The epic 28000 litre / 7500 gallon planted aquarium is the biggest in Germany. The aquascape was created 8 weeks ago by a team from Dennerle and Hagenbeck Tropen Aquarium, and me!

Because of the rocky cliff in the background and the enormous scale, it looks like you are looking into part of an actual river.

This is literally my dream tank. Massive volume housing small community fish. I would love to see one Red Tail Shark in there. They are so exploratory , vacuuming every inch of everything while they twist and turn up-side-down. Mine would have a ball in there!

@@LottieDeLuscious Nope perfectly safe. They're scavenger feeders, mouth on the bottom, but are extremely territorial and chase other fish relentlessly, earning them their bad rep. But in a large enough tank and enough fish to confuse them they're perfectly safe for community tanks. Just can't keep them with any other shark-looking fish or they'll chase them to death.

Mr. George! This monster aquarium is awesome! ! ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I watch this video again and again, again and again!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 Please ask your friends what thickness the front acrylic panel is. The video is barely noticeable that the front glass is glued in two parts. Am I right when I say that two parts of flat acrylic panels were used in this aquarium: 2meter x 2meter + 8meter x 2meter, and their thickness is 20 mm?

Amazing! I really hope they never clean the algae off the back rock. I love how natural it makes it look. I hope to see more of that top rock get it if that makes sense. Maybe I am just weird because I like it but it reminds me of how much of a difference your cichlid tank looked better with the algae. Is it just me?

I'm wondering how the plants at the bottom of the tank, will fare long term. I'm thinking especially what looks like eleocharis acicularis in the sand substrate, is very deep. It's absolutely gorgeous. There cannot be CO2 injection for such a large volume of water right? Are some of the large roots and major rockwork using actual roots and real stone? That must be heavy! I wish I had a tank like that in my living room LOL.

@ George Farmer ; One of the best looking freshwater aquariums I’ve ever seen, however, I think some Diamond tetras with their sparkly scales would have been a nice addition. It’s really beautiful hopefully more fish will be going in.
