My first Apple device was the Second Generation iPod Touch! Super cool review! I love the lights on the cable as indicators to the charging speeds! & the little screw to hold the cables together is so nice! A little outside my range for a few cables but very useful to know that they’re also very durable! Awesome video as always Jack! :) Can’t wait for the next one!

Upscale product, but looks durable. Nice presentation, Jack - an earlier than usual post, or is this a bonus vid? New technical term - cable tidy😊. LED a nice feature. Perhaps making the lock nuts and connectors magnetic would help. (BTW, I did purchase one of the last of the iPODs.) Cheers!

Expensive, but looks great. I love sturdy cables because those cheap cables often fail. I will think about the set. Great video. You should review inexpensive meters. I always wonder how much power is leaving the charger and entering my devices.

These feel solid with the braiding and metal connectors, but they are pricy! But I think they still have a promo running at the moment, try AOHi20 for 20% off!

If I remember correctly the MacBook Pro 16 inch only charges at 140W using the MagSafe charger?

Hi Jack ~ To preface, TB = Thunderbolt. As you seem to have a good understanding of Apple cabling, in general, I was wondering what your thoughts are on cabling for older Apple devices. Specifically, I'd like to use our older MacBook Pro 15 (with TB 2 ports) with the newer TB3/TB4 cables. Why? Well, when one considers the insane cost of TB cables, it makes zero sense to invest in old TB cables, which are also very expensive. In addition, it's always a great idea to buy things that have a longer life-cycle (aka, "future proofing"), so I'd rather put our limited funds into more modern cabling ... and I just thought of a specific example. What if you wanted to use the older TB2 ports with a newer TB3 or TB4 external drive? I realize that the transfer speeds will be limited by the "weak link" in the transfer path, but, once again, I'd rather put our hard-earned into newer cabling. I've both liked and subscribed, so please keep on making these informative videos. Cheers!👍

Definitely not an expert haha, but here's what I know! TB3&4 uses cables with the USB-C connector, whereas the older TB1&2 use the mini DisplayPort connector. I know that Apple does make a TB3 to TB2 adapter, so that must mean at least some newer TB accessories are backwards compatible with TB2, with limited speeds, but I'm guessing there might be some that just aren't! I would imagine most external drives would be fine though. You might just have to try it to find out! Thanks so much for watching and Subscribing! ✌🏻

I agree. Nice cables, but even considering R&D costs this product probably only has an per unit production cost of about $40 to $60. Charging anything over $70 to $80 is just stupid.

Make the average cable, do it fancy, make the box 3x more expensive than the product itself and promote via influencers tadaaaaaa 100 USD for a cable :D
