I could not understand why the stall holders did not raise up the prices of the goods served to the tourists as well as the locals. The local tourists have patronised the local Uyghur foods and their own fruit products that sold all over China. They have been selling the delicacy to other provinces and even established their industries in the eastern and southern provinces with high delicacy. When I travel tour my ancestor hometown, tour guide directed us to Xinjiang barbecue roasted goat meats. It tasted delicious and tendentious for out liking and invited us to travel to Xinjiang for cheaper and better varieties.

China is great in so many ways, especially the parts tourists see, but as someone who has lived here 14 years can testify, you don't see 0.1% of what is here, if you are just a tourist. The landscape and traditional culture is awesome but what ordinary people have to put up with on a lowkey and also higher level human rights basis would make you astonished.
