All I can say is that you have your own way of cooking Filipino food. This is the first time I saw someone cook Bicol express with ginger. Anyways more experimental Filipino food recipe it's good to see that we can experiment our own food base on our prefer ingredients. I'm cook myself and usually I don't follow the native way of cooking I just follow what I want for my food to taste.
I cooked mine with ginger. I like the flavor more with ginger. I can tell if there's none. ill eat it still sans the ginger, coz others eating might not like it.but i would prefer to have some if possble.
the orig one does not have ginger..I always cook bicol express for my colleagues and I use pure kakang gata every time but everybody does have their own version of it...
Looks yummy. Nice, nakakatuwa sila nagustuhan nila un food. Safe pala sa kanila un fish sauce instead of shrimp paste. In times of inflation, si momi Joy nagpapa free taste pa rin ng mga colleagues. Sharing is caring. 🙏
