When I visited Cardiff, there was a family that noticed I had an American accent and they talked to me a little bit. One of the kids said "We're Celtic too, but we're not drunks or maniacs like the Irish and the Scottish" and his mother elbowed him and said to be quiet because I might think he is serious. I quietly said, "I think he's a little serious." I am also in awe of their language.

Fun fact, the South Wales Celts Aka The Silures, were probably the craziest Celts around. Also the most successful, the only tribes to be able to beat the romans on a even playing field in history anywhere.

I live 20 mins away from Bridgend and I have not gone into town for about 20yrs it’s a shit hole sad really used to love nightclubbing there in the day! But they do have some good retail parks…

I used to work in a Victorian pub here in Canada….Draught beer was 80 cents Canadian a pint 🤣. That was in 1989 . Now it’s 5 to 10 bucks…which if you figure out exchange rate is 4 to 1 …beer is still cheap here . One pound is almost 4 dollars…..and I wouldn’t be drinking pony piss American beer …bud light⁉️🤮. A pint of really good IPA is 6 bucks …so 2 pounds

It always tops the lists for worst areas to live. I went there for the first time last Monday and had a woman shout the fuck did u say to me when I wasn't even looking in her direction, saw homeless people trying to fight Tesco employees and had a full car park of chavs in cars for this Tesco stare us out like they just knew we weren't from there. I was there 30 minutes
