Just one question! The ElevenLabs integration doesn't seem to work on MacOS. It works on my phone though. I only hear a notification sound instead of the playback. Why could this be and how can I fix it?
Hi! Thanks for letting me know! I am assuming you are on Sonoma? Seems like Sonoma introduced a few new bugs with the Shortcuts app. I went ahead and tested everything (downloaded and reset everything) and it works as it should... but noticed the setup of the main Shortcut was somehow missing, so I've updated the main ToolVox AI Shortcut in the original article with it (afadingthought.substack.com/p/toolvox-gpt-one-shortcut-to-rule). Without this, the "bookmarks" feature was probably not working. A Sonoma bug is that this new folder selection path during the setup doesn't seem to sync well between iOS and MacOS... so, if you set the shortcut up in iOS and then you run it in Mac you may need to go in there and tap the folder and select it the first time for it to run well. No issues after that (i.imgur.com/fMnmtqV.jpg). But this doesn’t address the Eleven Labs issue because I don’t see it on my side. If you want to help me fix this I’ve created a “debugging” version of the shortcut where I’ve added a small popup alert after you try to use the ElevenLabs integration. It’s odd that it’s working on iOS but not Desktop. It means you got all the settings, API, and voice ID correctly set up. The only thing I can think of is that it could be something related to permissions or with your Eleven Labs account itself. Maybe try to download and run the main shortcut on Mac on instead of iOS? (Re-downloading the setup shortcut should not be necessary). Sorry if I can’t be of much help, but running the debugging shortcut I mentioned above should give us some clues.
Hi! I haven't really updated the popclip extension shown in the video because in the end I was finding it a bit too slow. ToolVox has received a couple of updates since its release and I'm not quite sure if the extension continues to work properly or not. I do not have plans to update it because I am almost done creating an Alfred workflow that is much faster, has similar functionality, and I believe it can even integrate with popclip in a better/faster/simpler way - will share soon.

@@augustewolfromm8231 yeah I do plan to make a video where I go over it in detail. ToolVox is still great for iOS, but for some reason it's too feature heavy for Mac OS and is a bit slow there (still not so hard to customize with 3rd party apps though some AppleScript). I believe the Alfred workflow will require the pro pack.

Hi! You have to follow the link in the description and from the article download the Setup Shortcut which you run before the main shortcut (you only need to run it once or after you do any changes). In the Setup Shortcut there's this field for your API token. i.imgur.com/rPPMLnk.jpg That's actually the only one required field for ToolVox to work - though you can customize a lot more of the features and functionality within the Setup Shortcut (there's comments in there to guide the user).
