated the fossil find. Delighted for this content despite the BBC lack of credit for the actually discovery by Phillip and even his photography of the cliff to help identify where the rest of the skull might be.

i'm seeing that they have corrected the 12 meter estimate and decreased the size to a smaller 10 meters, wich is a lot closer to the estimates i have obtained from scaling the skull from other pliosaurs good job BBC!

David: what lurks underneath me is the pliosaur Me: well he is in Dorset in the South Coast on England and the background was just CGI that the BBC editors put together, but amazing discovery David. But it also just goes to show just how blossomed the UK is with fossils and a great natural history although it did exist as an island for hundreds of millions of years.

When i was a child i was on tenerife island beside afrika and on one beach they had a dinoseur skeletton under water 10 meters deep.I remenber it very good its a dyving attaktion and people do not want it in a museum they like it under water on this beach.

One should also wonder, how these creatures landed into the ocean with a streamlined body, flippers and jaws. How did they evolve and what did they evolve from? Did they just land from outer space and thought the ocean was a perfect spot for living and hunting? If they evolved from other creatures then how long did it take for them to evolve?
