I just received my kit which contains actual OEM parts to complement the kit The Baja components have great build quality. My kit for LED Fog lights is for my new 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman 2, Snow Chief with Upfitter wiring for use with programable cab switches. I can not wait to install this week .
@@derekblackwell3189 I should also mention that the performance and quality of theses Bajaj fog lights and backup lights is beyond my expectations...and I am critical coming from aerospace industry... solid design and best materials for cost. The lights far exceed Ram OEM performance and another bonus is the fog lights look great.... very happy with purchase... I took my time routing the harness making look like it was factory installed. The most difficult part for me was working with the little Bezel studs getting my large hands in position. I ended up making an extension on one of my ignition wrench set bent the way that added to tools use... I had a piece of annealed copper tuning I slid over the small wrench and fattened in a vice to secure wrench internal to the tube. Then bent the extended tube to aid in its access to the nuts .... simply tool alteration.
Hey guys ! Love the video, just installed mine here in Australia. Is there a way to turn off them from automatically turning on while turning and with indicators ? Cheers 2023 laramie 3500
I really dislike the yellow color of BD, i much rather have the amber color of Rigid. I wish Rigid would introduce a kit like this to work with their D series pro. I'd pick one up immediately. Hmm, Do you guys think I can fit a d-series in this fog light trim piece? I think they are both like 3" squared, so while the BD has a rounded corner I wonder if the rigid can be fitted somehow.
I got my light set in the mail 1 package from cjc and one from baja, Now from cjc you get 2 parts for each light and no instructions on anything so be prepared to sit or lay under your truck and figure it out on how to take off the fog light on your truck and how to put the ones cjc sent you not counting the sensors that are in the housing. Now for baja make sure you have a meter so you can find out how to connect the lights to your system their plug you have to put together yourself and the instructions baja don't even tell you this. For $450.00 I think it BS. I should have at least some kind of idea before I get on the ground to do the job!
I think your issue is you didn’t get the common sense add on. Any basic tools can just take apart the fog light kit. You don’t need a college degree or even a high school degree to do it. I was able to put my kit together fairly quickly with just common sense. I opted for that upgrade upon check out and it was worth it
Just started watching you guys love the content you guys are awesome question i have a 99 ram 1500 2wd gas what do u recommend either carli or thuren for ride quality mine is garbage original everything and is worn slap out
On the sae fog lights what would happen if you take out the black insert? I bought these and was hoping for a little more light. I have the amber. And on mine to change the lens I would have to take them completely out because the plastic insert cover you sent me covered up some of the screws.
They would no longer be street legal with those covers removed, but that won't change the overall light output. It will only change the beam pattern. Like we mentioned via email you'll likely be happier switching to the Sport version of these lights as they have about a 1,000 lumen per light increase in output! Again though, those are not street legal. You can only make a street legal light so bright, and the SAE is right at that legal limit!
Install is pretty straight forward. We did just film a video of the whole process last week but had to wait for a truck to come in and get them with enough time for us to film.
Will those amber lights fit on my 2020 3500 crew cab tradesman? My 1 ton did not come with dog lights. Just a plastic covering. Now the light switch has a button to turn on the fog lamps. So I'm thinking my mechanic can hook them up. Let me know. Thanks!
We don’t know the draw on the stock lights, but here’s a link to the tech info from BD on those. We can confirm they do work in the fog light position on these trucks. www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-pro-pair-driving-combo-led.asp
It’s very straightforward. Just remove the factory lights and bezels, bolt these into place, and follow the Baja Designs wiring instructions! If you have basic hand tools you can get it done.
@@CJCOffRoad I received my kit but the instructions are lacking. Can the OE fog light bezels be removed from the front or am I going to have to start removing plastic trim for the back side of the bumper. I hope not the latter.
@@CJCOffRoad thank you so much for the response. I’ve been checking often. I do hotshots and my 2019 Dually didn’t come equipped. It’s a must to have so I’ll be buying as soon as they’re released

@@CJCOffRoad Excellent....thank you! I have the money saved up to get my 2019 2500 fitted with the leveling kit, but I haven't pulled the trigger because I haven't decided on 35s or 37s. I should have bought the truck with the 4.10s instead of 3.73s....damn! That's what has me hung up.
@@CJCOffRoad you’re right until the install of the plug ‘n play adapter. I must have gotten the wires switched because the lights are not working and getting the red connector lock back on is a pain.
Cool lights. Wiring is garbage. No instructions for what wire is for what. Lining up the black wires seemed to work. They are awesome when they are installed and working though.
