Anti-aging eyeshadow. The goal here is to make the lid come forward while minimising the crease of the eye (ie - creating more depth). To do this three shades are needed. A light shade, a medium (mid-tone) shade and a contour shade (deeper than the mid-tone). These three shades give the eye the illusion its more open, bright and limited. Final touch is lashes. This is where lashify comes in. Creating gorgeous fluffy lashes that open the eye without losing lid space!

I’m in my 30s but I too have noticed a massive need to change my make up than what I used to so easily seem to do when I was 21. I look wrong like whatever I’m doing lately is just wrong 😑 I’m also over watching tutorials on perfect skinned 19 year olds it’s boring to me now. I love watching tutorials on 40/50/60/70/80s for myself and also my mum, so much more interesting & inspiration x

I'm 32 and have always gravitated towards this style of shadow. I'll try different things and always go back to this. It's how I remember my mom and the Merle Norman lady teaching me how to do my eyes. It's the most flattering on my eye shape and the quickest easiest way for me to do them. I think it's the most universally flattering style of shadow.

Thank you! I tend to shy from eye shadow, you’ve intuitively touched on my challenges- how to clean up, conceal the under eye and dark corners after the color application. Love the simplicity of no shadow primer, using highlighter and contour on the eyes for a more harmonious color palette. I am having fun playing with basic false lashes too... you make it look so easy 🙌🏻

I just rewatched this video, because Beautyliss delivered your Tourmaline Palette yesterday! So excited and I needed a refresher on how you do this. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never comment on videos, but I followed your instructions and for the first time in ages I felt great about my makeup. For the past year I've ended up washing off my makeup after putting it on because it aged me. I'm 50 and the way I used to apply my eye makeup wasn't working for me anymore. I had given up after trying so many different products and other tutorials. I loved this tutorial, it's actually taken me back to how I started doing my eye makeup in my teens (minus the false lashes)! You made me laugh when you said don't do this if you're 16!!🤣 I'm actually already following the majority of this, although for daytime I often only use 2 colours & just bring the contour colour down to the outer edge but make it a little deeper. I've been lining up my "edge" to the end of my brows but take it to the outer corner of my eye as I don't really have that under eye bit that you lined the tissue up with. So glad that I'm actually doing something right! It just seems natural to me to create that "lift" at the outer side of my eye, rather than turn the edge of my lid down. Your tutorials are a must for us 50+ ladies as you explain everything so well. Thank you for being so amazing 😍🥰

I saw 👀 an eye shadow technique, but never dreamed in a million years that it would be a dude teaching it!🤣 You have done an amazing job!! As someone who has never used false lashes before.. I'm wondering.. is there anyone else out there that's kinda scared to use them? Like.. putting "fusion" glue so near my eye? What if I have an allergic reaction, etc.. Is there any data on the long term effects of wearing false lashes vs eyesight? Fears aside, this is a freaking KILLER look!

Honestly, falsies 98% of times look simply like obvious fakes. Sure, people should use what they want to use and if they want that „carpet lashes look“, hey, go for it. I guess they’re safe, but they are also a huge sign screaming make-up. Never understood they appeal beyond theatrics (read: drag)

They’re fun but I just can’t put them on right. I’ve given up on wearing them. I don’t wear much makeup so doesn’t make sense for me to wear. The glue should be lash glue that’s non toxic.

The paper trick works very well for me. I never contoured all the way to the inner part by the nose but, I must say, it looked fabulous when I did it. And incorporating my contour kit as part of my eyeshadow really does balance the whole thing. Love this tutorial.

The best look! Definitely for a woman “of a certain age.” I took the opportunity to allow my hair to grow into my natural salt & pepper shade. It’s very shiny & healthy, with silvers framing my face. Mother Nature did a perfect job. I’m Norwegian & Irish so my complexion is fair.I’m still in the process of learning to use a different palette on my face & certainly adding more color to my wardrobe! I had been strawberry blonde, then red. I knew my colors! They are different now. If you haven’t done, you might consider a tutorial for those fashionistas who took the brave move to be natural and now need a few pointers! I absolutely love your skill and talent.
