It's way more fun than it should be. Playing 10 pin bowling with groups of bad guys never gets old. Throw in 20 tech, 20 cool and Breakthrough, Lizzie and a Sabarra and you legit have the most OP build in the game - the solo build I got going on right now MaxTac can't actually kill - health regen below 25% health is too strong for them to be able to finish V off.
Is it just me or do more people need to talk about this game. I played it 2 years after it came out after all the updated and was so blown away. The combat and specifically the gunplay is so chunky and viceral. And the craziest part is the vibe of energy this game gives off. I can’t explain it like your date with rouge felt so surreal or even finding bartmoss on the fridge or the weird men in black people coming for that corpo couple. It’s such an original experience. It deserves more praise and a sequel to finish V’s story
I played it the week it came out, bug free, on an RTX 3060 and 5600x PC. It was amazing from the very first day, it’s a shame they released it on PS4, would have saved a lot of drama. The first time I rode off with the Aldo’s into the sunset I cried…
I always thought it was an awesome game. I played it on release on a ps4 pro, BUT the bugs and performance really bought the experience down for me. I really wanted to love it but it was just one of those times where the technical issues really made the game suffer, overall id say i still enjoyed my time then though. Fast forward to 2.0/ Phantom Liberty i picked it up on sale on PC. With a beast of a rig and an ultrawide QD OLED display i was absolutely blown away, probably one of if not the best looking games I've ever experienced. It also just plays and feels better on PC, couple that with the OLED ultrawide...jesus...chefs kiss. I'm glad CD project red knew they had a good thing on their hands and committed to fixing it, no doubt they're a very talented studio
Right? I'm so not kidding when I saw the Yinglong trivializes the overwhelming majority of enemies in seconds. It has great damage, a freaking insane magazine of 60 rounds, smart aiming, and the emp effects usually stuns the enemy you are shooting/the enemies in close proximity of the one getting shot. What makes it's insanely OP is that you can make this combo insanely early by just getting a Cyber deck and just spamming weapon glitch or cripple movement.
It is the highest dps weapon in the game. You do need both explosion damage + electrical damage though for it to truly shine. Of course you want to activate Miltech Paraline MK.4 (60% bonus electrical damage) as well. I have killed Smasher within 45 seconds on very hard with it.
Yeah I just started, figured it was a good time to finally get into it. Glad I waited. Its like... all I want to do now. I haven't enjoyed a game like this since RDR2.
@@hp2823 Solid charachters, dynamic world, good story and decent mission variety. It doesn't constantly remind you its a videogame. Its not all compound clearing and fetch quests. Your decisions matter quite a bit, you can open or lock yourself out of entire questlines by saying the right/wrong thing and you have the option to go against the mission and betray everyone. It doesn't have the subtle dynamism that the RDR2 world does but its better than literally everything else by far. My only complaint is that most stealth missions aren't failed by blowing your cover, and a few charachters come back later and don't seem to know or care you have been killing their crew and stealing from them the whole time lol.
Also a complaint... Panam isn't down for the girl on girl action so I gotta make a new playthrough to get in on that. 🤣 I pretty much made my charachter to be Jane from Johnny Mnemonic. Maybe I will go for a Johnny role play next time. It would appear Johnny Mnemonic and Johnny Silverhand might be distant relatives. 🤣
Man I gotta watch that movie again to get the timeline... pretty sure its supposed to be the 2020s.... could Johnny Silverhand actually be Johnny Mnemonic after his experience and revelations in that movie? 🤣
i randomly stumbled across your channel when you had just started cyberpunk content and i watched every single video since. you quality is incredibly high and i still remember kicking back and relaxing to the "secrets of all the gigs". Those videos were the best, with every single option included after playing all of the gigs there was still new stuff to be seen.
Congrats on 100K!! 🎉🎉 You’re single-handedly the reason I’ve gotten this into Cyberpunk as a world rather than just a game! Keep up the amazing content my man!
Aw man, Ba Xing Chong not even being in the honorable mentions is a shame, I swear on my crowd killer build it's crazy and kills almost everything, especially in bossfights.
