lol deadzoning and counter strafing is the exact same and dont counter strafe just press D let go shoot press A let go shoot (movement in val stops as soon as u let go of movement key)

​@@Lotsof_FPSthey are completely different things, counter strafing is about completely stopping your movement and gives same advantage as just letting go a key. Deadzoning is a component of gunfight pattern where you not only move to throw off enemy's crosshair, but also shoot in accurate moment, but it is about shooting while moving. Yes, you can just let go, but it is not very intuitive to grasp the exact moment when you are fully accurate, so I suggest to learn deadzoning to better understand when to shoot after letting go a key

counter strafing is a thing you should not learn if you don't already do it by habit from cs, since in valorant it gives no practical benefit over just letting go a key. If I were to compare that to deadzoning, they are completely different as deadzoning is shooting while moving, while first one is about shooting while standing still. Deadzoning is good when you are in motion, but want to give yourself extra time to reset your crosshair and probably make enemy to miss their first bullet (or make them readjust as well). If you have crosshair on them and you are sure that you will kill them, just let go the movement key and shoot. All of that and decision depends on how you want to handle a gunfight and what pattern suits you well, as you want to be unpredictable, calm and confident on your gun hygiene.

Counter strafing is not a thing in valorant, don’t worry about it

@@CiferIVno its not. Counter strafing is stopping your movement by pressing the other key which doesnt exist in valorant, bc just letting go already does that. Deadzoning is not stopping your movement, it lets you shoot accurately while moving

basically once you’re good at it you can hold d to swing around a corner to the right and at a certain point hold the A key and there’s a timing where you can shoot accurately while also moving back towards cover, there’s also the poppin swing which i wouldn’t worry about for now

@@michaelyt2317just don’t crouch in long range fights. In low elo crouching and spamming makes your enemies have an easier time of shooting your head since their crosshair is on the ground. If you look in vct, they mostly crouch spray because they don’t take longer range fights, but when they do you realise that they are not crouching.

???? by holding the opposite movement key you start moving in the opposite direction as quickly as possible. You're thinking of counter-strafing. Which is different. With counter strafing, it's so you stop as quickly as possible and is quite unnecessary in Valorant. Deadzoning is where you start moving in the opposite direction, this is useful in valorant and is used a lot to avoid being hit and still be accurate when shooting

@@NethanielBee "there is no spray pattern on the vandal or phantom". I get what you're doing. You're trying to compare it to CS which has the same type of randomness in their own spray patterns. There is a pattern to the vandal and phantom and the first 8 bullets are just the easiest and most consistent to control, you can control the entire clip with like 70% accuracy at medium range, 95% acc close range, and significantly drops off at far range. Similar to CS. AK in cs shoots 9.75rounds/sec while vandal is 10rounds/sec resulting in a more spread out effect when between bullets. imagine slicing a blinking laser across the screen, ofc the fast the laser blinks the more likely you are to hit those shots. This is why phantom feels so much easier to spray in valorant aswell as it's 11rounds/sec. valorant feels more awkward when you whiff compared to cs since the reset time for weapons is so much higher- this is the main problem cs players including myself struggle with when first playing valorant. it's not because 'there is no spray pattern". I consistently got rank g esea, lvl 10 faceit, and radiant top 250 on valorant. just throwing it all out there before u make a petty comeback remark trying to take your own words of context and change the meaning of what you said. In conclusion, yes there is spray pattern, yes it has randomness. You can learn to control. Is it the same as CS? No.
