Here are a few points to summarise my thoughts. 1 - I don't think war is ever an option, if Russia thought they were in imminent danger against Nato (a defence pact), then they should have made a defence pact of their own with ally countries and kept the peace. Everyone would feel safe knowing they had means to defend themselves. 2 - Starting a war to keep your people safe is actually bringing certain death to your troops. A potential threat has now become certain death to innocent people. That should have been avoided, now Ukraine has to fight back and strive for survival. 3 - It upsets me that in terms or holding power and authority, that there is nothing we can do right now, except speak out, vote consciously, support the victims and pray for it to end and for things like this to never happen again. 4 - Though, It is within our power to keep the peace amongst ourselves as a human race despite what our leaders decide to do. We should always advocate for peace because war, violence and revenge is an endless loop. 5 - it is not my place to say anything about any country that I don't live in or am a citizen of. I'm just reacting to a video that was recommended to me and I have absolutely no clue on what to say, think or how to react to this. I have friends from both countries and all I know and want is for the war to end so people can have a normal and peaceful life, as hard as it will be to pick it back up. We have to have hope that things will get better. In hindsight, I know I'm not the best with words either, so please don't judge before listening and trying to understand what I meant, this is a very complicated situation as it is and I mean no offence if I said something out of place.

That's what you should think about at your leisure: 1. NATO is not a defensive alliance, but an aggressive military organization that has unleashed many wars and killed many civilians all over the planet. 2. Any war unleashed by the US country was for the sake of "US security". Do you think that the United States can fight for security, but Russia cannot? American hypocrisy. 3. You should be upset that your own US state is invading countries that are not even at your borders. It should upset you that your own US state is killing millions of people all over the planet in order to establish its own planetary dictatorship. You will not find a single military conflict on the planet where the United States is not present at all in the form of troops or advisers. Not one. That's what should upset you. 4. All wars on the planet are instigated or organized by the United States. No country on the planet has the opportunity to avoid war if the United States wants to organize a war. No one can refuse to fight, because when you are hit in the face, you have to hit back or you will die. The problem of wars on the planet does not come from fictional "dictatorships", but from the thirst to be a planetary dictator in the United States. 5. The war will end instantly if the US government stops supporting the bloody and cannibalistic Ukrainian government. Ukraine lost the war in the summer of 2022, but the United States supports the already deceased state organism of Ukraine with arms supplies, propaganda and money. Ukraine no longer has its own weapons and money, Russia destroyed it in the summer of 2022. The propaganda of your government inspires you that there is a struggle for democracy, but this is a lie. In Ukraine in 2014, a presidential candidate who did not like the United States was beaten and kicked out - is this democracy? Pro-Russian regions have been banned from voting in Ukraine - is this democracy? In Ukraine, special detachments of thugs beat people for an opinion that differs from the opinion of the state - is this democracy? Fifty people were burned alive in Ukraine because they had a different opinion, and none of the murderers were punished - is this democracy? We are not building military bases at your borders, and the United States is building military bases at our borders - why? We just want to live, and the US wants to plunder our natural resources - isn't that a threat to us? Wake up.

@@Ukropatolog It was not NATO that attacked Chechnya and massacred 1/5 of its population. It wasn't NATO that partially invaded Georgia under spurious pretexts, it wasn't NATO that invaded Ukraine in 2014 and tried to annex it in 2022, it wasn't NATO, which seeks to destabilize Moldova, is not NATO, which finances far-right and populist parties in Europe in the United States and spreads fascist propaganda. Russia claims to be fighting the Nazis, but it behaves like them by hitting civilians, torturing, raping, stealing.... Russia has a mafia regime headed by Putin who has his opponents eliminated by poisoning them by making them murder by shooting or "committing suicide" by throwing them out of windows or imprisoning them in deplorable conditions. I can read Russian and I can understand propaganda broadcasts on Kanal1 and NTV. Your columnists and editorial writers vomit their hatred of the West all day long by calling us Westerners "degenerates". We have seen signs in Russia displaying, among other things, "Alaska is ours" and it is NATO that is imperialist? The truth is that we will soon witness a civil war and the fall of the last colonial empire on the planet: Russia... And the world will be safer for it. Your political system is so corrupt that even the military hardware is outdated or does not exist because the agent has been hijacked by your politicians or military officials. Russia has become thanks to Putin a third world country which will be defeated by Ukraine and all those responsible for this attempted genocide will be brought before the courts as well as all their accomplices.