Congrats on 100K! Shame to not see Order on the list. I understand why, but it's extremely fun to just vapourise everything in front of you, especially if you use bolt for the EMP explosion for people you missed
I dunno if it was mentioned below but Death and Taxes has quickly became a favorite with the Sandy stealth build, paired with optical Camo and a silencer, on Very hard and not max level, head shots in Sandy time will kill most enemies in a single go. I'm sure there is better but 2 shots with the right perks is very deadly when its pinpoint accurate.
I'm a recent sub, glad to be part of the last few thousand to push you over the 100K mark! Good voice, decent production quality, not annoying, etc. Figured you deserved it. One of these days, I'm going to lean into tech weapons, but I've been having too much fun playing as a pissed off chimp with Guts and Gorilla Arms. Having a 20B/20R/20T/18C lets me play around a little, but couldn't quite fit the tech perks in.
I generally use Johnny’s Malorian. Yeah, I know it’s not the best or most powerful, but dammit! It’s got style for days, and it’s still pretty good. But, I do get why it’s not the best. Other pistols are more versatile that the Malorian, which is only really good at open combat. And open combat isn’t a good idea when you’re playing ‘EldenPunk’, so I get it. Congrats on the 100k subs, but I bet it’s gonna get higher than that. See you in the big leagues Sam!
gratz on 100k subs sam! this calls for a celebration! how about a smart guns ranked video?! (even if yinglong takes 1st, it still be great to see how the rest fare)
Idk about y'all but the only gun I need is the tier 1 unity. I roll up to any back alley party and the Valentino's die from laughter you can't beat that.
Congrats on 100K subs! Yinglong is definitely my favorite weapon, overall. Obviously, it's only any good if you have a Smart Weapons build, though -- a netrunning gunner, like you said. But it's absolutely awesome because of its EMP -- it'll take down robots, vehicles, drones, and people of course. So when you're out of RAM, just start shooting -- you kill it, no matter what it is. It's absolutely the best gun ever for vehicle combat, by far. Just make sure your ammo is topped up -- it doesn't chew thru ammo as quickly as the Hercules, but it goes through it pretty quickly.
It's pretty awesome even without going netrunner. I'm doing a full playthrough with a sandy and Yinglong was one my primary guns for a long time. Reaching for Crimestopper and Moron Labe more often now but netrunner or not some smarties are still a blast.
as one who plays sniper, I still prefer un-iconic Nekomata. It has all the same stats as The Breakthrough, minus unique no-charging ability, but it can be looted almost everywhere, meaning it constantly improves during whole game without extra cost, and can get up to 3 mod slots. With right perks and Hydra iconic mod easily one-shots everyone.
You can modify the Saratoga SMG with explosive rounds and a drum mag and get a headshot machine that shreds pretty much everything in the game especially when combined with SMG perks
The weapon that carried me the most was any throwing Knife with the mod that lets it ignore gravity. Shit was straight up op. So much damage and super fast, on top of that a lot of nice perks you can skill to make it even more effective. It also feels great with a sandevistan. 10/10 can recommend
I absolutely love Satara. It's been one of my go-to weapons since my first play through. So glad you can favourite weapons now, I accidentally disassembled or sold it so many times when going through it quickly.
Congrats to 100K Subs. Considered on making a Video about the Mechanic of the Cyberware Upgrade Modifiers? (the small Bonus passives near the Bottom, mostly percentage-based, which are rerolled after every Upgrade) Some are clearly better than others, depending on playstyle, with things like Headshot, Melee, Quickhack and Stealth Damage, DoT, RAM Recovery on "Kill", Health & Grenade recharge buffs, aim speed, weapon handling, sometimes even more Crit chance or damage, so you're encouraged to stack as many of those that you want on the already Build-based Cyberware as you level up your Chrome.
Health item recharge and grenade recharge and increased melee damage are tops, then there are secondary items health regen (which is always pretty slow and doesn't help much), extra explosion damage. The worst is increased carrying capacity as its useless if you disasemble all colored guns your not using and sell all white guns AND...you can drop them in the trunk of your vehicle and sell things later if wished. Another waste is ram recovery on kill at 1/10th % as you would get 1 ram back for 10 guys killed, wow. Increased stealth damage is good if your doing rear takedowns and silenced pistol stuff. The FeenEx cyberware gets you a 250% ram recovery for the lowest 4 ram only (green), but is an almost instant recharge ( I tested it with video proof). Oh...and you want to perk into having multiple choices when upgrading cyberware to choose the best extra bonus to the modifiers.
