I’m astounded how people misunderstand Nietzsche in an attempt to make him more palatable. Nietzsche believed fully that man is materially determined. The reason the overman has not existed is because he is a biological reality. He is the next step in evolution. In the same way that he believed ancient religious man was biologically inferior to rational man, he believed the overman would be driven wholly by will. Both reason and emotion would be beneath him. Ideals mean nothing before the overman. He is his own ideal. Don’t flatter yourself thinking you can be the overman. You can only be born as him and when he appears you will be his slaves. No man will be able to outwit him. He will invent rekigions and philosophies to ensnare and subdue rational and superstitious men. My goodness, don’t believe these videos, read Nietzsche

I haven't ever read any of Neitzche's work, but I listened to Jordan Peterson talk about him once. He said that Neitzche didn't necessarily believe that God is dead, but that real Christians are. Real Christians don't just acknowledge the fact that Jesus exists and is God, they imitate Jesus perfectly, or at least as perfectly as they can. Jesus didn't believe in just the belief, but the pursuit of righteousness; I think that is very similar to what Neitzche believes. Jesus and Neitzche are very similar in the fact that they both challenged conventionally accepted religion. Jesus was sick of what Judaism had become: the Jewish people were taking the Commandments to literally, they weren't devoting themselves to what the Commandments represent. They represent the pursuit of righteousness and perfection, and they acknowledge that it is an impossible goal. But we must try, that is what Jesus stood for, and that is what Christianity is lacking and has been lacking for centuries now. That is what Neitzche's criticisms were aimed at I believe.
You couldn’t be more wrong. Read Nietzsche. Beyond Good and Evil is pretty straightforward. He’s not just a protonazi. He’s an ubernazi. The only problem he’d have with Hitler is that Hitler was devoted to the German nation. The overman would have done the same thing but only to serve his personal will. He describes how the overman will use deceit and cunning to invent religions and ideologies to subdue man and enthrone himself. He will create slave populations of mental retards and of course annihilate the Jews and other inferior races which are of less use. He’s not subtle about this. It’s all there in his books. He despised Jesus because the man had all the abilities of the overman but sacrificed himself for truth instead of lying using his powers for himself. It’s Nietzsche’s stupid popularizers who try to inturpret him in a life affirming way. I read through all that and my jaw just dropped at how far off these kinds of videos are. I mean there’s no question, the guy was psycho. When he said god was dead, he meant god was irrelevant to the current species of man. He believed rational man had evolved from superstitious man and god was a word left over from superstitious man which had no meaning to rational man. In the same way overman will evolve from us, and to him reason and truth will be as irrelevant as god is to us.
"Clear aspiration" is what I needed to activate me which is why I never kept any job for long, sure I wanted money but they aren't the same thing. When I aspired to not being a disposable slave to the system it motivated me to built an apartment on a truck with no previous experience so even though it was duanting I made a deal with myself that if I ever got overwhelmed that I could just stop until I felt like trying again which took all the pressure of and brought a clarity of thinking I didnt know I was even capable of and shazam...Lasting motivation! I knew I couldn't fail at that point, it was just a matter of how successful the project was going to be. Every problem you solve can be stood upon to see further ahead to what your potential is, and don't forget to day dream often, its only frowned upon because it doesn't make money for others.
You should read a book about Nietzsche called "Challenging Philosophy and the Philosophers: Explaining Nietzsche to Academic Philosophers". It takes a deep dive that i have not seen any other Nietzsche documenters go on
