Digging the Mall runner, the logo down the side is a great touch. I don’t know how much more scale you can make a Mall crawler look but you nailed it !!!
My Gladiator build is similar including the CCH bumpers, etc. I cut out the window tint on the 2 front doors & the windshield to better see the interior, which I detail painted, added a pup & a more scale drivers head amputated from a 7" figure. Plan to add the Axial Tuff Stuff OL kit & some PE door hinges painted body color. Great job, love the graphics!
The only thing missing is the SBG driver, I think it would be a great touch to put some Abercrombie and Fitch gear on your driver or maybe a nice Holister hoodie as this is a mall crawler and those two brands would be fitting. That is a fantastic looking build, as always your attention to detail is outstanding!! Thank you for always putting out amazing content, during these somewhat boring days stuck at home you have been a beacon of entertainment for all of us tiny truckers!!!
I really like this series that you did about the Gladiator. I liked it so much I went and got the Jeep for my self. Your mod. are Great!! I will put a lot of the mod you have done here on my Jeep. I am just getting back in R/C Truck now because of what you did here with the Gladiator. I Hope that you will make a Stage 4 very soon. Like a aluminum roof rack and light bar, Better shocks, we also need a canoe 19 Inc. long to put on the roof rack of course. Mabey cut down the driver side window to make it look like the window is down 3/4 of the way. PS. I also like the photo editing video that you are doing for the viewers, Great Ida and you are doing a Great job there also. Thanks for your commitment and your Video's specially the one on the Gladiator.
AWESOME Mall Crawler Matt!!! 👍👍 Even looks like it CAN go Off Road too. Totally digging those FAT Manly Tires!! And of course, all your touches and details... Beautiful!!! 👊💯😊 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Knocked it out of the park! Great job on the vinyl work! Nice overland kit from Axial, but my Knight Customs JT kit is already printed and mounted on mine! Love the look of the VP axles! They are my need list!
A build this good needs a really good video. Lucky for the gladiator, the best videographer in the hobby also happens to be its builder! Nice build, Matt! Always fun seeing what you come up with.
They make this stuff for painting table top minis that is just basically super thin black paint that can make creases pop that i think would do wonders weathering the axe handles.
Hey Matt, you need to rotate the right-front headlight, it is sitting crooked on the bezel ! 😲 Simply thought I would point that out, not trying to be over-critical, but it bugs me. Did you notice !?? 😉
That rig is looking super cool! I think you need to take it to the mall for a quick run around the parking lot. Your camera really didn't like the color of those sand ladders at first.
Alot of off-road overland/mall crawlers in my area all have oversized rims and low profile 'aggressive' tread tires. But like my buddy says 'yet he's the freak at the mall when he pulls up in his beat up k5 on 16 in rims and 44 in tires' lol.
I’m definitely going to look into getting a Cricut now. Painting and masking it Hemistorm style is a real pain and I don’t have the patience he does. With over 5 hours into just the Gatekeeper side panels, and the roof and hood yet to mask off, a Cricut would save me a lot of headache.
Love the upgrades!! Only thing I didn't care for is how the rear bumpers sitting below the body (the gap ) they didn't design it in a way to sit flush it appears ?
I found your video to say I just got the tuff stuff kit for my Gladiator with SSC fishing pole, water jug, cooler, storage bin & 2 sleeping bags so mine will be loaded down for a trip to the mall lol 😆👍
I cant wait to see the trail video to thr mall. But you should def have smashed in quarters. Every trail ride ive been on where a JT was there, they either A: smashed in the quarter and or door in front of thr back tire, or B: they high centered... lol good times
Great looking rig Matt really has the Mopar affect for "going to the mall" 🎼 grandma got run over by a Gladiator walking to her car at the mall, you can say their's no such thing as Mopar butt as for me & grandpa we believe...lol 😆 I couldn't resist, stage 4 huh it's your rig do whatever you want 😎👍
I haven't gotten mines yet but the more stages the better until it's complete so by the time I get mines I should have most of what you added already 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Just found your channel. I recently picked up a SCX10 III, though looking at yours I think I'll have to park way back in the mall until I do some upgrades.
Such a good looking truck right out of the box....now it's next level for sure. Looking forward to the first video of it out on the trails. I have a shiny new red Gladiator too and upgrades arriving daily in the mail. Can't wait to get to work on mine. :-)
Damn. Thats a great looking gladiator. Love those axles haha. Great over all style to that truck. I dont even think it needs much more. Its a great clean rig. As always man. Anazing work. Stage 4 should just be the trail run haha. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as always. 👍👍😎
Did you ever take this truck out and do a run with it or was it just for show? Can't find the video if you did? By the way great build i hope to start mine soon!..
I would love to get one of these but they are soooo expensive in Poland :( I think tyres are a litle bit to big for this truck. 37" will fit better in my opinion and a little bit of wider track will give super agresive look to it :)
To make this the Ultimate Mall crawling grocery getter I think you need a overlanding trailer so you can get 16 month supply of groceries in the back LOL. Looks amazing
What would I do next... get another JT body (might need two for the bed), shorten the cab to a 2 door, lengthen the bed, toss it on a JL chassis (or any 12.3 wheelbase chassis) with the straight axle conversion kit, and have a class 2 J6 concept replica.
I call dibs on the tent when we pick up chicks at the mall! Body looks AMAZING! Hemi gave me a guy to paint a custom body, it came out awesome. I'll show you when I get it.
You left the mountain bike out of the video! I'm starting to see those everywhere. First saw it on rc girl's video. Just got mine in the mail today. Printing a spare tire rack to hold it on the back of my ultimate mall crawler, a TRX-4 G500!
I use Adobe Illustrator. I don't know what other programs would work. Have you tried Design Space or designing in Canva and then putting them into Design Space?
@@scalebuildersguild those I will try. Thank you so much. I enjoy all the builds. I drag race but I found a whole new world of crawling which is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum in our hobby. Thanks again for your time
@@scalebuildersguild yeah, i can admit it looks horrible as often as it looks good. But id suspect with your expertise, you could make it look good. I'm more of a dirty wash, then remove all you can, so it's more of a subconscious hint of a shadow.
Damn, at first glance when you turned the truck around, talking about the cchand bumper, I thought the trailer plug cover next to the left of the plate was a Colonel Sanders / KFC logo. Lol
