This was awesome, I felt like I was watching a documentary! Even after seeing your individual videos on Banff, I still can't get over how amazingly blue the water is. The shots around Lake Louise was my favourite part - honestly doesn't look real. Your night photography was awesome btw!
Thank you so much! I still can't believe how blue that water was haha. The night photography was definitely fun but I wish it was a more clear night. Next time!
I am planning my trip to Banff foe next month and this is by far the best travel vlog I have seen of Banff! I LOVE how you show the realistic side of things like lines, parking, the times you were at each place, and what the crowds were like at the time. Just perfect for planning!!
So happy to hear that this video was helpful for you! We try to be as detailed as we can so fellow travelers can plan accordingly😊Have a great time in Banff!!
The water is so blue like you say does look fake but it is just so stunning. The night time shots came out well. Thanks for showing us around Banff it certainly is a beautiful part of the world.
Well, you already know how much we love Banff and that it was Michael's playground as a child. So through that lens, you did such a great job showcasing this magical destination! Now, on to more important details ... who coordinates your hiking and paddling outfits! ;-)
So amazingly beautiful. I love how blue the water is. I've only been to Banff in the winter. I would really like to visit in the summer. It looked a little cold while you were there.
We went at the very end of the summer when things were starting to cool down. Some areas were 30 degrees Farenheit, which isn't too bad but since we're from warmer climates, it was pretty cold to us :)
This is such a perfect video. I felt like I was there with you girls in Banff. So I'm not the only one who thinks that the water looks fake because it is too blue, haha.
Whow what a beautiful trip. One of those places one want to visit, and so worth it I think, looking at your video. Such awesome footage in this video, the scenery looks so peaceful.
When ever i hear Banff i always think of computer golf game called Links 386 that i used play in my teenage years. We used play the Banff golf course. Ok enough of that this area looks amazing, mountains lake and amazing natural beauty. Banff on my bucketlist
Thank you for an excellent video. I have been at Banff with my family so many times but still enjoy watching your Banff trip. I want to forward your link to our students and am sure they will also be excited watching it. Thanks in advance. Doan
This place has been on my list for a long time and now even more! The water at Lake Louise is just amazing ~ nice to know you can get there early and enjoy the views. Even with more people it still was beautiful! Love all the food too :)
Great video! I have lived in Banff for over 2 years now and have recently started vlogging about it. I need to do my own version of this video... I loved it!
Was only able to spend a day in Banff when I went through the area and it was quite cloudy. Will definitely need to plan a specific trip there and explore. So beautiful. Really liked the canoeing on the lake footage.
Oh yes! Was so cool to read about it on your web and now finally watch it in the video! Indeed a very popular and crowded place. But still, you find some more remote and lonely path. Stunning place to visit! Thnx girls for sharing! :)
Hello 👋🏽, we are going exactly the same time 8/28 to 9/6, and I am already stressed about the packing... looks very cold 🥶😩😣. Awesome video, thanks for sharing 👍🏽
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment and we're so excited that you're going to be visiting Banff this year!! Haha it was kind of cold for us in the 30s and 40s but we come from warmer climates, so we may get cold more easily than others ;) Just wear layers and you should be good! We have a video on what to wear and pack for Banff if it helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XYJThu6ALzM.html
Thanks so much for the response. I am a new subscriber 😊👍🏽. I will most definitely check out the packing video. I am in LA, California so anytime below 60s is cold 🥶. My hubby and I stink at packing 👎🏽🤯😆
@@orozcoaj69 Thank you for the sub!❤ Ok, so you're like us when it comes to cold weather then, haha! Wearing layers definitely helps and Uniqlo's heat tech clothes are awesome for cold weather.
@@prasangasandeepana Thank you! We went in September so it was definitely colder. I'm not sure what June will be like but I'm assuming it will be a bit warmer. You'll probably still need a jacket in the mornings or evenings.
