I found that changing the reticle size to the lowest percent actually made me shoot a lot more accurately. Especially while using dmr’s. Try it out, changes red dots, 3.4x and 4x sights
I will add my own nugget of info here. If you happen to alt tab the game, for whatever reason the games FPS will tank. To fix it, change your fullscreen resolution to something else, then change it back to your preferred resolution/hz. Hopefully this helps someone else who’s having gross FPS issues. Also thank you for this guide. Easy to understand/follow, no bs. I’ve got 900 hours on console and 100 on pc, and for the entirety of my time on pc I’ve been screwing around with other graphics guides that don’t really help performance, but this does. The gameplay setting are pretty helpful too, wish I knew about them in 2013!
I've been playing the game for years and the video showed me a lot of things I had no idea about lol Probably the most complete compilation of useful settings out there, not to mention the nice editing and explaining. Great work!
@@SilkOCE yeh ik. I just usually associate anything with “alypse” as a kinda negative thing. As I said in the prior comment, I see new players as a good thing. More people to enjoy the battlefield, and less sweating from constantly having to battle longtime veteran sweats
Wow a lot of this was extremely useful. Uniform soldier aiming, the jet camera not rotating, and the attack heli gunner camera not moving. Thanks so much!
Ive been playing since 2014, my settings are already setup very similar. Bloody love the influx of players, just more fun messing with new people with advanced movement stuff like mouzou on locker xD
I played BF 4 on Xbox 360 and haven’t played it since. I just bought this to get back into modern combat for 2042, and have sucked horribly. No joke your settings made me go from a K/D of 4-15 k to playing a K/D of 25-15. Crazy how some settings can change how you play.
Thanks so much! I just started playing today and these settings have been a game changer for me. I really like BF4, I regret missing the boat first time round.
used your settings + my preferences and that shit works wonders. i played some rush today and got 1st place. sweetfx is also pretty great, youtube compression doesnt do it justice but it looks gorgeous in game in 1440p. im glad i watched this vid
This is very helpful for me. I just got the game and playing it for the first time. I do play on console though but will use these settings as much as I can.
The "always use fullscreen" advice is about 6-7 years old. Used to, the application didn't have priority if it wasn't fullscreen. But that has changed so now Windows knows if an application is in borderless windowed and will give it priority resulting in the same amount of input lag between borderless fullscreen and fullscreen. If you're still using Windows 7 then you need fullscreen. But Windows 10 fixed this a long time ago.
USA 0% - THANK GOD! I've been using this for years and ppl say I'm stupid...133 or 178 is right blabla... Then with the 2042 hype I recognized ppl like you and Enders - I appreciate skill so you 2 got me and baahm! 0% USA from both of you! thanks for the tutorial - one or two tweaks I need to test :)
well what's right isn't always going to be "best". There are many professional gamers in every video game where they may use some rather questionable settings or setups. This means that comfort and preference can be more important if literal professionals often prioritise those things too. But, just because something that's "right" isn't what you prefer, doesn't mean it isn't right when given a certain context. But, if you have not yet tested to see what you may prefer, then the correct settings are the best place to start from.
I'm definitely going to use this handy video. Nice work as always. Did you link the bit about the Uniform Solider Aiming coefficient? I couldn’t find it but certainly interested in learning more about 0%.
Something I noticed while in the testing range is if you turn off "Objective visibility in Zoom", then the enemies markers also disappear while zoomed. Maybe it's just me?
10 months late, but for anyone else curious about this, the markers for the shooting range targets are programmed as ‘objectives’ so that they stay there permanently. If you move to the enemy LAV/tank and spot them, they are enemy spot markers.
Okay about the ad "hunting clash" or whatever it's called. Low key if you in the UK had firearms and hunting as readily available as an activity to you... You would probably really enjoy it low key.
Hi there! Really liked your guide, i have one quick question though. Is it possible to set the icons to fade out when aiming except for the enemy icons? I can't seem to set it up as it is tied to the "objective visibility" slider, while i would like for the flags to disappear when aiming, i'd like to see the enemy "doritos" clear as day, maybe some setting in the config? Thanks in advance EDIT: Never mind, that setting doesn't work in shooting range and works exactly like it should in normal play!
12:58 Why is low-latency off? Shouldn't it be on ultra? Reduces performance by like 1% but decreases input lag. Also it's probably a good idea to cap FPS at something your PC can sustain 100% of the time to reduce input lag as the GPU starts falling behind the CPU when the FPS is uncapped.
Capping ur fps to ur refreshrate/a multiple, so 60 hz to 60/120/180 fps or enablying g/free sync if supported by ur screen is a good idea tho. It prevents the timings between frames buffered and displayed from messing up and causing them to be displayed an inconsistent amount of time. Also in this case the jump from 240 to 300 fps is basically meaningless.
Thank you!!! This is exactly what i needed. After years of not playing on my gaming rig, it great to play bf4 once more. Hell my rig still holding it value with this crazy gpu prices
I'm more curious about your upload settings for youtube, what do you use, what bitrate? Granular stuff like that! thanks! (Also amazing comprehensive guide, I've been playing this game for many years now, and I've never touched some of these settings outside of fov and some keybinds)
Uniform aiming ON + 100% soldier zoom sensitivity makes my ADS so slow hahaha is this just a preference? I feel it is better with the multiplier a bit higher and the uniform aiming OFF
Hi! Is there any way to increase your FOV more than the game settings allow? I had a bug playing a few days ago while flying the jet and the FOV was ultra wide. It was really cool to play like that.
nvidia filter is better than sweat fx rn, takes less perfomance and also looks better IMO, but of course there´s people with amd gpu´s so this one works fine.
one question silk I´ve been following you since the start of bfv and have always loved ur settings the thing is that when i go to properties from bf4.exe i cant do anything in compatibility
Came to the comment section to see if anyone else is having the same issue. When I go to the bf4.exe properties the compatibility section isn't even there...
On your recent videos that you upload for the mbts, party lav, etc. I noticed that when you use thermal optics it's a bit different than usual what setting is that because I like the looking of the thermal optics on your recent videos