Congrats for 100k my guy!!! well deserved, heres to another 100k in record time 😊 but i wonder, (as seen at 12:15) is noone else noticing that the Cetus up to purple quality has a crit chance multiplier aswell, and so had the gold one until 2.1 update... I still think thats a bug since else the gold quality would be pointless, as the other XC-10 silencer type have 150% stealth/ -10%dmg at purple quality already 😮
Big congrats on 100k bro, ever since finding your channel, you’ve been my source of best weapons, vehicles, cyberware builds and much more, big thanks and keep up the grind ❤️🎉
I think the Kyubi -mod 2 is a really underappreciated weapon. Sure it doesn't have any fancy able but it works all ranges, with a good scope, muzzle, Ready Steady mod and Firecracker, you get a gun that does it all. Coupled with a Kerenzikov and Immovable Force cyberwar you have an explosive persecution rifle that can cope with any situation, and when silenced, functions as a strong stealth weapon. It these modes, it becomes quite overpowered.
There has been some debate between the Breakthrough and a standard Nekomata being the best since the Nekomata can take mods...specifically the Wallpuncher made from the Chimera Core, but there is a subtle reason why the Breakthrough is definitely better and flat out nasty. Tech weapons are bonkers strong when you can use their Bolt shots, being that they can eventually completely ignore armor, chain-strike to other nearby enemies and light them on fire. But for the Nekomata (and other tech weapons) the Bolt shot is not present at a full charge, its at roughly between 60% and 75% or so charge. The key problem is the minimum charge needed to have the shot punch through the wall is only at the end 5% to maybe 10% of that, so the timing on putting a Bolt shot through walls is very, very tricky. The Breakthrough, with permanent punch-through, gets past this. So you can Bolt Shot to your heart's content without having to worry about that narrow sliver of timing, and as an avid Nekomata and Satara user, trust me...THAT IS DEATH INCARNATE. And then you can put that Wallpuncher on your Satara instead so your close-range combat is sheer carnage as well, since you only get one of those Chimera Core mods.
Congrats man!🎉🎉 Had your channel recommended as soon as I started playing Cyberpunk, and watched you until I just finished my first play through a week ago. Time to go Corpo Fem V!
I’m literally in shock. Would’ve never guessed that in the video like that won’t be Johnny’s Malorian. In cool/pistol build this thing obliterate everything with style. Ok, i guess i understand not putting it in one of those main 1-10 places, but.. not even a f4cking honorable mention. Agh that hurts 😭 Btw, Congrats on 100k, like your content a lot man 🎉❤
Capped at level 60, just got the final missions of main story and phantom liberty left, my go to guns are the tier 5++ iconic tech pistol that has slingers deck, gris gris, tier 5++ db2 satara with tier 5 condenser and a tier 5 supercharger mod or tier 5++ m251s ajax baeghest version with tier 5 jue scope, tier 5 rc7 muzzle for recoil direction reduction and one tier 5 pyro mod and a tier 5 ready steady mod (better than any iconic assault rifle currently) and a tier 5++ baerghest version nekomata with gaki scope, iconic wallpuncher mod and that mod that cancels movement penalty for heavy weapons at the cost of armor penetration. Gotta say, tier 5++ baerghest version weapons are often better than iconic weapons cz they pack greater damage, but also can be modded according to my playstyle. I was initially a netrunner that relied on stealth, now with these guns and cyberware to grant me about 1250 armor, even the most packed gunfights are a breeze on hard difficulty.
I remember when the game came out and I was struggling to make a build that could keep up with the main stories pacing, watching a spiffing Brit video about revolver builds and playing through with only revolvers. Second playthrough after all the patches and I ran mantis blades my all time favorite build in this game and the third run with the newest expansion with mantis blades it’s so fun
with how flashy and badass it is, along with the maxxed out handling, the malorian arms 3516 is one of my favourite guns. another one i love is the DB-2 testera, basically cyberpunks very own super shotgun, ESPECIALLY with the firecracker mod in phantom liberty
I've been using a Chrome-Compressed Solo build using Guts, the X-Mod w LMG, and Archangel and its been a lot of fun just running into a room of unsuspecting morons and sending them to hell before they even realize what's going on.
