I’m curious for a full review on the Kifaru harness. You definitely need more reps with it. The Kifaru lid frustrates me because it doesn’t stay closed for me, all the time. I went from the Marsupial to the Kifaru, and I must say, I think I enjoyed the Marsupial harness better. Looking forward to your next review. Keep up the great work!
Great review of the hits and misses. I never used a bino harness until a few years ago and I can definitely say I missed out on a useful piece of gear for so many years. My first harness was a Badlands Mag-D magnetic closure and I liked it all except for the fact that if I ran or when I would crawl, it would open up sometimes and my binos would fall or bounce out. I started running a Badlands Bino EZ (with the Mag RF pouch) last year and absolutely love it. It’s a pretty similar design to the Marsupial except it uses an elastic closure system. It stays closed while jumping, running, or crawling, and it stays open without the lid flopping. It seems like there is a stigma with Badlands when it comes to ‘professional’ hunters, and almost never see any of them give any thought to anything that has the name Badlands on it. Not that I love all of their stuff but they make a few really great products, the Bino EZ being one of them.
Good to know! Badlands is great for some things but I am not a fan of most of what they offer and that is probably why they get overlooked by many. My dad used one of there packs and one of there harnesses for years. the harness was just big for his linking.
Hey Brother. Great video. After learning my lesson with an inferior bino harness this past season, I'm biting the bullet and getting a Marsupial enclosed harness. The harness I've been using has a rangefinder pouch on the front of it and would get in the way when climbing up into my stand. I just got done doing a string and cable change a couple days ago, so that's out of the way. Now to tinker with lesser important gear. Appreciate all your testing.
I ran the marsupial for a year and the back patch rubbed with my pack and on long hikes drove me crazy. So I switched to the kuiu and it has a back panel similar to the vortex and so no rubs and I love everything about it. Definitely worth a look also. So many great options to fit everyone’s needs in todays market
💯 there will never be that one best one that works perfect for everybody! I am hoping that these insights will help people make better decisions on gear choices and find the one that works best for them!
I have the Marsupial and like it other than the magnets messing with my compass. I will need to check out their new line that does not have magnets because if I cant trusts my compass in the woods I get pretty frustrated.
I really wanted to finish this video was very curious about your experiences with all four but you need to clean up your audio wether it’s your microphone or just the effect of the room your in it’s very difficult to listen to. I appreciate you taking the time to do the video just clean the Audio issues up
Love my kifaru the lid is solid and if your range finder isn’t huge you can use the one pack for both your binos and range finder. One down side is the harness
A few others I'd love to see from y'all are Mystery Ranch, Muley Freak Game Changer, and maybe the Sitka one? Appreciate that y'all speak to the mindset of blue-collar bowhunters.
Thanks for your support! I haven't used the new one yet and I will always have the blue-collar people in mind because that is exactly were I came from! I want to help you make your budget go as far as possible! Buying something that doesn't work will fore your still is a huge bummer!
I just ordered the vortex, I currently have a horn hunter and its actually perfect except the magnets mess with my garmin hand held gps and my garmin watch so I had to go with a no magnet harness
Nice! They make very durably products. I used there packs for years and never had a failure! There are just so many different Bino harnesses out there. I am giving my honest feedback of what I have!
That is one that a lot of people like! I haven't tried it yet. There are so Manny that I can't test them all 🤣😂 although I am working on testing as many different things as I possibly can't!👊
Your sound is super off. Need to bring that mic closer. On a positive note I never knew my rangefinder pouch can be held open like that. I need to watch more of these vids they are really helpful
The vortex is really quiet and I like the range finder tether and the binocular tether great bang for your buck at 130 dollars and definitely comfortable
I don't have one at the moment. There are so many different ones out there that it would be impossible to test them all in one season! I will keep testing and give feedback as it comes in!
