Something about outfit #1 gives off this "Yeah I'm just gonna casually close this $10M deal and be back with you" vibe. These outfits are so well put together, but #1, #5 and #8 are my absolute favorites. This is going to my "outfit inspiration" bookmarks folder.
Would similar colors but lighter fabrics not apply? For example, linen in places of cotton chinos? Unlined sport coats, etc? I could understand a different colors palate for different places. I live in LA and enjoy desert shades of color whereas if lived in Miami I might lean toward pastel.
Yes, for instance not a single pair of shorts on the entire list. Go live in Central square South Florida for a couple years and tell me you're not wearing shorts half the year. Polo shirt, shorts, and some boat shoes or driving moccasins. If I was making this list myself, jeans would be number one, followed by an Oxford cloth button down in white. Most of the world wears jeans everyday. And most guys don't wear suits or sport coats to work. Those are your workhorse pants get them first. If you don't own a suit, you can rent it. Ain't nobody renting a pair of jeans.
I agree I'm in Texas in a business casual office. Short sleeve button downs and polos are how to survive lol. But I got a few ideas on some things I don't own when the meeting/event needs a jacket/jeans or suit. And I'm probably buying that casual warm jacket though. Living down here I think they last time I bought a coat was well over 10 years ago an I never know what to buy.
Yes tell me about it, although I really like these clothes here in Puerto Rico the heat gets unbearable during the summer months, I end up looking like a walking sweat stain if I use this attire 😂.
Poloshirt (Pikee or Linen), Linen Shorts or Trousers, mix Jeans with a Polo. Mix Linen shorts with a linen shirt and roll the sleeves up. Wear loafers without socks.
Best wardrobe video I've came across. I'm a newbie to building a style and wardrobe and no one explained how pieces can go together and how it can look. Thank you!
Love the denim shirt, grey pants and v neck sweater and hope to get for my own wardrobe so thanks for highlighting them. Exellent video, very helpful for the right people
Great video! Absolutely nailed it with the wardrobe choices; could not have created a better capsule wardrobe myself although I was really thinking and pondering over the idea of creating a capsule wardrobe for quite a while and I was in deep contemplation over which pieces would make the best and most versatile choices for a long term and sustainable wardrobe. Loved the outfits too, and never knew that a navy grenadine tie could work so well with a navy suit, I always thought they were too similar but you changed my view on that. Thank you for giving me another valuable style lesson. There is one change though that I would like to make: I will replace the brown cap-toe oxfords with black cap-toe oxfords as although brown oxfords might be more versatile, a pair of black oxfords are a must have for any formal occasion.
You can still catch up by adding a terrific niche fragrance, the finishing touch of every outfit. During the winter go for Roja's DANGER. You will gain so many points that the lack of a VC will matter less.
I would like to know how he can afford some of these watches. In his video about selling his nautilus, he said he's "not made of money" yet his watch collection would suggest otherwise.
@@bigvanvader3122 I think his watch collection suggests that he is successful and has great taste. The He Spoke Style brand on RU-vid and otherwise reaches an upscale, fashion conscious audience with expert advice and genuine influence. Brian is also a Master Sergeant in the US Army, a professional musician (saxophonist) in the United States Army Field Band. Brian, Robin, and members of the team worked hard for their success and deserve it. Many irons in the fire.
I watched this video last night after watching your videos for about 3 months now and I've finally decided to upgrade my wardrobe. I cant do it all at once and I'm not following this EXACTLY but I'm picking and choosing from here and a few of your other videos. Today I went out and got 2 pairs of jeans 2 crew neck jumpers and a black belt and a brown belt. Every month or so im going to buy a couple things and ticking it off of my list throwing out the old and bringing in the new. I just need more knowledge and eventually I'll hopefully almost have a style im comfortable in :) and looking better than I used to (style wise) 👍
Excellent collection Brian! I think the best part about this one is that it's so genuine: we've seen you style similar outfits in your previous videos! I guess one thing I would want to add is a pair of black dress shoes (or replace the dark brown captoes), but then again I'm also wondering how many people need such formal shoes these days. 😁 - Han
Thank you for being the first one of these videos to mention the type of fabric recomended (not just a cotton shirt.) As a sewer making my own wardrobe this is amazingly helpful
Just stumbled across this at the perfect time - going to get some made to measure shirts today and I know which 3 colours to get now.. also I love how this wardrobe can also work with so many other pieces I already have - keen to start building up my closet!
