A lot of people keep asking about the pricing of this basement. We decided to break it down in detail for you. This basement is more complex than most and there are a lot of bells and whistles that are included in this basement that you would not need in finishing a basement this size. We use this as a show room. With that being said, I will break down the pricing below. Basement is 2,700 square feet. The general contracting work for the basement was $60,000, including all design, framing for all rooms, sheetrock, finishing, electrical, plumbing, painting, and all other general contracting work. There is another $50,000 in custom millwork throughout the basement. This is including the staining of this custom millwork. Our staining was not done by a painter, it was done by a professional furniture finisher. This is for the custom millwork throughout the basement including the bar, home theater, molding, etc. The home theater A/V package including the projector screen and all equipment was approximately $15,000. Again, all of these items can be done for much cheaper depending on what the customer wants. Tile flooring throughout the entire basement including the bathroom and shower area was $15,000. The carpet and gym mat flooring was $4,000. The sauna and steam room was $9,000. In this basement we also installed an HVAC damper system, along with relocating all the duct work to create nice tray ceilings. The cost for this was $10,000. We added an exterior walk out entrance including brick pavers and doors for $15,000. Again, this basement is used as a showroom and a basement of the same size can be finished beautifully for much less than this basement. We just wanted to pin this comment here for everyone asking!
@jeremiah sams Check out the pinned comment at the top of this video that goes into detail about the cost of the whole thing. This basement is one of our larger ones and had ALL off the bells and whistles included. We finish basements from about $15,000- over $100,000!
@@seniorpeor1370 in our "framing a basement" video we have a super neat cigar lounge in there for you to check out! There is a hair salon in this specific basement because the homeowner's wife is a hair stylist so it was perfect for her to cut hair from home!
I’d kill to have a walk in humidor/cigar lounge and bar in my home! I’m sure with the right resources and whatnot it can be done but lots of money to make it happen of course.
It was 110,000 just for the contracting and millwork. Then another 68,000 on top of that....yeah definitely the owner of this one had a lot of disposable income.
this truly is the #ultimatebasement. your #designideas are impeccable. you can use the word #custom and #custommillwork / #customwoodwork all you want because this basement is #custimeverything! love the #smarthome and #crossfitgym as well!
Wow that's beautiful... This home is very nice and all the craftsmanship and woodwork through out is astonishing!!! Thanks for sharing your home...👍💕🔥🔥
Thank you! Subscribe to our channel as some of the basements we are working on right now are going to blow every video we have out of the water! :) we appreciate it so muvh
Great ideas. I need make the bar and movie room smaller . I debate if I should keep it all open . Of course Isee a lot of ways to cut the costs but still make it awesome.
WOW $178K sure looks like it and i'm sure more money was spent on furniture and etc,etc ! well very beautifully done its very impressive love it Great job!
Just pinned a comment to the top breaking down the cost of this basement! This basement is used as a showroom so we can finish a basement of the same size for much much less. We added every bell and whistle we could into this one.
Yes this homeowner and a lot of our homeowners like getting custom millwork in their home, stained or painted. We use an actual furniture stainer to stain all of our custom bars and custom woodwork so it comes out looking really sharp. We've also done some all white ones recently as I have noticed a trend in people doing a lot of white with accents of color. Those come out beautiful as well. Thank you SO much for your kind words.
Only ONE workstation in the hair salon?! Come on, Pat. Everyone knows you have to have at least TWO in a great basement! Seriously though, totally fantastic. Amazing. If only I had a basement....
$178,000 just for the basement.Considering the fact that the rest of the home will be equally if not more so impressive makes this home a keeper. If the owner sells, the value has tripled.Very nice work.
Awesome job it looks great and great workmanship , you guys do good work (If I may be so bold to say price wise depending on where you live I would guess you would be in the ball park of 85,000 ) and that is not knowing what type of appliances you have . but its great no matter how much you spent .
Beautiful bud. I think I’d take out the barbershop and put in a massage room. Maybe there’s a hot tub in the backyard but it would really compliment the sauna and steam room. You’re bar is awesome. I’d be interested to see the lighting in your basement at night. Are there lots of leds? Also maybe more pictures on the wall, more signature furniture and place to smoke cigars. Exercise room was nice. More games though, darts and video/or pinball game. Your man cave is probably the best I’ve seen on RU-vid ✌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