This was truly the best Banff vlog, that I've seen to date. Banff is literally in my backyard and I'm sooo lucky to call Alberta home! I'm soo glad you all enjoyed your trip to Banff, AB. Side note: What editing app or apps do you use?
Paradise Valley , with the Giant Steps waterfall is between Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. The Larch turn orange and yellow in the fall and drop their needles. So the first snowfall is like walking on paths of gold! Closed October thru May. Bring bear spray and have groups of four persons.
Wish you could mention some info about the hiking details and length, that kind of info helps with planning for viewers. Or the location of Lake Louis summer gondola, which is not listed with this name on Google map
Great video! We just came back from Banff in May and it was absolutely gorgeous! I feel like it is a different experience in the summer, since most lakes were frozen when we went. Either way, it is beautiful and I recommend it to everyone!
Rob & Mirjana hi!! I’m going in early May. Any advice? Was there a lot of snow? Do I need snow boots? Were there places that were close because of the snow? What were you able to visit? Thank you in advance
Yeah we were pretty surprised too. Lake Louise was especially cold that morning. Downtown Banff wasn't so bad. It's when you drive into the mountainous region about an hour away where it starts to get cold.
I missed Johnston Canyon went I went a year ago. The road was closed. Nice to know there's a bus for next time. Everywhere was so crowded. Didn't know about the Basin either.
Nice video! I was planning to visit banff next month. I was wondering, did you get a film/photography permit in order to shoot this videos? Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Hi , visiting banff will be my 1st time with my daughter. Please let me know your experience. How much it cost ?.i will be coming from toronto. This trip is a short notice .
Would you still recommend going during this time this year? I’d like to take advantage of the Labor Day extra holiday but also.. don’t want to risk it being too cold and possibly too icy for I would like to see the turquoise lakes.
Yes, I totally recommend going this time of year. You will definitely see the turquoise blue lakes. It's cold but it's not that bad (except when you go up the Banff Gondola... that was cold!).
Haha yes, it was already this cold in early September. Downtown Banff wasn't so bad but once we got to the mountainous areas like Moraine Lake and Lake Louise it was in the 30s or 40s (Fahrenheit). We went first thing in the morning, so it might get warmer during the day.
Loved it!!!! Thank you girls,,, But was that a stand in for Candy in the canoe??? I saw that she was blurry and you wanted us to think it was Candy... But we know there’s no way she’d get on that canoe!!! I’d love to go here someday...
Do you need to have your own car to drive around or are there always buses or shuttles to each places you went? I was wondering if it is a must to rent a car to get around
Thank you! Summer is always crowded in Banff but if you plan on going there this year, you might get lucky and not have as many visitors. A lot of people are being very cautious of the coronavirus and holding off on travel plans.
We were meant to go to Banff this year but... 2020 kind of messed up our plans. :D I must confess that I thought the blue water I saw on Instagram was photoshopped but woah, I was wrong! Hopefully we'll get to visit in 2021!
Aww that's too bad you had to cancel your plans. We had to cancel several plans for 2020 as well. Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year of travel for all of us!
Thanks for sharing and quick questions on duration; how much time it took for the whole Jonston Canyon trip with the bus up and down and the hikes ? Also how much time we should reserve on average for an attraction ?
Hi Raees! Johnston Canyon took about 3 hours total. Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are fairly quick stops, probably 1 hour, maybe 2 if you like to take lots of photos like us. It'll be longer if you decide to go on a hike nearby.
We went at the end of August. I don't think it'll be as cold in July. I've heard that it's pleasant weather during the summer. Might be a little cool in some areas.
I love your videos. I'm finally going to Banf next month. How was the cell phone reception there? (to navigate the road and browse the internet). Do you recommend an internet hotspot?
Thank you so much! So excited for your trip to Banff!! The reception was fine in downtown Banff. It may be spotty once you go near the lakes. Skyroam always works great for us when it comes to internet hotspots: www.thetravelpockets.com/new-blog/skyroam-solis