I sincerely want to thank you for creating such high quality videos. I feel like your page is where I should visit whenever I want to be enlightened about men's style. I believe a man's outfit is an honest reflection of how you've been living your life. I think a man's outfit should be low-profile and of high quality. I also agree with many of your perspectives, for instances a man should own a simple dress watch, better yet if the watch is a heirloom object (your VC watch). Anyway, I am more leaned towards brown pants than denim. Grateful if you would share how you feel about brown pants (jeans or otherwise). Thank you . Keep up the good work for us supporters, please.
Wow.. a lot of dedication and patience in doing today's video! Thanks a lot for showcasing your collection - time to revamp my wardrobe for 2021! haha!
Currently my husband has been asking me about hows his style in office, and he's ready to hear some of my critics. And i give him some visual styles. And i happen to stumble upon this video. And it help me and my husband a lot. And he said he's ready to throw away his clothes. 😂
After losing 95 pounds, after not being able to dress sharp for 20 years+ because I was overweight, I started everything from scratch with 0 usable piece of clothing, and now dressing up like I always wanted to do. I’m on my way to be done but I like the ideas I am seeing there to complete my look. Thanks
I think this is an AMAZING video for your more middle-class fashionist and I took some great inspiration myself with indicates that you've done a good job. Although I just felt the need to comment on one very important thing that might come as an obvious one but still something you forgot to mention. FIT IS EVERYTHING guys and as you can clearly see all of these pieces sat perfectly on him. I'm guessing some of the coats/jackets had been tailored to his measures hence why they looked so great. No matter the price of the items, the fit must be there. Besides that great video once again!
Great video, selection, and advice, as always. Appreciate what you do and the care you put into it. Only thing that jumped out at me as something I’d personally change was the khaki colored chinos/dress pants. Just something I associate with the 80s/90s, moms dressing up their sons, dull workplace attire, and/or the choice ill-fitting pant for people that don’t dress up often and don’t care about style. Just an association I can’t shake, even when I see a stylish man such as yourself rocking a pair of well fitting khaki pants. Would’ve gone with a darker shade or brown, maybe a navy blue instead. Just my two cents.
This is how it is done gentlemen. I will throw out all my clothes today except for my underwear and begin a new wardrobe. I love it. You remind me of Michael Douglas in "Wall Street".
A western style mens leather jumpsuit with fringe on the back , the front and the bottom of the sleeves preferably in red ! I can wear that anywhere ! Ya need to do a video about mens western style leather jumpsuits with finge on em ! I got a firebird on the back of mine in gold like on a trans am . I get a lot of compliments on it at the office and now I'm getting some prescription designer eyeglasses in gold that match the firebird .
Wooooww. Compliments. I don’t like, in general, kaki plus light grey. In this video I don’t like when the white shirt was near the grey pull. While, I really like the outfit 9, amazing. Moreover, I like the grey trousers. 😊
question...first, I LOVE this video soooo much and it has helped me plan my first mens wardrobe (i have always been a man, just with accumulated random clothes). So I have two questions...question 1, can i wear dark brown oxford style BOOTS instead of oxford dress shoes? i am a Chief Financial Officer and our company is business casual (i usually wear oxfords and chinos or dress pants, a suit maybe once a month for board meetings)...I was hoping to just wear oxford boots to minimalize my wardrobe further and was just curious how that would work with business formal situations...question 2, can you do a video like this for a mens preppy guide? Also...question 3...what do you think of wool tweed pants instead of chinos? Chinos make me feel like i work at target (not that there is anything wrong with that at all)...i don't wear denim so i was hoping to combine my casual and business casual situations with a good pair of chinos or tweed pants...i know these are three random, unrelated questions but i had to ask...I LOVE your videos and I never thought i would care a thing about fashion (i was happy with wal mart print t shirts)...now i like fashion because of you
I'm getting close to 30 and this video is exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to find the exact herringbone navy overcoat that you showed. The link in the description isn't the same coat. do you or anyone else that might read this know the brand?
It was from Ring Jacket about six years ago. Not available but we are going to be releasing an extremely similar version in the He Spoke Style shop very soon because so many ask about this one. Check out the shop here and stay tuned for the drop: hespokestyle.com/shop/
I don’t think a suit goes with white leather sneakers under any circumstances. Except for that you have a pretty good sense of balanced elegance, in my opinion.
