I'm planning a massive trip in March 2025 with 2 mates who have never been before, to show them around BKK and Kanchanaburi. 11 days.. I'm already finding that the calendar is fairly pencilled in already. 😂

I'm with you, Sathorn is my favourite area to stay - on the way to or from Hua Hin. I always make a boat trip down to Banglumpu for a weekend afternoon beer on Soi Rambuttri.

The sad thing is if Paddy looked Asian they would let him in with his speaking ability. ( as he said he can even sing the national anthem). Sadly it has a fundamentally racist undertone.

I was in Sathorn a few days ago, near the Ghost Tower, and took a few river boats. Some time ago, I visited Wat Saket. The Thai friend who took me there ordered me not to pay, disliking both dual pricing in general and the concept of forcing offerings at a temple. (Just not going to the window at all works!)

Lumpini Park in the early morning or late afternoon is definitely my recommendation. Do a walk or a jog around the car free loop and see an amazing number of activities done . I know Paddy would easily find a video's worth there