11:20 the problem is there is not much in common between Russia and Ukraine.. For an example - Valuievsky(1863) and Emsky(1876) decrees were aimed to exterminate ukrainian language as a part of culture. Then we have Zaporizhzhian sich termination by Catherine II (1775). Then we have Holodomor which is man-made famine took place in 1932-1933 (approximately 4-10 millions people died), militaries were taking grain, that`s been core good for an agrarian state, by force. That said, Russia wants Ukraine to be either it`s property for an exchange, or just a 603 700 km² of ruins.
@DaniilDude
@DaniilDude Год назад
"Holodomor" is a wrong name. It was a famine caused by the mistakes of the Soviet leadership. This famine, if you don't know, swept not only across Ukraine, but also across the Volga region, the Urals, Siberia and Kazakhstan. Stalin had no goal to starve Ukrainians, and why? After all, a giant repressive machine could do without it.

@Bebronyoukh

Had to make a remark as a Ukrainian. We're not people of the same heritage with russians. russia stole our history, lots of our customs, appropriated a huge chunk of art and killed those artists they couldn't appropriate before soviet union and especially during the soviet times. We have been existential enemies for centuries and have never been brothers. Creating moscovia was a mistake that our ancestors made hundreds of years ago by sending a member of the Rus royal family far behind the forests to rule the non-slavic tribes (Rus was actually mostly Ukraine and Belarus, moscovia stole the name in 1721 and became known as the russian empire. The funny thing is that the "u" letter is a bait for western people to confuse russia with Rus, russians literally write and pronounce their country's name as "rOssia", and so do we, so there is no way for us to mistake Rus with rossia, even though the occupiers claim these to be the same thing, at least phonetically we can tell the difference, while the western people can not). To go even further, russian culture would be nothing without Ukraine since the majority of famous "russian" composers, writers, painters, rocket builders etc. either descended from Ukrainian immigrants or were Ukrainian immigrants themselves. Think of Gogol, Kuinji, Bulgakov, Akhmatova, Chekhov, Tchaikovsky, Dostoyevsky, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Repin and so on and so on. And you know why they or their ancestors were leaving Ukraine? Because part of Ukraine was colonized by russia and had it's growth stunned in every aspect. These motherfuckers stole or killed almost everything we had, and we will get our revenge through taking back our land and our culture, and then putting all our forces into helping desintegrate russia until it completely wanishes from the political map. They've attacked the wrong country.

According Russians, If You are speaking Russian language in Russia, you are the patriot. But at the same time if you are speaking Ukrainian language in Ukraine, you are nazi. That’s the major problem. Through all our times Russian were pretending that Ukrainians are not existing. That Ukrainians are the same, but funnier, sillier, can’t speaking in “normal” language, or even they are- it’s always with “so sweet” accent. How, how Ukrainians can live in peace with such neighbor? It’s the matter of their existence… Ukrainians we’re fighting for their own country, with their own language, culture rules (not “minor culture only for villages”, “poor language- not for science”) for generations, and finally they were so lucky to get that at 1991. They just can’t give up for “world shall get back to normal”. They just want to be heard and treated as a equal, not “lesser brother/nation”.

Ukraine knew a lot about its neighbour. That's why Ukraine was very much asking under the NATO umbrella. Because then Ukraine would have been covered by NATO Article 5 and Russia would not have attacked. Russia always attacks the weak, which is why Finland urgently joined NATO, because Russia (USSR) attacked Finland in 1939 under the same pretext as Ukraine now. Still, Finland was not helped and had to give up its 2 largest cities, but they always remembered the evil and treacherous neighbours.

Mirror the situation: For example, in Mexico there is a pro-Russian or pro-Chinese military coup. Such slogans as "Yankee to cactus", "good American is dead American", "stick a machete in the gringo" are gaining popularity. Some areas (border) do not agree with the new policy, since among the inhabitants the overwhelming majority are closely connected with the United States. Troops are brought into these areas and active hostilities begin with massacres of civilians (mainly English speakers). Further, the new president at the UN summit says that it is time for Mexico to become a new nuclear power, and he already has agreements with Russia / China to build bases with nuclear weapons and provide everything necessary (materials and specialists) Question: How long will it take the United States to bring its aircraft carrier groups to the coast of Mexico and turn its entire surface into glass? And what will be the reaction of the world (Western) community to the statement of the President of the United States "these are the interests of our national security"?

