Great video! Tahsis is one of the last “remote and untouched” places on the island. Its beauty and peacefulness is soul nourishing. Can’t wait to start spending summers there fishing and exploring! 😄

I lived in Tahsis from 2002 until 2012 - Traveled that road more times than I can count. Always enjoyed the drive, even when it was rough.

The photos of the scenery are awesome! You guys do an great job. I am enjoying the ride with you. Diesel is really a cool looking companion. Have been watching some of the past videos. Actually inspired me to go tent camping this week. Not in cool weather like you have. Pensacola Fl. Weather getting hot ! will do more in the Fall Time. Also, enjoyed the small towns you go to. Hawaii Island where I live is 4000 square miles in size. Nice beaches with BBQ pits and showers ready for you. You need to get camping permits and that's no problem at all. Lot's of beautiful roads to drive on and many water falls and country vistas. The population of the Island is around 190,000 total. I'm in a wheelchair and have a lift I can install that I can operate, with ease.

Thanks for recording this. We only made it so far as Gold River, so really enjoyed seeing the road to Tahsis.