I did most of my first full playthough mostly blind (a few specific walkthroughs when I got stuck). Your videos have helped me try out playstyles I might not have tried on my own. My favorite playstyle so far is a low-kill stealth netrunner with Stinger or Blue Fang, Overwatch or Rasetsu, and a pistol of some type as my prefered loadout, with the Arasaka cyberdeck. Right now, I'm running a close-range shotgun/blades with a Sandy. Still running enough stealth to pick up some of the gig bonuses, but it's a bit nerve racking to not be able to shut down cameras. At least maxed out Body and Tech means I can open pretty much any door I want.
13:20 So peeps might not know that before the gameplay rework, the Overture (not specifically Kerry's iconic gun) had a "crit chance" stat. Turns out, in the endgame, that the crit chance ratio was 100%. Overture build was crack broken, literally could double shot every hardest boss. I played during 2021 if anyone's wondering.
It's nice to have those legendaries and their effects but I'll stick with the ol school modded gun to make it at least fair for the NPC's 😅 Congratulations for 100k!
Congrats on the 100k mark! I'm glad that Gorilla Arms made it to the list, it's my absolute favourite across my playthroughs. It's a satisfying feeling, at a primal level to "putting your hands to good use."
Your videos have been incredibly informative and have helped me in understanding the way this game works. Congratulations on 100k and cheers to more great content to come
One of my favorite weapons since 2.0 is Death and Taxes + Sandevistan. The delay between D&T's shots actually feels much faster when firing with Sandy on, which makes for an interesting stealth double-tapping machine.
with a throwing knife build, equip agaou, claw xmod2, and any one of sting, fang, etc. then run directly into a crowd of enemies with sandy active and returns times are no longer an issue as you pick it up as soon as you throw it point blank. because of agaou knock down/shock wave all the enemies around you are disabled/recovering from the shock.
You see around these parts we love the bloody Maria. I love the ability to just completely dismember everything in sight but getting more damage because of people being dismembered makes it even more powerful to me.
Another great video Sam! Still no love for the Psalm though? I still use it through the entire game and it serves me well. I use 2 tier 5 mods with it…the Clear Vue scope which you recommended as the best scope and I wholeheartedly agree and I believe what’s called the Strigoi (don’t quote me as my memory fails me at times) which adds +30% chance to burn. In addition you still get +100% headshot damage +25% A.P. With the only negative being a -3% Crit chance which to me is completely acceptable. Now my go to stealth pistol is Death and Taxes with Type 2067 scope which just gets me and the CS-1 Taipan silencer. All in all +125% Headshot Damage x with 100% stealth damage and only +5 damage reduction. Trust me you pop any choom in the head with this and they will go down accept bosses. Now I did just find a T5 Nue with 4 slots that I’m going to experiment with so we’ll see. After that my fave sniper currently is the NDI Osprey found in the Moth after the Black Sapphire shindig mission. Wouldn’t mind seeing what you think of that particularly prime piece of ordnance! Though I am now on missions to find the Breakthrough and the Raiju!
Breakthrough with the bolt perk is just... satisfying Great list but i would say Death & Taxes (especially after upgrading) is one of the absolute best early game guns you can get. No matter what else i had equipped that little sweetheart was permanently slotted.
For the vibe and feeling alone, I’d put either amnesty or archangel near the top, maybe even my number 1. As someone who plays mostly on hard difficulty, the feeling of one-shot headshotting most enemies from mid to late game is just the best feeling ever for me. It makes me feel like a quickdrawing cowboy like no other game ever has (yes, even red dead 2)
Congrats on hitting 100k! Always fun picking through your videos whenever I'm messing around with build ideas to help get an idea of what weapons I may want to use. Got a really fun all range tech gunner build going with my favorite gun being the DR12 Quasar which I wrote off and forgot about a long time ago. However after watching your revolver list I tried it out with the wallpuncher and spinetickler mods I really love it so thanks for that. As for my personal favorite weapon I'll have to go with the projectile launch system. I'm always using it as a supporting weapon whenever my builds aren't based around another arm cyberware. With the right perks/relic perks it makes you so much more tanky just by simply using it and it's also fun to use with kerenzikov. Also allowed my non stealth throwing knife build to go countless back to back rounds against maxtac on very hard.
Buzzsaw gets my vote for favorite!, one of the few guns in the game that functions like an actual gun with bullets that don't get stopped by random light cover objects and interior walls.