Deeper and deeper. I recommend watching the BBC documentary. Losses in WW2. When the USSR (of which the Republic of Ukraine was a part, at that time still without Crimea in the composition, which Khrushchev later transferred to Ukraine). The Ukrainian front of the Red Army was one of the first to take the fight. The USSR lost 30 million. There is no family that has not lost loved ones during the Great Patriotic War and in Ukraine too. We can see how now Bandera (a Nazi SS Horseshoe) is called a hero in Ukraine, streets in Kiev were renamed in his honor. And the monuments of the Red Army soldiers - defenders of the Fatherland, of course, were demolished. You know, Zelensky thanks those who “fought against Russia during WW2.” Well, we understand that the Nazis fought against Russia, right? Who was Zelensky thanking? The first Ukrainian Division is the same division of the Waffen SS "Galicia". That is, logically, in the Canadian parliament Zelensky honored a Hitler collaborator who, if he had a chance, would have killed Canadian citizens on the fields of World War II.

from the position of a citizen of a small country - if you think that your country has the right to react with aggression to the sovereign decisions of your neighbor just because it is smaller and weaker, you are an imperialist - it's simple and there is no reason to add ideology to it - that's what Russia does
@samasebevesna

The bottom line is that the whole "dilemma" with NATO by Russia is just a way to justify aggression. Many facts prove this. For example, until 2008, Russia participated in NATO's Partnership for Peace program. Ukraine did not apply to join NATO; yes, Ukraine wanted to join, but no one in NATO’s countries planned to accept it. Now Finland, which shares a border with Russia, has joined NATO, and Putin's direct statement is "we have no problem with that."

Now Finland has joined NATO (of course, because of Russian aggression), but were there any prerequisites that it would not join NATO, which is constantly expanding? For some reason, Russia took that the "peaceful defensive alliance" (which never protected its members from attacks by other countries, but only invaded other independent countries and considers Russia the main military threat) threatens it ... I wonder why.

There are also steppe Polovtsians, Pechenegs, Tatars and other Turkic peoples. Greeks, Caucasian peoples, Hungarians, Romanians, Poles. The Ukrainian ethnic group exists, but it is extremely small. This country was created artificially during the USSR period, ukrainian language is formed from various Russian and local dialects and is purely colloquial, it does not contain scientific terms. Malorossiya has been actively replenished with immigrants for several centuries, autonomy was finally formed inside the USSR, everyone was forced to learn ukrainian language. Ukraine is essentially an artificial state with many mixed ethnic groups, and occupying Russian territories in the east and disputed territories between Russia and Poland in the west. Ukraine as an artificial country, formed relatively recently, naturally has nothing to do with the history of ancient Rus

NATO is not a threat because NATO is alliance for DEFENCE. The only danger that comes with NATO expanding when countries want to join in like we (Ukraine) want now is that ruzzia can not invade those countries anymore like they invaded Ukraine

To understand the essence of what is happening, you need to know the history. But even if you look to whom they shout "Glory to the heroes" - who are these heroes? And for understanding: there are more Ukrainians living in Russia than in Ukraine. The war is not with Ukraine, but with Nazism. In Ukraine, the same technology was used as in Germany, when smart people were turned into a gray zigging mass in two years.

@@kingseb2252 Only the war began in 2014, when the regions, where the majority of the Russian-speaking population lives, began to oppose the coup d'état with a Nazi orientation, where only those who ziguet Bendera are normal citizens of Ukraine. And you called it a victory for democracy. For this, they came to kill them with tanks and aircraft. Open the card to vote for the presidents of Ukraine and you will be able to pass the test of your intelligence. Even a child will understand that the eastern regions will not agree with the coup that has taken place in Ukraine and will rise up. I myself studied for 4 years in one of the cities of Donbass and I know what kind of people live there. Now, as in the good old days, all of Europe has risen under the Nazi flag. It happened before. You better think about whether you want to live. There is one option to defeat Russia - this is the day x, when the whole world lies in ruins. Do you need it?
